It's funny to me that Hartmann assumes that because someone wants to just sit in the street and do nothing, that they are mentally ill. Maybe he hasn't been out on a walk around some of these people. There are a lot of people here in San Diego that are perfectly able to support themselves, but choose to hang at the beach and enjoy life by playing music, asking for change, hanging out with their acquaintances etc.. Our drive to work, to earn things tangible and intangible, seems to be dwindling.
@TarnCharles1968 Most actually oppose the government forcing that on people. Funny how most liberals piss and moan about separation of church and state, then say Jesus would have the government take your money to give to someone else.
Not to mention Thom is wrong. Madison actually said in his veto for someone to show him where the government had the power to give money to charity. So, yes, Madison did object to giving money to the poor if it came by force of the government.
the comments are truly shocking! Obviously these people have never heard Medved's radio show or read any of his books! There is no one I have ever heard who uses logic as eloquently as Medved. And to imply that Hartmann is using "fact bombs" is preposterous
"Since when does more governmental involvement in anything lower the price of it?"
Example - Health care system in Japan (see Wikipedia): "Hospitals, by law, must be run as non-profit... Cost in Japan tends to be quite low compared to other developed countries, but utilization is much higher. This is achieved principally through tight regulation of the price of every medical service."
The Value of Selfishness is Greed and more Greed and selfishness......What's wrong with helping those that can't do what you espose......Human waste is a popular topic nowdays.....
Thomas Jefferson, The Father of the University of Virginia. Yeah, all those state universties that expand the providers of higher education in the market have no effect on its cost. And good old conservative Mike, had no problem working for Public TV. Hmm...
....Hartmann: one more DC Sludgemaze worshipper who couldn't support himself in private enterprise. Now he becomes a professional peddler of class consciousness/class hatred----a Progressive---there's a good living in it.
What a dunce---anybody who thinks Social Security is just fine is beyond help. The money collected from everybody's current paycheck is the only thing keeping the chain letter going. There is no trust fund, or fund of any kind.
Yeah, anyone in academics is a loser who couldn't make it in private enterprise. Let's just shut down all the schools and universities and quit subsidizing all those clueless "peddlers of class consciousness." No doubt the free market will still find a way to educate anyone in need of it. Hey, maybe all those right-wing talk show hosts could teach a class or two in their spare time!
@danning1 ....don't know where you got the "ANYONE in academics"........more like MANY, such as the INCOMPETENTS who got to keep their "jobs" when the Wisconsin Teacher of the Year was laid off due to money shortage. Academics' unions give them tenure and/or seniority to protect them from having to excell.
If you're in favor of that, good luck to you and your kids.......
@baldrad1 You could not be more wrong! The design behind Tenure is to keep those academics who are bringing more money into the school, because of their work as academics, than the school makes in tuition from their students- So they make way more than they take- I can tell that, you don't know shit about how a University is financed-
We the people? More and more people are looking at government as "them" and not "us" and most don't believe they are governing for "the people" as much as they are for their own interests and the interest of their fat cat donors.
people become wealthy by taking more than their share; bosses who get paid thousands of times more than the folks who actually produce the product; think of farmers as a prime example; who makes money off of food in our market economy? it has led to only 2 % of americans still farming; is this sustainable?
I find it very odd when I hear Americans say: "Governments can't run anything well, so let's hand the reins over to a private multi-billion dollar enterprise because they can." Here's another common flawed argument: "Evolution is garbage, therefore the Bible is true and God exists" or "Obama is crap so let's all vote Republican next time." These statements wouldn't make it past the first day of a university logics class.
@indoctus41 Governments can't run anything well? Let'd hand the reins over to a private multi-billion dollar enterprise? Sorry, but completely exaggerating the opposite party's (conservatives) opinions also wouldn't make it past the first day of a university logics class.
A free enterprise system generally tends towards monopolistic/oligopolistic arrangements. One company or a few companies that produce a particular good or provide some service over time come to dominate their particular market sector (predatory behaviors, producer-distributor relations The economic rationality expressed through the media of modern transnational economic theater does not function in the way that the pre-capitalist "farmer's market" suggested: times change, so do we
@bigollameo Agreed; I'm not saying the our system is perfect or even necessarily the best, but I would personally like to have the relative freedom the system allows. I think most people would agree that a communist and/or socialist arrangement, while certainly appealing and theoretically ideal, simply either do not work well or deny people certain freedoms with their money. Socialism, for example, is great in theory. But someone, somewhere, is losing their money for someone else. It's not...
I hear one side lobbing fact bomb after fact bomb, eloquently stating his case. I hear the other side going for applause lines with snark and strawman arguments. Michael Medved, please just go away and take the rest of the poisonous, misinforming right-wing radio clowns with you.
@yankobutt Many people believe America is great because good honorable citizens believe in respect, cooperation, generosity, compassion, empathy, supporting, understanding, truth, justice, compassion, courage, love, honor, equality, opportunity, and fairness. But, when soulless greedy arrogant Corporations take over, ALL our American principles go out the window and they'll tell you, their only obligation is to "make money"!
So when it comes to "your life" or "their money", your screwed!
Instead of preditory capitalism lets try cooperative capitalism, running America like a preditory business is an abject failure, lets run it like it should be, like a family
How about supporting not only the words of the constitution but the spirit as well. how about being Good Citizens and Good People.
By hoook or by crook they're taking us back to entail and primogeniture!
Look what's happend sinse the push for Privatization (corporatization)!
there are many idiots posting here, follow through with the postings, just because there are crooks out there non of us should have the oppotunity to advance our wealth. it is this sort of vitriol hatred for achievers that the liberals are using to overthrow the guiding light of the world. "our governemnt is we the people"-yeah motivate a bunch of pot heads, tommarrow we wake up with fewer rights and the liberal politicians line their pockets with all the money, like every dictator in history.
Medved (00:23-00:31): "Since when does more governmental involvement in anything lower the price of it?"
How about farm subsidies, Mike? And this is coming from a guy who believes that farm subsidies should be either phased out or at least down to what is absolutely necessary during the next 10-20 years. But they do certainly lower the cost of a lot of food and commodities. That part is inarguable. Imagine if all farm subsidies in the U.S. and Europe vanished tomorrow! (shudders)
@danning1 I think he was referring to regulations, minimum wages, nationalisation, high compliance costs, unions etc... which all increase production costs. Also subsidies are equally as bad as the government takes capital out of one sector of the economy and gives to another thus picking and choosing winners which is never a good way of allocating resources.
What about government destroying, oranges for example, to help out farmers and drive up costs?
Yeah, right Medved - Don't go after the "fruits" of anyone's "labor". Like Bernie Madoff and all his Ilk's fruits?! Or Bill McGuire and on, and on, and on?
Jefferson intended to say "Property" instead of happiness. But changed it because he was afraid that it would include slaves as property. That should have been pointed out on the conservative opening.
An alien invasion! Ha ha ha. Count me in! I will look for an alien when I turn 65 before money from the government. I'm 30. If your in your 20's, FORGET IT.
Medved is dead right, you have the right to fail. That still exists if government healthcare is in place. Unfortunates who have genetic diseases don't lose their life and well-being and so, therefore, it is impossible that people could fail for any other reason? Is that the only way people fail? Terrible logic. Terrible.
How can you persue happiness if you aren't well? How can you have liberty if you aren't well? "Since when does government involvement in anything lower the price of it?" Hmmm ever try buying a private freeway? Ever mail a letter at the post office? Look at the cost of a US soldier vs the cost of a Blackwater Mercinary! I think in EVERY instance it lowers the price.
How can we better keep the fruits of our own labor by paying more for health care than any other industrialized country!
Medved is ridiculous! "...The right to starve if you choose not to work?" What the hell is that? So all the milloins of people who lost their jobs during the last 8 years all at once "decided" to "choose" not to work? Rubbish! Medved makes absolutely no sense at all what so ever!
"The Social Security system is fine........" - Thom Hartmann
Really? Has he read his Social Security statement that just arrived in the mail? It states the following: "In 2016 we will begin paying more in benefits than we collect in taxes. Without changes, by 2037 the Social Security Trust Fund will be exhausted and there will be enough money to pay only about 76 cents for each dollar of scheduled benefits."
If you remove the cap on income taxed, you should also remove the cap on payments to a retired Gates. You want the cap on income removed, and dont propose removing the cap on payments out.
@WeedGreenPowerRanger Oh yeah, sure ! That is going to solve everything, right? No ! It is just going to put more money into the Social Security fund that the gov can pullout and use for other projects and replace with IOUs' like its been doing with SS. I would prefer to just opt out of Social Security and take that money and invest it the way I want to. I can do a better job managing my money than the gov can. I don't need to rely on the gov for my retirement ,unlike these pathetic liberals.
Another argument that's a fallacy, "don't trust your government, trust the market". The market controls the government, especially GE. The US stopped having a "free market" a long long time ago.
And that's almost exactly right - except gov't uses these companies to their example equally. It's called Corporatism, not Capitalism, which is where a lot of people get mixed up.
Also, notice how Thom, when hitting the insurance execs for their bonuses and salaries, fails to mention any number that says how many claims were denied or how much people had to pay out of their own pocket because of the denied claims. This is typical rhetoric that is not backed by any statistics or even empirical evidence.
Give me five minutes and I can find any number of law suits or complaints where people have been denied. People die every day because they can't afford healthcare. The thing you are missing is that it would be cheaper to have a single payer, Medicare for all program where we are all taxed at the get go. People are paying thousands a month with huge deductables, etc. Over 50% of all bankruptcies are due to medical bills and half of those had comprehensive insurance.
This right to life and right to health argument are on two completely different spectrums. First, right to life means no one can intentionally take that right from you, meaning you cannot be killed (without just cause, i.e. self defense). However, right to health is dependant on another person's ability to support your health issues regardless of how you've handled your health or manage it currently. Doctors aren't slitting throats when someone can't pay for insurance.
You can't have life without health. You are also attacking the idea of insurance, public or private, because that is what it is, a sharing of the risk. If you want to do something about the cost of public health, outlaw High Fructose Corn Syrup. Our crisis in health, like cancer is a shared one and is often the fault of large corporations and our history of allowing them to decide how we live, like the automobile instead of public transport, etc. Pollution and bad food are the cause of disease.
How did I attack insurance? I don't mind sharing risk, as long as the person who has higher risk pays higher premiums. So, you'd rather have the gov't force a good on us than let us choose a company freely?
And to your car example: so the evil car companies innovate and make cars less expensive, which allows everyone to afford and drive them by their own choice. Public transportation is 75% subsidized by taxes. Who is the thief here?
I really dislike the Demorat leftists, But the Republirat Phonycons take the cake. Phonycons like Medved are truly out of their minds. Medved is like the rest of the Phonycons, babysit the world, perpetual global war, pro immigration, soft on securing the borders, soft peddles the black problem (always blubbers about how horrible blacks had/have it), cuts down 3rd parties, cuts down Dr Ron Paul. Why bother to vote? Same old crap, Republirat or Demorat.
It is so unfair to let the Bill Gates of this world not to pay a fair percentage in FICA tax. He actually pays a lower percentage that his secretary does. Republicants never wanted SS and will always fight the effort of WE THE PEOPLE. Yes, the Democratic Party should start their own single payer system, then watch all the Republicans switch parties and sign up when they see how great it can work.
Hey duh, how can that be justification for obscene massing of wealth when others work just as hard and make much less. The point is that pay and bonuses are totally arbitrary and our tax system should not only prevent these obscene salaries, but should also provide an incentive to reinvest profits back into the economy. The last thirty years, we have allowed corps. to run our country into the ground so a handful of people can sit on mountains of wealth. Duh.....
Tom, the top 10% of earners in the country pay 95% of the taxes. They pay all the taxes. They pay ALL THE TAXES. How about taking a look at the elected officials you've entrusted that money to and ask them how they can be so incompetent as to take trillions of dollars and squander it on blackhole agencies. The rich pay enough, hold the gov't accountable.
The richest of us pay a lower percentage than their secretaries when they proffit more from the same infrastructure. Anything over 3.2 million should be taxed at 90%, with the option to invest in their own businesses or create an new one for a tax break. Also, we should close most of the 700 military bases from around the globe. Only 10% of the pentagon budget goes to protection of your borders. And yes we need to be accountable. Put Bush in jail for treason.
Why doesn't Thomm ever mention Madison's quote about a bill that would have given money to French refugees. "I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on the objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents." Also, if Thomm wants to lift the cap on Bill Gates' FICA tax, does he also want to pay Bill Gates a bigger portion? It's just another tax increase on the producer to pay the users.
When I was active duty, the single payer "socialist" health coverage I had took care of me, my wife, and my children quite well. After seeing the level of care that for-profit insurance companies provide (or, more accurately, don't provide), the government couldn't screw health care up enough for me to opt for Bill McGuire's system, if given the choice.
I don't want someone else's money, unless I'm working for it. If, however, you could assure me that you would not give my money to a multi-billion dollar corporation or some bank(s) that tanked because of their unsustainable business practices. If you could assure me of your unwaivering commitment to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States." - only then would I vote for you.
Agreed. When you were part of the military you were working for the government and deserved it. The debate is how to keep the government honest and how to keep private business honest. The role of government is to enforce the rule of law and keep business honest, but not to tell them how much to charge for services and goods.
How about the Democrat Party start their OWN health care for members only? Let them lead by example.
I'd like to add this: you don't tax people for being successful. You tax every human being equally in a reasonable way, NOT tax success, that contradicts free market economics and leads to overall DEPRESSION
What would happen with the fair tax is that consumers, as a whole, would keep the, lets say taxed 30 percent of their check, and would be able to spend on consumer goods or invest in capital. The result in both cases would be the ability for private business to grow and expand operations, and able to employ more people and pay their employees more. It would eliminate the need for the IRS (saving 50 billion a year) because there would be no more income tax, no capital gains tax, only sales tax.
It still gives a tax break to the wealthy, the spenders are the poor/middle class because they are the majority, the wealthy are a few percent. The so called fair tax burdens the poor/middle class while the wealthy with a disposible income make out like a bandit.
But the wealthy create wealth and jobs for the middle and lower class. You think their money just sits around in banks? No. They invest in capital which allows for the companies they invest in to grow and create new jobs. And best of all it stops the government from seizing money that isnt theirs and giving it to people who havent earned it. If a private citizen were to do what the government does everyday then they would be put in prison.
Well 85 percent of the population has a job so yes they are. The wealthy provide jobs for the most amount people. Have you ever worked for a poor person?
I'm a HUGE Michael Medved fan, listen to him daily, and wrote comments blasting the liberals in the first video, BUT, Michael is wrong in his last point here about social security and life expectancy according to the CIA factbook. BUT he is right that social security is bankrupt and that people who make more (work HARDER) should NOT pay more for OTHERS social security more than those people pay for their own. It's like, why should I pay for your IRA because I make more than you?
why do you think I'm a christian? taking a look at who I subscribe to on youtube might give you an idea. you don't have to believe in god in order to believe in economic theory
Most republicans are, well in name only anyways.Especially the wealthy ones. You see the wealthy republicans say jesus gave them wealth, but jesus commanded that the wealthy take care of the poor, and that its almost impossible for a rich man to enter heaven.
Yeah, I agree with you that there is no god, but because someone SAYS it came from God when it really came from Economics doesn't mean that the theory of Economics is invalid because they SAY it came from a fairy
i do believe in giving some of what god has blessed me with to the less fortunate , but the key is give not take, i give of my own heart and i dont want the goverment making me, also it says given a man a fish feed him for a day teach him to fish he will never be starved, giving people everything they want because they are poor wont solve anything, just look and the low cost public housing, when anything is free poeple abuse and dont take care of it,teach them to work and earn it is the solution
I agree, teach him to fish, but you must teach him to fish in a pond WITH FISH,not an empty pond. You could tech him to fish in an empty pond, but if that is the only pond and its empty, whats the point.
There is no need for lengthy "substance" in my comments. Hartmann does more than a fine job explaining the maddening follies of Medved and leaves me with no need to explain them myself.
Side-note: There are two great ironies in your comment.
My reply to you was not an ad hominem. It's actually an argument to point out when somebody has no substance. It's not a personal attack.
Furthermore, when you made one of your "epic win" comments, would you respond to what Medved's argument was to that? Is it the taxpayer's duty to pay to have someone's house rebuilt after a fire? Maybe you didn't catch his response. Hartmann didn't respond. So if you are going to declare an "epic win," maybe you should refute Michael's response.
First of all, your words, "just like every other liberal on youtube" imply that (since you used the word every) that liberals have no substance, or reasons, for thinking what they think and claiming what they claim. Verily your implying that my opinion must be wrong on account of my perspective. That's an ad hominem....
Punish Bill Gates for creating a product that everyone want's to buy? That guy, and his family donates million's to the world's cause's.. Isn't that free market enterprise? Beem me up!!
A good comedian reveals the truth(s). Artists help us see the world differently. The megaphones for the Corporatocracy and war machine R there to obfuscate the truth by framing the discussion within extremely narrow parameters, Steven Colbert was quoted as saying "Fox networks gives both sides of the story, the President's and the Vice President's." I willagree w/ MSNBC & Kieth Olbermann.
You're fucking hopeless, you know that? I feel sorry for your children. To think that their young, impressionable minds will be polluted by such an erroneous, vile, ill-founded, anti-American culture of victimhood...it's sad..
Of course you agree with those scum. Birds of a feather flock together and the blind often lead the blind. I expected nothing less from such a committed far-left ideologue. It makes sense you get your information from entertainers, because you don't know SHIT.
Of course U rely on the so-called Reich wing nut pundits without question because U must. Your whole world is based on what these guys tell you and U probably R biased because U work for the Health care industry. The US has the highest preventable death toll for a first world country, while paying three times as much--It's shit! I 'm no victim, I have control over my situation, the question is who controls U?
Healthcare industry? I bake bread for a living, you fucking moron. Also, you accuse me of selectively cherry-picking my information, yet yourself are guilty of just that when you suggest that we have the highest preventable death toll without also representing the fact that many of these deaths are NOT health-related.
OK I admit it. The Trilateral Commission controls me. In fact, me and some CFR buddies are going to the satan revival tonight where we'll sacrifice some kids for the NWO.
So you make bread, that's fine! I could use the "Your not qualified to be an authority on the subject" fallacy the Conservatives use, but I'd rather not. Anyone with access can become knowledgeable on any topic of interest.
The trilateral commission controls what kind of bread you make. Is it made with GMO's? i it laden with petro chemicals? Does the yeast come from the vaginas of their wives? interesting assumptions but cooking the books on statistics is the game of conservatives for the most part.
You question someone's parenting and call them anti-American in the same sentence?
That's not impressive, unless you're learning grammar in the 5th grade. It's actually disturbingly simple-minded,and arrogant, and, of course, shows zero class.
No I don't, but I like humor, you should try it. I go through quite a bit of info on a daily basis as listed and beyond. I even have some Conservatives on my list of readings & find myself agreeing with some of their views. I bet U never read anything from the so-called left.
I'm an avid reader of Camille Paglia, Christopher Hitchens and Alan Dershowitz. I read Salon, Slate, Gawker, The Nation, The Progressive and Harpers. Try again. I can't imagine anything any conservative ever wrote that you agreed with, since the sum of your knowledge is no more than a sleazy conspiracy theory about a NWO, 9/11 being an inside job, Bilderberg satanists running the world, a Jewish cabal staging proxy wars through America....I can read you idiots like a book.
We already HAVE govt healthcare programs like medicare and medicaid for losers like you who "pay taxes". Humanism is not the American way. You should relocate to England.
Do you really think that it is the goal of the WHO to parasitically "starve people to death"? Does that sound rational to you even for a moment? If these organizations killed off everyone, how would they make their money? You belong in an institution. It's clear that no amount of deprogramming could save your warped mind.
Furthermore, our American federal government is designed so that the tyranny of the masses shall not outweigh the needs of the individual. Minorities (in this case, those without health insurance) are not entitled to protection under the law. They, like ALL American citizens, are obligated to take responsibility for their lives.
Wrong again. Whether you agreed with W's policies or not (and I'm guessing you didn't), he never did anything illegal. All this nonsense about Bush and his war crimes and his lies and the patriot act, and all the other hysteria that the left ginned-up to defame him are ill-founded and absurd. If there was even a SHRED of legitimacy to these charges, the ACLU would be falling all over themselves to prosecute him. But even they know they have no case. None of those liberal lunatics have a case.
The prosecution of George W Bush for Murder is a compelling argument by Vince Bugliosi. I think he is right, W and regime R murderers and the case is far reaching. The best thing about all of these people I mention is that they R from planet Earth what fucking planet R u from? The evidence here on earth is overwhelming all you have to do is look for it. U R comfortable in that easy chair on planet Neoconningus. I'm still looking for facts. Thanks Tom Hartman 4 winning this debate!
If it's so compelling, why hasn't it gone to court? Oh yeah, because it's bullshit. Good luck on your fact-finding mission. A little advice - stay out of your far-left precincts, look beyond form and consider substance if you want to frame your argument within the confines of reality.
On planet earth you mean? I cannot help but hear the Reich wing everyday, it permeates the airwaves. As for the marginalized left, when they are heard they usually R right. The extremists to either side loses credibility for the not so extreme, wedge issues get in the way of real ones that really affect our lives.
You're talking about talk radio and Fox News. Yet liberal ideology dominates news organizations like ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Seattle Post-Intelligencer and most all other major American papers. There's NOTHING marginalized about left-wing presence in the media.
Also, how can you condemn liberal extremism when you have clearly bought into it wholeheartedly? All the columnists you frequently reference are FAR-left Democrats.
I don't condemn Liberal extremism, I listen to it periodically. I think the far left is a little safer than the war mongers, Double-Hich Authoritarians, Authoritarian followers and criminals on the far Right.
You just said that extremists on either side lose credibility with you, now you say that you periodically accept liberal extremism. Which is it? Also, that I'm a conservative Republican doesn't make me a follower, it makes me someone who values the role of the individual. Complete opposite from the real followers, the American left who embrace group-think.
You want to talk about criminals, look no further than the Democratic party. Republicans may be guilty of the occasional hypocrisy when they get busted with their mistresses, but you want to talk REAL criminals, try Chris Dodd, Charles Rangle, William Jefferson, Rod Blagojevich, Ted Kennedy, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Bill Richardson, Tim Geithner, Barney Frank, James McGreevey, Elliot Spitzer, John Murtha, Sandy Berger, Alcee Hastings, Marion Barry, Bill Campbell, Bobby Rush, Webster Hubbel...
Yes let's talk about the real criminals, the real incompetant fucks that should be put to sleep! The Bush Administration. They deserve to be prosecuted for their crimes against humanity. Interesting selection of people who pale in comparison tothe morons who fucked up this country. What planet R U from? RU feeling luckypierre78?
That's a pretty broad generalization. Can you name names and their specific crimes? Go review your Greg Palast propaganda before you reply, I'm sure he has a good answer for you that will just fly right in my face.
Incompetent? This is laughable. That gerrymandered Harvard elitist you put into office doesn't have a clue what he's doing. He's in so far over his head, it's embarrassing. To call his first eight months in office a train-wreck is an affront to trains wrecking. It's a DISASTER.
So luckypierre78, R U in any way part of the privatized Health care industry and is your motto "Your Health is our business, not our concern!"? Lilly Tomlin. Frankly, it is not a train wreck so much as it riddled by Blue Dog Dems, DLC members etc and of course the cry baby's in the Repiglican party. U only write in broad generalizations and Repiglicans undermine scientific inquiry.
So what you're saying is the only people who support the President's healthcare nationalization are far-left Democrats? Yes, that's true, I'm just surprised to hear you admit it.
The fact that the President's plan will create a financial disaster that will further bankrupt the country and send inflation skyrocketing means nothing to dried-up aging hippies because they've never made any money and don't really know what it's like to have their wealth abused by the remoras of society.
Bush lied to get us into the Iraq war. The motivation became quite blatant after PNAC's "Rebuilding Our Defenses" w/such quotes as "We need a new Pearl Harbor to initiate global Dominance" and the like. W and Fascist regime is responsible for many deaths, treason, Unitary executive power, torture etc! Everything they did was disasterous and it is an overwhelming task to fix the mess these dildos created! Chomsky said that the W administration is a combo of arrogance, hubris & incompetence!
The PNAC employed four people and operated on a budget of $400,000 a year. It was basically Bill Kristol and a fax machine. Also, the PH quote is false & mischaracterized. Under W we still had the executive, judicial and legislative branches of govt with their system of checks and balances, so no, there was never any fascist 'unitary exec power'. We 'tortured' exactly 3 people by pouring water on their heads. The neocon intellectuals who influenced W's policy made Chomsky look like Gomer Pyle.
BS! You got to be kidding me! Chomsky is one of the leading intellectuals in the world though I may not agree with everything he says and writes. What alternative microcosm R U from?
He is an intellectual who wins debates against nut case charlatans like Dershowitz. Finkelstein's take on Dershowitz is hilarious where it concerns intellectual honesty and proper use of source material.
Bush never lied. He relied on the intelligence provided by spy agencies from countries all over the world, including our own CIA, all of whom came to the same conclusion, that Saddam was amassing weapons, which he was. We also know this because he used WMD to kill 800,000 of his own people when he gassed the Kurds in the north. You know who else voted in favor of the invasion of Iraq? A whopping EIGHTY-ONE congressional Democrats. The only lies here are the ones you've been spoon-fed by idiots.
I guess U never Read the Downing Street minutes. There is tones of proof that he and regime were aware but sexed it up to get us into a war for resources. It's obvious. They changed their reason for the war many times.
Well, are there tones of proof, or is there actual proof? You can read almost anything in a way that supports your warped ideas. A war for resources! HA! How stupid can you be? Do you see us extracting any oil from over there? Our troops are withdrawing, dumbass. They have their own government and their own energy infrastructure, and we have nothing to do with it. It was never a war for their resources as the far-left has viciously characterized it.
The oilygarchy has a lot at stake in securing oil contracts as they did or nearly r done with achieving. Every single interest has to do w / energy w/ exception to the privatized mercenary militias that they hired also of which are publicly subsidized private profit corporation sucking tax payers money w/ open-ended contracts. The largest embassy in the world is in Bagdad. Who do you think you R kidding? They're not withdrawing entirely!
Even lunatics R right occasionally. I have serious problems with La Rouche frankly, his idea regarding nuclear power scare me. I do not like the fact that he has a La Rouche youth group, even if they can sing Bach fugues quite well.
Hey idiot look to the Codex Alimentarius. Sickness is profitable. It appears that Fritz Der Meer and his friends including Prescott Bush were not humanists either. De-programming me? I'm still learning about all of these criminals U taught as great men!
Noble men are rarely criminals. Has it ever occurred to you that throughout history, all over the world, totalitarian regimes tightened their grip of power by...guaranteeing public healthcare? Again, if the govt controls your well-being, they ultimately control YOU! If, as you've said, a person is unable to pursue happiness because they're ill, then under a single-payer system the govt is the one who decides if that changes! It's not about your health, it's about centralizing govt POWER!
Privatized corporations R not noble at all they R predators driving an unsustainable economy into the ground. The rift between the rich and poor in the US is outrageous and they do poor quality work. public Health care alone would not harm this country it would benefit it and the costs w preventitive care would be beneficial.
Capitalism is always sustainable. Left-wing collectivism has been a global failure throughout history. The only system that has ever empowered the individual and lifted the masses out of extreme poverty is a free-market system. The rich pay all the taxes in America, funding the government who in turn fund the poor. Elementary economics, no emotion, just facts. Government healthcare is something we can't afford. We're already bankrupt. Nationalization would turn a disaster into a catastrophe.
Again, you're wrong. Supply, in most cases, is limitless. Those trillions of barrels of oil aren't doing us much good in the ground. Loggers always replant trees when they deforest an area. Water is the world's most abundant resource. Animals and crops are raised and farmed in cyclical perpetuity to meet the goals of consumerism and the needs of people.
Police and fire departments are fine. The government's primary rightful role is to protect the people. The police are part of our justice system and the fire department is an extension of civil protection. Public schools across this country SUCK and you know it. We dump money endlessly into schools and they still produce seniors who can't spell, name a single supreme court justice, or tie their shoes. This month the US govt shut down 3500 post offices. Not working so well, huh?
Look to Dennis Kucinich sets Dr David Gratzer straight. Facts R facts no matter how much the Health care industry tries to obfuscate it. Also Robert Greenwalds recent video on the Health care scam.
"The government's primary rightful role is to protect the people." U R right Health care is supposed to protect the people not act as a parasitic organism sucking people out of their homes, lives etc. for the sake of the bottom line.
You're just making shit up as you go along again. You quoted me then mischaracterized exactly what I had said. The GOVERNMENT'S role is to protect us through the rule of law and national defense. YOUR role is to care for yourself and pay your bills. Your home, your health, neither of those things are rights or entitlements owed by the government. Yours is a mind corrupted by years of public education that programmed you to believe that the govt's role is to take care of you from cradle to grave.
Health care is a human right not a privilege. Look to Kucinich kicking the tar out of your argument. "Dennis Kucinich sets Dr David Gratzer straight." If there is an epidemic our tax dollars go to the right place provided that it goes through the ri

Yeah, anyone in academics is a loser who couldn't make it in private enterprise. Let's just shut down all the schools and universities and quit subsidizing all those clueless "peddlers of class consciousness." No doubt the free market will still find a way to educate anyone in need of it. Hey, maybe all those right-wing talk show hosts could teach a class or two in their spare time!
danning1 11 months ago
@danning1 ....don't know where you got the "ANYONE in academics"........more like MANY, such as the INCOMPETENTS who got to keep their "jobs" when the Wisconsin Teacher of the Year was laid off due to money shortage. Academics' unions give them tenure and/or seniority to protect them from having to excell.
If you're in favor of that, good luck to you and your kids.......
baldrad1 11 months ago
@baldrad1 You could not be more wrong! The design behind Tenure is to keep those academics who are bringing more money into the school, because of their work as academics, than the school makes in tuition from their students- So they make way more than they take- I can tell that, you don't know shit about how a University is financed-

people become wealthy by taking more than their share; bosses who get paid thousands of times more than the folks who actually produce the product; think of farmers as a prime example; who makes money off of food in our market economy? it has led to only 2 % of americans still farming; is this sustainable?

I find it very odd when I hear Americans say: "Governments can't run anything well, so let's hand the reins over to a private multi-billion dollar enterprise because they can." Here's another common flawed argument: "Evolution is garbage, therefore the Bible is true and God exists" or "Obama is crap so let's all vote Republican next time." These statements wouldn't make it past the first day of a university logics class.
indoctus41 1 year ago 3

@millionand3 They can run somethings well, but theirs a reason we're a free enterprise system. Competition works better for us than a monopoly.
m1ndfr34k117 11 months ago
@m1ndfr34k117
A free enterprise system generally tends towards monopolistic/oligopolistic arrangements. One company or a few companies that produce a particular good or provide some service over time come to dominate their particular market sector (predatory behaviors, producer-distributor relations The economic rationality expressed through the media of modern transnational economic theater does not function in the way that the pre-capitalist "farmer's market" suggested: times change, so do we
bigollameo 8 months ago
@bigollameo Agreed; I'm not saying the our system is perfect or even necessarily the best, but I would personally like to have the relative freedom the system allows. I think most people would agree that a communist and/or socialist arrangement, while certainly appealing and theoretically ideal, simply either do not work well or deny people certain freedoms with their money. Socialism, for example, is great in theory. But someone, somewhere, is losing their money for someone else. It's not...

How about farm subsidies, Mike? But they do certainly lower the cost of a lot of food and commodities. That part is inarguable. Imagine if all farm subsidies in the U.S. and Europe vanished tomorrow! (shudders)
danning1 1 year ago
@danning1 I think he was referring to regulations, minimum wages, nationalisation, high compliance costs, unions etc... which all increase production costs. Also subsidies are equally as bad as the government takes capital out of one sector of the economy and gives to another thus picking and choosing winners which is never a good way of allocating resources.
What about government destroying, oranges for example, to help out farmers and drive up costs?

schmij8 2 years ago
Also, notice how Thom, when hitting the insurance execs for their bonuses and salaries, fails to mention any number that says how many claims were denied or how much people had to pay out of their own pocket because of the denied claims. This is typical rhetoric that is not backed by any statistics or even empirical evidence.
schmij8 2 years ago
Give me five minutes and I can find any number of law suits or complaints where people have been denied. People die every day because they can't afford healthcare. The thing you are missing is that it would be cheaper to have a single payer, Medicare for all program where we are all taxed at the get go. People are paying thousands a month with huge deductables, etc. Over 50% of all bankruptcies are due to medical bills and half of those had comprehensive insurance.
tombeardman 2 years ago
You've had five minutes. Where are they? Post the links on your reply.
schmij8 2 years ago
This right to life and right to health argument are on two completely different spectrums. First, right to life means no one can intentionally take that right from you, meaning you cannot be killed (without just cause, i.e. self defense). However, right to health is dependant on another person's ability to support your health issues regardless of how you've handled your health or manage it currently. Doctors aren't slitting throats when someone can't pay for insurance.
schmij8 2 years ago
You can't have life without health. You are also attacking the idea of insurance, public or private, because that is what it is, a sharing of the risk. If you want to do something about the cost of public health, outlaw High Fructose Corn Syrup. Our crisis in health, like cancer is a shared one and is often the fault of large corporations and our history of allowing them to decide how we live, like the automobile instead of public transport, etc. Pollution and bad food are the cause of disease.
tombeardman 2 years ago
How did I attack insurance? I don't mind sharing risk, as long as the person who has higher risk pays higher premiums. So, you'd rather have the gov't force a good on us than let us choose a company freely?
And to your car example: so the evil car companies innovate and make cars less expensive, which allows everyone to afford and drive them by their own choice. Public transportation is 75% subsidized by taxes. Who is the thief here?

Hey duh, how can that be justification for obscene massing of wealth when others work just as hard and make much less. The point is that pay and bonuses are totally arbitrary and our tax system should not only prevent these obscene salaries, but should also provide an incentive to reinvest profits back into the economy. The last thirty years, we have allowed corps. to run our country into the ground so a handful of people can sit on mountains of wealth. Duh.....
tombeardman 2 years ago
Tom, the top 10% of earners in the country pay 95% of the taxes. They pay all the taxes. They pay ALL THE TAXES. How about taking a look at the elected officials you've entrusted that money to and ask them how they can be so incompetent as to take trillions of dollars and squander it on blackhole agencies. The rich pay enough, hold the gov't accountable.
schmij8 2 years ago
The richest of us pay a lower percentage than their secretaries when they proffit more from the same infrastructure. Anything over 3.2 million should be taxed at 90%, with the option to invest in their own businesses or create an new one for a tax break. Also, we should close most of the 700 military bases from around the globe. Only 10% of the pentagon budget goes to protection of your borders. And yes we need to be accountable. Put Bush in jail for treason.

Fair tax...are you familiar with it?
Icarusdecending82 2 years ago
yes the so called fair tax burdens the poor and lower middle class. Its just another tax cut for the wealthy.
MrTabby5000 2 years ago
What would happen with the fair tax is that consumers, as a whole, would keep the, lets say taxed 30 percent of their check, and would be able to spend on consumer goods or invest in capital. The result in both cases would be the ability for private business to grow and expand operations, and able to employ more people and pay their employees more. It would eliminate the need for the IRS (saving 50 billion a year) because there would be no more income tax, no capital gains tax, only sales tax.
Icarusdecending82 2 years ago
It still gives a tax break to the wealthy, the spenders are the poor/middle class because they are the majority, the wealthy are a few percent. The so called fair tax burdens the poor/middle class while the wealthy with a disposible income make out like a bandit.
MrTabby5000 2 years ago
But the wealthy create wealth and jobs for the middle and lower class. You think their money just sits around in banks? No. They invest in capital which allows for the companies they invest in to grow and create new jobs. And best of all it stops the government from seizing money that isnt theirs and giving it to people who havent earned it. If a private citizen were to do what the government does everyday then they would be put in prison.

My reply to you was not an ad hominem. It's actually an argument to point out when somebody has no substance. It's not a personal attack.

LuckyPierre78 2 years ago

LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
Of course U rely on the so-called Reich wing nut pundits without question because U must. Your whole world is based on what these guys tell you and U probably R biased because U work for the Health care industry. The US has the highest preventable death toll for a first world country, while paying three times as much--It's shit! I 'm no victim, I have control over my situation, the question is who controls U?
tomestubbs 2 years ago
Healthcare industry? I bake bread for a living, you fucking moron. Also, you accuse me of selectively cherry-picking my information, yet yourself are guilty of just that when you suggest that we have the highest preventable death toll without also representing the fact that many of these deaths are NOT health-related.
OK I admit it. The Trilateral Commission controls me. In fact, me and some CFR buddies are going to the satan revival tonight where we'll sacrifice some kids for the NWO.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
So you make bread, that's fine! I could use the "Your not qualified to be an authority on the subject" fallacy the Conservatives use, but I'd rather not. Anyone with access can become knowledgeable on any topic of interest.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
The trilateral commission controls what kind of bread you make. Is it made with GMO's? i it laden with petro chemicals? Does the yeast come from the vaginas of their wives? interesting assumptions but cooking the books on statistics is the game of conservatives for the most part.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
You question someone's parenting and call them anti-American in the same sentence?
That's not impressive, unless you're learning grammar in the 5th grade. It's actually disturbingly simple-minded,and arrogant, and, of course, shows zero class.
IndianKBlue 2 years ago
Let me tell you, it pains me greatly to know that I've failed to impress you with my arrogance, simple-mindedness and low class.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
No I don't, but I like humor, you should try it. I go through quite a bit of info on a daily basis as listed and beyond. I even have some Conservatives on my list of readings & find myself agreeing with some of their views. I bet U never read anything from the so-called left.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
I'm an avid reader of Camille Paglia, Christopher Hitchens and Alan Dershowitz. I read Salon, Slate, Gawker, The Nation, The Progressive and Harpers. Try again. I can't imagine anything any conservative ever wrote that you agreed with, since the sum of your knowledge is no more than a sleazy conspiracy theory about a NWO, 9/11 being an inside job, Bilderberg satanists running the world, a Jewish cabal staging proxy wars through America....I can read you idiots like a book.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
We already HAVE govt healthcare programs like medicare and medicaid for losers like you who "pay taxes". Humanism is not the American way. You should relocate to England.
Do you really think that it is the goal of the WHO to parasitically "starve people to death"? Does that sound rational to you even for a moment? If these organizations killed off everyone, how would they make their money? You belong in an institution. It's clear that no amount of deprogramming could save your warped mind.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
Furthermore, our American federal government is designed so that the tyranny of the masses shall not outweigh the needs of the individual. Minorities (in this case, those without health insurance) are not entitled to protection under the law. They, like ALL American citizens, are obligated to take responsibility for their lives.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
Certainly not with the executive totalitarian powers of the W regime! Total imbalance of power during that time.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
Wrong again. Whether you agreed with W's policies or not (and I'm guessing you didn't), he never did anything illegal. All this nonsense about Bush and his war crimes and his lies and the patriot act, and all the other hysteria that the left ginned-up to defame him are ill-founded and absurd. If there was even a SHRED of legitimacy to these charges, the ACLU would be falling all over themselves to prosecute him. But even they know they have no case. None of those liberal lunatics have a case.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
The prosecution of George W Bush for Murder is a compelling argument by Vince Bugliosi. I think he is right, W and regime R murderers and the case is far reaching. The best thing about all of these people I mention is that they R from planet Earth what fucking planet R u from? The evidence here on earth is overwhelming all you have to do is look for it. U R comfortable in that easy chair on planet Neoconningus. I'm still looking for facts. Thanks Tom Hartman 4 winning this debate!
tomestubbs 2 years ago
If it's so compelling, why hasn't it gone to court? Oh yeah, because it's bullshit. Good luck on your fact-finding mission. A little advice - stay out of your far-left precincts, look beyond form and consider substance if you want to frame your argument within the confines of reality.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
On planet earth you mean? I cannot help but hear the Reich wing everyday, it permeates the airwaves. As for the marginalized left, when they are heard they usually R right. The extremists to either side loses credibility for the not so extreme, wedge issues get in the way of real ones that really affect our lives.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
You're talking about talk radio and Fox News. Yet liberal ideology dominates news organizations like ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Seattle Post-Intelligencer and most all other major American papers. There's NOTHING marginalized about left-wing presence in the media.
Also, how can you condemn liberal extremism when you have clearly bought into it wholeheartedly? All the columnists you frequently reference are FAR-left Democrats.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
I don't condemn Liberal extremism, I listen to it periodically. I think the far left is a little safer than the war mongers, Double-Hich Authoritarians, Authoritarian followers and criminals on the far Right.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
You just said that extremists on either side lose credibility with you, now you say that you periodically accept liberal extremism. Which is it? Also, that I'm a conservative Republican doesn't make me a follower, it makes me someone who values the role of the individual. Complete opposite from the real followers, the American left who embrace group-think.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
Yes let's talk about the real criminals, the real incompetant fucks that should be put to sleep! The Bush Administration. They deserve to be prosecuted for their crimes against humanity. Interesting selection of people who pale in comparison tothe morons who fucked up this country. What planet R U from? RU feeling luckypierre78?
tomestubbs 2 years ago
That's a pretty broad generalization. Can you name names and their specific crimes? Go review your Greg Palast propaganda before you reply, I'm sure he has a good answer for you that will just fly right in my face.
Incompetent? This is laughable. That gerrymandered Harvard elitist you put into office doesn't have a clue what he's doing. He's in so far over his head, it's embarrassing. To call his first eight months in office a train-wreck is an affront to trains wrecking. It's a DISASTER.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
So luckypierre78, R U in any way part of the privatized Health care industry and is your motto "Your Health is our business, not our concern!"? Lilly Tomlin. Frankly, it is not a train wreck so much as it riddled by Blue Dog Dems, DLC members etc and of course the cry baby's in the Repiglican party. U only write in broad generalizations and Repiglicans undermine scientific inquiry.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
So what you're saying is the only people who support the President's healthcare nationalization are far-left Democrats? Yes, that's true, I'm just surprised to hear you admit it.
The fact that the President's plan will create a financial disaster that will further bankrupt the country and send inflation skyrocketing means nothing to dried-up aging hippies because they've never made any money and don't really know what it's like to have their wealth abused by the remoras of society.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
Bush lied to get us into the Iraq war. The motivation became quite blatant after PNAC's "Rebuilding Our Defenses" w/such quotes as "We need a new Pearl Harbor to initiate global Dominance" and the like. W and Fascist regime is responsible for many deaths, treason, Unitary executive power, torture etc! Everything they did was disasterous and it is an overwhelming task to fix the mess these dildos created! Chomsky said that the W administration is a combo of arrogance, hubris & incompetence!
tomestubbs 2 years ago
The PNAC employed four people and operated on a budget of $400,000 a year. It was basically Bill Kristol and a fax machine. Also, the PH quote is false & mischaracterized. Under W we still had the executive, judicial and legislative branches of govt with their system of checks and balances, so no, there was never any fascist 'unitary exec power'. We 'tortured' exactly 3 people by pouring water on their heads. The neocon intellectuals who influenced W's policy made Chomsky look like Gomer Pyle.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
BS! You got to be kidding me! Chomsky is one of the leading intellectuals in the world though I may not agree with everything he says and writes. What alternative microcosm R U from?
tomestubbs 2 years ago
He's a doddering old partisan fool.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
He is an intellectual who wins debates against nut case charlatans like Dershowitz. Finkelstein's take on Dershowitz is hilarious where it concerns intellectual honesty and proper use of source material.
tomestubbs 2 years ago 2
Bush never lied. He relied on the intelligence provided by spy agencies from countries all over the world, including our own CIA, all of whom came to the same conclusion, that Saddam was amassing weapons, which he was. We also know this because he used WMD to kill 800,000 of his own people when he gassed the Kurds in the north. You know who else voted in favor of the invasion of Iraq? A whopping EIGHTY-ONE congressional Democrats. The only lies here are the ones you've been spoon-fed by idiots.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
I guess U never Read the Downing Street minutes. There is tones of proof that he and regime were aware but sexed it up to get us into a war for resources. It's obvious. They changed their reason for the war many times.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
Well, are there tones of proof, or is there actual proof? You can read almost anything in a way that supports your warped ideas. A war for resources! HA! How stupid can you be? Do you see us extracting any oil from over there? Our troops are withdrawing, dumbass. They have their own government and their own energy infrastructure, and we have nothing to do with it. It was never a war for their resources as the far-left has viciously characterized it.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
The oilygarchy has a lot at stake in securing oil contracts as they did or nearly r done with achieving. Every single interest has to do w / energy w/ exception to the privatized mercenary militias that they hired also of which are publicly subsidized private profit corporation sucking tax payers money w/ open-ended contracts. The largest embassy in the world is in Bagdad. Who do you think you R kidding? They're not withdrawing entirely!
tomestubbs 2 years ago
More ranting from a mentally unbalanced conspiratorial loon. You're a LaRouche democrat, aren't you?
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
Even lunatics R right occasionally. I have serious problems with La Rouche frankly, his idea regarding nuclear power scare me. I do not like the fact that he has a La Rouche youth group, even if they can sing Bach fugues quite well.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
Hey idiot look to the Codex Alimentarius. Sickness is profitable. It appears that Fritz Der Meer and his friends including Prescott Bush were not humanists either. De-programming me? I'm still learning about all of these criminals U taught as great men!
tomestubbs 2 years ago
Noble men are rarely criminals. Has it ever occurred to you that throughout history, all over the world, totalitarian regimes tightened their grip of power by...guaranteeing public healthcare? Again, if the govt controls your well-being, they ultimately control YOU! If, as you've said, a person is unable to pursue happiness because they're ill, then under a single-payer system the govt is the one who decides if that changes! It's not about your health, it's about centralizing govt POWER!
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
Privatized corporations R not noble at all they R predators driving an unsustainable economy into the ground. The rift between the rich and poor in the US is outrageous and they do poor quality work. public Health care alone would not harm this country it would benefit it and the costs w preventitive care would be beneficial.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
Capitalism is always sustainable. Left-wing collectivism has been a global failure throughout history. The only system that has ever empowered the individual and lifted the masses out of extreme poverty is a free-market system. The rich pay all the taxes in America, funding the government who in turn fund the poor. Elementary economics, no emotion, just facts. Government healthcare is something we can't afford. We're already bankrupt. Nationalization would turn a disaster into a catastrophe.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
Capitalism is based on Supply and demand. Demand can be limitless and exploit resources to death, whereas resources do run out and thus limited.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
Again, you're wrong. Supply, in most cases, is limitless. Those trillions of barrels of oil aren't doing us much good in the ground. Loggers always replant trees when they deforest an area. Water is the world's most abundant resource. Animals and crops are raised and farmed in cyclical perpetuity to meet the goals of consumerism and the needs of people.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
I disagree! It's not that simple!
tomestubbs 2 years ago
Lilly Tomlin pointed it out in her skit, "Your health care is our business, not our concern." I really think you lack a sense of reality.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
Police and fire departments are fine. The government's primary rightful role is to protect the people. The police are part of our justice system and the fire department is an extension of civil protection. Public schools across this country SUCK and you know it. We dump money endlessly into schools and they still produce seniors who can't spell, name a single supreme court justice, or tie their shoes. This month the US govt shut down 3500 post offices. Not working so well, huh?
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
Sorry the12nightmare ismy son's youtube he forgot to log off and I answered questions under his name mistakenly.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
Look to Dennis Kucinich sets Dr David Gratzer straight. Facts R facts no matter how much the Health care industry tries to obfuscate it. Also Robert Greenwalds recent video on the Health care scam.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
"The government's primary rightful role is to protect the people." U R right Health care is supposed to protect the people not act as a parasitic organism sucking people out of their homes, lives etc. for the sake of the bottom line.
tomestubbs 2 years ago
You're just making shit up as you go along again. You quoted me then mischaracterized exactly what I had said. The GOVERNMENT'S role is to protect us through the rule of law and national defense. YOUR role is to care for yourself and pay your bills. Your home, your health, neither of those things are rights or entitlements owed by the government. Yours is a mind corrupted by years of public education that programmed you to believe that the govt's role is to take care of you from cradle to grave.
LuckyPierre78 2 years ago
Health care is a human right not a privilege. Look to Kucinich kicking the tar out of your argument. "Dennis Kucinich sets Dr David Gratzer straight." If there is an epidemic our tax dollars go to the right place provided that it goes through the ri
