I have a shepherd mix, and he weighs only fifty pounds. He is twelve or thirteen yrs, and his health is excellent- still runs, jumps, only differnce is h doesn't prefer four mile walks anymore, but he still can go that far if asked to. Excellent dog.
All breeds should have mixed blood- it strengthens them against general stresses of life.

Everything thing they say in the video I agree with I got a 10 year old purebred Shepard he was very easy to train he's very protective of the house and of the small children in our family
The only problem is that he's getting old his hips or going out like the video said any-day now he will pass and be surely missed
