Mark Bagley knows how to draw spider-man, all the characters just look perfect... Immonen makes some characters skinny and ugly and others rediculously hench and ugly.
Nobody can draw spiderman like Mark Bagley. His experience shows in the way he uses black to define muscle, you don't see that with Staurt Immomen's, not to say that he's bad, its just that no one could replace Mark Bagley.

i dont know why it just looks like the perfect spider-man. dimensions are great he's muscular but not big, slim but not skinny. bagely in that pic created what i vision spider-man too really look like

Stuart Immonen is the best artist at Marvel comics, hands down. He's the best artist to ever work in the Ultimates line. His acting, storytelling, composition, lighting, and action are peerless. The only thing good about Bagley is that he works very very fast. It shows. But you have to respect someone that prompt. Immonen's almost as fast, and a million times better.

I actually really like Immonen, he has great story telling techniques, and his pages have a cool sense of dinamism. But the styles are too different to say "hey, this guy is better!"
My opinion: Ultimate Spider-Man isn't Ultimate Spider-Man without Mark Bagley. If you say "Ultimate" I see Bagley's artwork in my head. I thought his successor would be at least a good one, but Immonen's style is awful. Peter Parker always looks like a girl. Mark Bagley is one of my favourite artists.

i guess i like how immonen uses those heavy shadows but i don't agree with you about his style being cartoony. and for me i think his characters are flow better from panel to panel...not that bagley does not have a flow. do u read anything with frank quitely art? notice how quitely draws the characters? i'm talkin about something in that sense, i just wish i could put it in better words...(sorry for ramblin on i do that some times...)

Immonen makes the art look like it belongs on a kid's cartoon show. Bagley introduced a comic book type art, not at all cartooney.

I really love Mark Bagley's art. In my opinion when Stuart Immonen became the new artist for USM, it kinda ruined the series for me.

Mark Bagley is better by a mile. Immonen is way too cartoony for me. Immonen does have good fight sequences but it took me too long to get used to the way he drew. When i think Ultimate Spider-Man i think Mark Bagley.

Immonen's characters are much more slender and less muscular than these of Bagley. Usually I like Bagley better but not at all pictures.
