I'm not sure if my post worked or not, so I'll post again. I don't like the song choice. If you listen to the lyrics it's about a guy wanting s*x from a woman.. Not exactly something to be paired with power rangers. The original Daft Punk song would have fit better I think.

Blame it on Saban and their idea of trying to get rid of the franchise behind Beetle Borgs and Power Rangers. I forget all the details behind it, but Saban was selling their ideas out -- or something like that -- to Disney, I believe. After all Wild Force was the last season to be presented by Saban. Now, Power Rangers is owned by Disney.
This is a tribute episode, so people can argue both sides of whether or not a given red ranger has their powers or not. It can be looked at as a stand-alone episode, but then you can also say it has some correlation to the series. That depends on your perspective.
Take a look at 'True Blue to the Rescue' from the in Space season. I believe that episode reveals some truth about TJ gaining his red ranger powers back.

And the seasons to follow (as many could argue) just haven't quite lived up to the same standards of Saban's rep with PR.

The only problem with MMPR: The Movie was that it didn't really correlate with the series. It was a stand alone, versus the Turbo Movie which was released a few years later.

My memory is a little rusty on those seasons, but I do believe the putties with the 'Z' on them are the ones you're thinking about. If any of the rangers hit the 'Z' on their chest they would be destroyed. That was when Lord Zedd came around and gave the putties an upgrade. It was different when it was just Rita.

I could probably see your reasons behind that, though. I respect that. And yeah that's how you spell 'Andros'.
To me, Tommy stands out more as 'the best' just because of all he had to go through as a ranger from beginning to end.
