For these size jacks, it might work, but for the big ones, probably not. I don't use bass rods, so I can't give you the best advice, I use saltwater rods.

That was a Yo-Zuri knock-off. I use Yo-Zuri's and the color I like is the blue top with the shiny silver bottom.

I never concern myself with water temperature, I just fish. I know the waters are warmer now then they have been in the past few years.
