This is only the last episode of Headmasters, which is NOT part of the U.S. Continuity, so this being the last G1 episode is flawed! VERY FLAWED! The Japanese continuity continued with Super God Masterforce and ended with Operation Combination in 1992, that's when it ended in Japan. The U.S. Cartoon ended with The Rebirth. These are two completily different continuities of which fans should look up, seriously you'll learn something by looking it up.

The G-1 series ends with Headmasters as far as I can see because: Cybertron explodes, Optimus dies (AGAIN, just let him live in peace!!!), Rodimus takes off to find a new homeworld, and Galvatron dies as well, after these events, most of the characters/places I knew/liked from US G-1 were gone, so to me it ended with this series (the Super God Masterforce show was so SHITTY, trust me watch ROBOTECH if you wanna see a good show about human piloted transforming robots :D)

There is no G1 after season4, and the Japanese version of season4, "headmasters", does not fit well with the previous 3, and feels like and odd anime show "based on" transformers. Everything that follows is more of the same anime crap. Headmasters sounds like the name of a gay biker gang.

I could be wrong but I thought that G1 (generation 1) referred to the origanal 1980s American comic and animated series which spanned four seasons. Anything after that does not count as G1. Even characters that were in the US version but made the cross over to the Japanese productions don't count. At least that's what I thought.

G1 ends with Transformers Zone with Dai Atlas as the last G1 Autobots Supreme Commander. the problem with this G1 issue is the rebirth episodes and the Americans who decided not to continue it after rebirth because of the declining toy sales. Most transformers fans outside the US during 90's saw zone and concluded G1 ends there.
