So I am definitely interested in buying one of these... I am not really a handy man though but sure I can figure it out! When you bolt it into the wall, I am assuming it has to be bolted into a certain part of the wall, where would that be? (yes a dumb question I am sure, but really, I don't know...)

Not a dumb question. One of the advantages that Lori Wall Beds has over murphy beds is there are not heavy anchors required for the floor or wall. Three 4" 1/4x20 toggle bolts are used to secure the cabinet to drywall. toggles bolts sandwich the drywall, and therefore do not require you to locate studs. Installing toggle bolts requires you to drill/make holes about the size of a penny in your wall.

Hi Fastmako,

There is a set of nylon straps, loope through eyebolts, that secure the mattress to the platform. The platform is secured to the cabinet when it is in the upright position with four sash locks. If you are thinking about ordering, please do it soon as I will not be taking orders after the 1st of November, and won't start making them again until February (having a baby). Thx! -Lori

I have a question: I noticed there is nothing holding the mattress when you lifted the bed, how does the mattress stay in place? Also, is there anything connecting the bed to the wall part (cabinet)?

Yeah, you're right. I guess we should have shot this commercial in a smaller room to make our point, but we assumed you would get the point. For our next commercial we will place our camera man on the ceiling of a room exactly the size of the bed so we don't confuse or mislead any brainiacs with our representation of relative spaces.
