I got my first ocarina at a failure of a renaissance festival in Texas, with a total of about 10 shops and attractions, one of which was.... firebird ocarinas...firestone.. fire-something ocarinas. It was $15 and was slightly out of tune but I've since gotten at least a half dozen more, including one of the original zelda replicas from songbird, with the yellow holofoil triangle sticker for a triforce.

@keeko61285 You can bend the note by slowly lifting, or rolling, your finger off and onto the keyhole. You can clearly see how he does this by closely watching his ring finger (his left hand, finger before pinky finger) in the video. In that bended note, he slowly pulls his finger off the keyhole to gradually increase the pitch then slowly brings it down onto the keyhole to gradually decrease it in one smooth motion, thereby warping/bending the note. Hope that explains it.

Maybe when you play that on the ocarina it might summon a chocobo.much better than epona! 1. stops enemys attacking yo because the chocobo is too cute, 2. the theme plays when you ride a chocobo. a catchy one and makes you feel nice at any time and when you ride epona, all that happens is that you hear the hooves. i play games to escape some reality not have it a game!

@reetenbow If you're referring to bending the note, yes thats basically what you do. You just move one finger to make it go up by a whole step (ex. A to B) and put a tiny bit more pressure, but slowly move your finger. I do it a lot actually ha ha

@donkeykongman0 Actually, I have something very similar to that on my muse- a small chip indent thingy on the left thumb hole. Since it doesn't affect the sound, I honestly don't mind it being there. That's funny, though, that there's the same thing on your dragon tooth.

lol but in all seriousness, the chip rubs against my thumb while playing my ocarina and feels like a blister, any suggestions to remove this feeling? i.e nail polish.

Anyway... I haven't tried to do anything with my chip, because it's smooth- does that even make it a chip...? Well, maybe you could use a bit of that putty stuff- maybe you could ask docjazz4 about it, I know he's used it before. There might be other stuff that works, which might require some experimenting :) Best of luck! ^_^

@MCDoomCarrot He did it just to hold it. When he does that high note, he is only holding down 2 hole. No other way to do it.

He grabs it to give stability to the ocarina when he starts lifting fingers from his left hand. If he wouldn't the ocarina could drop or slip. especially this DragonTooth since it's one of the heavier ocarinas.

He doesn't cover any holes when doing it or the notes would sound just a little bit out of tune.

Apart from that I would never have thought of ever using an electric effect on an ocarina. But it turned out great. Keep it up David!
