  • sounds like...witchfynde except i like better

  • Theres Only One Thing to Say .. Metallica Rulezzzzzzzzz !!!!!!!!

  • Cracked brought me here !!! I have a new view of Metallica now...

  • this is the song which inspired James Hetfield to write the clean riff of Welcome Home(sanitarium) !

  • @sashoronaldo I would say inspired to write, i would say plagiarized and labeled as his own

  • Ah, Cracked.com. How I love you.

  • Now watch 'Helena' by Misfits, and then you'll think: Welcome Home?? Yeah right...

  • Can't believe this band thought they could get away with copying Metallica. That's why they'll never get anywhere, and why Metallica is the biggest metal band ever. True original talent wins every time.

  • @BigAlbinoDonky right... except James Hetfield confirmed in an interview that they took the song from "A band that shall remain anonymous." That being said, I am glad Metallica stole it, I prefer Sanitarium. The theft doesn't really bother me especially when listen to Bob Dylan's All Along the Watchtower, but its a true Metallica move to give no credit for it.

  • @VonPerouski and Hetfeild did admit to it, does that mean its not a "true" Metallica move? Ya they shouldnt of gone after napster but it was mainly Lars bitching and crying in the "name" of Metallica.

  • @BigAlbinoDonky : Hey dude, Hetfield did actually give credit to ripping the riff for there verse of sanitarium to the band bleak house. So I would look something up before you make an opinion. That goes for all of ya. Unless yall like making uneducated decisions. lol.

  • @lyinslanted saying you give credit to "A band that shall remain anonymous" is not giving them proper credit. Funny, Metallica (mainly Lars) bitched about Napster, but yet they pretty much jacked other bands shit(just like Zepplin does) and made millions. Enjoy your shitty Lou Reed/Metallica CD that just came out. Its probably the worse thing to happen to the world since the Holocaust.

  • @napalmman420 since holocaust? no, its holocaust, load, reload then lulu

    then the next metallica record.

  • i did a cover of this song.. you guys hsould check it out.

  • hmmm....Well,THIS is how i`ve imagined a combination of Sanitarium and Stairway to haven

  • This is some of the best NWOBHM I've heard. I don't even care about Metallica while listening to this.

  • SAAANITAAARIUUUUMMMM!

  • The cool thing about mettallica ripping off this song, is that I can hear the same riff used differently to great effect in two great songs.

Even if sanatarium is ripped off.

  • @Invisifly2 It's not so much ripped off, Sanitarium is to songs morphed into one using Rainbow Warriors Verse sections and Rush's Tom sawyers verse being used at the end of sanitarium

  • I came here to listen to the song resemblance, but instead ended up listening to a whole bunch of Bleak House songs. SO. GOOD.

  • this song is awesome

are the lyrics about enviromental protection? :D

  • I love this song so much. I also am here because of Cracked. Thank you.

  • Can you all shut up about Metallica? No-one cars about them, let's just ramble on about how amazing this song is.

  • @DeathToAllMagoots Actually I fucking really care about Metallica

  • @DeathToAllMagoots im pretty sure everybody here cares about metallica, so suck a dick

  • Could you please post a link to this song??

  • @p3hm4w I added a new link in the description. Hope they did not delete this soon.

  • funny metalica hates p2p file sharing when they rip off so many songs themselves.

  • Metallica ripped the riff BUT they made it much better by changing the finish - that last chord metallica plays just gets me every time.

  • as long as the rip offs better than the original it's all good

  • Sounds like sanitarium & im 18 been combined in to one song

  • This rocks. This rocks. This rocks. :D I'd never heard of this band before the Cracked article and I bet I'm not the only one. Strange way to discover an awesome song but who cares?

  • @darkbatMori How come everything everyone else learns from Cracked, I learn from TV Tropes?

  • LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!!!! :D

    What..? Oh, wrong song...

  • i new the group from years ago

when i followed clentelle sadley rik taylor died but hey i can stil listen to him and bleak house and it brings it all back you lot where so cool

  • And let's not forget that the "Fear of living on..." riff is stolen Rush's "Tom Sawyer," so, all in all, Sanitarium is a pretty damn unoriginal song.

  • in my opinion metallica have actually ripped off some riffs in their carreer..many bands do so though..the only reason people bash metallica that much is because their fans believe they're like the best band ever..

  • great song

  • As much as i like Metallica, im pretty sure Mettlica stole/copy this.

Way to be original Mettallica good job.

  • @Nhia89 actually hetfield himself said that he lifted a riff from sanitarium from a certain metal band. most thought about metal church's watch the children pray, but that was written after sanitarium.

  • This is pretty baddass.

  • this song is fucking beautiful

  • Hetfield said he took the riff from this song for sanitarium

  • riff is similar to metallica but who cares, the song sucks. sanitarium is a classic.

  • maybe they did. but if you think about the amount of bands that came out of this era, and the amount of songs per band, its inevitable that some will sound similar. i know it sounds a little to close to put down to coincidence, but its not like metallica arent still great songwriters and artists

  • It's funny, if Metallica really did rip this song off they did a poor job because this one is way better.

  • metallica stole 3 or 4 riffs in their career overall, it's no big deal. every band does it in some way. who cares.

  • @JustWannaFeelGood

Agreed, every band sooner or later is gonna have to steal riffs and licks and such lol

  • Saaaaaaaanitarium ! Oups...

  • i do never get tired ot hear this song

  • I love how it shares three power chords with Sanitarium and everybody jizzes their pants and says that Metallica stole it, I mean for god's sake power chords are very common and it just so happened that 2 bands picked out 3 power chords in the same order. Jesus fucking christ people.

  • well , if metallica copied them, it's juste four note i mean this : 0 4 2

    0

Otherwise, the rest of the song is totally different !

  • its a fucking common chord every one calm the fuck down god!!

  • Wow, I feel like I always knew that mainstream bands ALWAYS steal stuff from others... Life isn't fair. And usually we listen to the stealing pricks than the ones that should be given the credit for the real thing! I like Metallica. But, shame on all of these fools like Led Zep, Metallica and others, that do shit like this...

  • Epic

  • 9/11 was perpetrated by Metallica. When they craped out Load all hell broke loose. Think about that.

  • @mammal360 Load was a good album.

  • @UNCARING1 yep, compare to st anger

  • stop fighting. remember metallica's influences were NWOBHM bands.

It's all good. This song's sick and metallica's sanitarium is sick. They all sound good who cares. Every song is ripped off something somewhere sometime, so stop fighting over whose better. good riffs, good melodies cool vocals something to enjoy, sounds good have a good time and party!

  • @jonescosmo this is not an influence its straight up plagiarism

  • @jonescosmo

Word! absolutely true. stop fucking you all, no need for shit like that. regards

  • For all the idiots that don't know how to do any research and don't believe that Metallica said they took it from another band (AND DIDN'T EVEN GIVE THE BAND CREDIT) here you go. guitarworld com/ primecuts_metallica?page=0%2C2 There. Now you're all pwned and can shut the fuck up.

  • Comment removed

  • and Meh-tallica still stole riffs from Mustaine's Riffbook. all of you Meh-tallifags need to fuck off and go play on your guitar hero.

  • @disturbedspike

They cowrote shit so its not realy stealing....... Anyway shut up and just enjoy the music you like....

  • @disturbedspike why do you keep spelling thier name wrong its metallica and i dont own guitar hero thats gay, i play real guitar jerk off

  • @emlawson16 No its MEH-Tallica cause thats what they are ... Meh.

  • @NaztyNayt oh yeah, after the people reclaims it!!!

  • sanitarium.... oh sorry metallica los eche de cabeza

  • I like Metallica but its quite obvious that this song, tapping into the emotional void, and 1983(a merman i should turn to be) were all "inspirations" for them.

  • they also stole some enter sandman parts from Excel's Tapping Into the Emotional Void. Also, Smoke on the Water's main riff is stolen from Astrud Gilberto and Gil Evans Maria Moite.

  • metallica did use this riff yeah everyone knows that who cares they said it themselves they did it because they liked it and gave credit to bleak house.

  • What a wonderful coincidence

  • Well, I listened to this one so many times and still don't get it, the only resemblance I hear between two songs is in both the intros, but calling that a rip-off is like calling every single metal song a rip-off from Black Sabbath, even worse than that. Metallica did take many influence from NWOBHM bands and therefore got the inspiration from certain songs but why looking for rip-offs? Don't have to like it if you don't want to, it's that simple. Thumbs up if you like Metallica anyway.

  • Never a big fan of Metallica, but this song is dope

  • You know what they say: "Good artists copy, and great artists steal."

  • Actually this is very good, and I add my puny voice to those that say Metallica have just ripped this.

  • @RuskieJTAC im sorry, but your wrong. Sanitarium is not their worst, its in the top 2 next to Fade to Black for their ballads

Metallica's song has an escalation where it just takes you for an amazing ride

i think when you say "i love Metallica", what it really means is you "love" Metallica

  • gotta say, this song is effin' awesome

  • its a coincidence who gives a fuck...metallica rules

  • meh.. Metallica used it better anyway, in every possible way

  • people rip people off all the time, it's just how the music industry is... but regardless, there's a difference between blatant ripping of and just using an idea, it still takes talent to turn a riff into a gem of a tune, and to Metallica's Sanitarium, that became a beast of a track from a simple riff

  • @RuskieJTAC the link' s working again

  • @RuskieJTAC Sucks.

  • can you put more songs from this band ...its awesome !! :D

  • dats like brother of metallica's welcome home

    awesome ...!

  • lol 4 notes match and everyone shouts copycat! This world has always produced music with only 12 notes. you cannot call them thieves! copy paste a whole song with vocal melody, thats what is copying.

  • Reminds me of both an Outlaws and a Metallica track...

  • Bleakhouse had TWO 7inch EPs during the 80s, not one. Apart from this, they released the "Lions in Winter" EP. Recently a live album by them also saw the light of day.

Great band and great song anyway! Stop debating whether Metallica stole it. EVERY band is influenced by others. Just listen to the song and enjoy it...

  • @aprettycoolguyful im not pretending I'll actually didn't like metallica very much. My point here is not bashing metallica i just wanna show that this band isn't so pure and awesome as you think. You metallica fans are the worses t of all because you hate everyone that say something bad about metallica. Beside everyone knows that they ripped that riff it is time you face the thruth.

  • @ironscull Who cares that they took the riff, and played it better and made a killer song with it. Your attempt to say that you weren't trying to bash Metallica is flawed because that is the only reason why you posted this and you know it. Everyone has their own taste in music stop being condenscending.

  • @ironscull

yup. Even Hetfield admitted it's a ripoff in an interview but said "the band in question shall remain anonymous". This is a great song though, can see why a bunch of sharks like that would go for this :D

  • @aprettycoolguyful

They've taken parts from songs various other NWOBHM bands too, oh and Excel.

  • It's just an arpeggiated power chord with an opening and ending open string. The accents are in different places also.

  • Shockingly Metallica ripped off more songs then the 12 ripped songs by Led Zeppelin. Holy shit!

But still Led Zeppelin made it obvious that they ripped like super bluntly obvious, not even trying to hide, Metallica made it sound different in the studio, but hey at least they admitted to it. Led Zeppelin only admitted to 6 songs form the 12... And etc... blah blah

  • @LinkBulletBill prove that shit, you faggot . What songs have they ripped off besides this? It sucks that they've ripped this off, but what else? And Zeppelin never made it obvious to anyone. How would the white kids around the world know that they're using some old blues artist's shit? They're just thieves, period.

  • @RawwestHide

Well Zeppelin made it bluntly obvious because they mostly lyrically ripped music, and a few time ripped instrumentally... Look Enter Sandman was from Excel's Tapping The Emotional Void and they ripped off so many songs from Offspring, which I don't even know that band but just go google it... Also Led Zeppelin were in a time when no one credited anyone, when it wasn't a cover, and The Beatles & Deep Purple instrumentally ripped a fucking lot, but not lyrically.

  • @LinkBulletBill You're wrong about that. They had 2 legitimate covers on their first album ( where the people were credited. The Small Faces ( whom Robert Plant knew personally and completely ripped the vocals for Whole Lotta Love from ) credited Willie Dixon for the lyrics. George Harrison was sued because of similarities between My Sweet Lord and He's So Fine. Zeppelin were opportunistic thieves who got away with it. Great music, but creatively they were shit., People definitely credited.

  • @RawwestHide

Led Zeppelin entered the 70s were plagiarism seriously became strict.

Lyrics are what makes it obvious. And hell if they would replace the lyrics they would have still got famous because of the band's music, the voice, the sound, the beast and etc. Robert even explained that he borrowed these lyrics and improvised them in the studio, like Bring It On Home, Dazed And Confused, he felt he needed to bring back those great lyrics like Whole Lotta Love, but they should have gave credit.

  • @LinkBulletBill They would've been famous if they said they took most of their ideas from old blues artists ( could've even turned it into a civil rights thing, respecting old black men, etc ) and brought them to a new generation. But opportunistic Page seemingly wanted that glory.

  • @RawwestHide

No it's confusing... Plant stole the lyrics, still Page ripped. 6/7 was creative & original. One minute... The Small Faces didn't even credited Willie Dixon! Until later... 1/7 of Zep's was stolen. Mostly lyrics... The Beatles (early days) take a song, change it a bit, change the lyrics, and say it was their own, John Lennon said that in an interview. Even though the right thing would be to give credit to that artist, but no, it wasn't a cover, and it was different by lil bit.

  • @ironscull

Yeah, remove my message you pussy!

  • @YoLpIsBest stick your message in your big fucking ass you trolle

  • I walk the streets at night, alone, for a reason. The guilt inside my head was there for a reason...

  • wats worse is metallica admitted sanitarium was a rip off but said that the band in question would remain anonymous. great band, just a dick thing to say

  • Well Metallica has ripped off at least 5 songs to create there "own music". That just pisses me off more especially considering what they did to napster, fucking ridiculous....hacks

  • @FurySeeker Well if someone was ripping you off such as Napster giving music away that does not belong to them and infringing on copyrights which is illegal. Metallica took a stand and ended the madness, if it were you you would have done the same I know I would. You want to look at it as oh they should not have done that to us, well screw you taking advantage of an illegal giveaway.

  • Comment removed

  • @FurySeeker dude their both different things metallica made music with it and a good job, napster was just for people to take music

  • james hetfield gaves credit to bleak's house for this riff, and to rush for tom saywer's riff that is also used in this song... i'm a little disapointed with that, i expected so much for master of puppet's ballad; but metallica didn't steal any of the two riffs used, i repeat james hetfield aknowledge to both bands

  • they kindof remind me of Black Sabbath

  • Hey, it does sound like Sanitarium, although I like Sanitarium more, but this is pretty damn good. If it wasn't for this song, we'd have no Sanitarium!!! Probabaly. lol. At least not the intro part thing. haha. Great song.

  • oh whatver you stupid dumbshits

every band steals at least 1 fucking riff from another band how about you create a song yourself you will find it so hard eventually you start making similar parts of a song you heared so shut the fuck up and im specifically referring to you ironscull

  • @kingstomman fuck of man i can write what i want to and some fucking metallica wannabe wont be telling what to do. I upload this song because its awesome. I know its hard to make good and unique riff but for fuks sake metallica admited that they lift this riff . My point here is to show you all metallica fans that your band isn't that awesome like you think

  • @ironscull and this so just because they were influenced by another band?

learn how bands work then come post bullshit like that every band was influenced by something led zepplin for example was influenced by blues music they borrowed from them and changed it to their stlye its all about showing us the great riffs not thinking about how they stole a fucking riff

besides its only a few fucking notes

  • @ironscull james hetfield recognized it since the releasing of sanitarium as a demo, and please don't argue like that about which band is better, that have nothing to do with music. You anger lead you to the worst example: Stairway to heaven opening riff was borrowed from an Spirit song: Tauros; also the incredible blues style developed by Led zeppelin was created over the classical blues riffs and progressions.

  • @ironscull

You're right, they're more awesome and they kick this bands ass.

  • @ironscull YEAH tell that metallica bitch

  • @ironscull where is the proof that metallica admited they rip off this song?Links articles, interviews?

  • @ironscull what you refer to as a 'rip-off' is actually called inspiration. It's like saying snickers is a rip-off of mars bar cause they both have black wrappers. they're both good songs and stop being a tool.

  • @ironscull what you refer to as a 'rip-off' is actually called inspiration. It's like saying snickers is a rip-off of mars bar cause they both have black wrappers. they're both good songs and stop being a tool.

  • @fityonecents Snickers is MADE by Mars. You can't rip-off yourself.

  • @kingstomman lol its easy to make music sound the same, but this is the EXACT same riff dude.

  • @MrHellokeven no its not you need to et your ears checked

they are just similar metallica were inspired by this riff

i cant coutn how many times i get a riff stuck in my head and i edn up thinking "hey i just created a riff" then my cousin come along and says "hey that sounds alot like this song"

  • @MrHellokeven sorry about the typo's

  • @kingstomman Bands don't steal riffs if they have talent. Just think of it this way, if James Hetfield isn't even smart enough to write his own music, how dumb does that make his fans?

  • @HardforJesus ask yourself how dumb are you? its called influence learn the definition they just borrowed the riff

and its only 1 fucking song its not like he did a full album with stolen riffs just because a band has talent doesnt mean they cant use another bands riff they will one day or another cause they are influenced by them

  • @kingstomman Influence essentially means being inspired by another artist and/or their art. Not directly copying them. Yeah I agree. It's only one song, as opposed to Led Zeppelin stealing half of their songs from Howlin' Wolf. But that doesn't matter, when every Metallica song sucks to begin with.

  • @HardforJesus exactly being influenced by another band will makign you end up doing a riff similar it aint exactly like sanitarium and copying 1 riff doesnt make the whole band suck what are you a fucking retard? get some common sense

  • @kingstomman No no no, but ruining a song beyond your abilities definitely shows you suck. You're so incoherent when you type. It's hilarious. Are all Metallica fans this retarded?

  • @HardforJesus no its called typing fast judging over the internet is just making you look dumber but there is a solution for that you have three options

option 1 you can grow a brain

option 2 you can get a clue

option 3 you can educate yourself so you wont look like a complete jackass the fact that sanitarium achieved more succsses than this song proves how not only did they make the riff pleasent to the ear but how they proved they made it better than the original

  • @kingstomman That's like saying since Brittany Spears makes more money than Booker White did, she was more talented. Oh well, thanks for admitting Metallica is all about income and not quality songwriting.

  • @HardforJesus going on videos and saying sanitarium and metallica sucks just because they stole or copied 1 riff from rainbow warrior proves not only that your a ignorant fool but you have no knowledge of metallica whatsoever dont forget that they have 4 albums that simply blows this bands every album they have they have achieved more sucsses and people prefer sanitarium than this

you dont like it? its your opinion go cry to your therapist

    now shut the fuck up

  • @kingstomman Metallica hasn't released one good album lol. The most talented member of that shitty band was probably Dave Mustaine and even he sounds like an duck farting out a machete when he sings.

  • @HardforJesus right go tell it to thrash fans that kill em all ride the lightning master of puppets and justice for all 4 albums which made more succsses than megadeth's whole career fan wise

  • @kingstomman Yup, because sales and popularity determine talent. That's why Justin Bieber's doing so well.

  • @HardforJesus read my comments again i said fan wise not sale wise

    explanation for the stupid

  • @kingstomman Popularity = fans you idiot. Read the comment again. More fans also means more sales genius.

  • @HardforJesus so explain to me how megadeth have a bigger fan base than metallica but they are less succssesfull

your clearly some stupid kid trying to act smart fact will remain that metallica will forever be above bleak house and sanitarium will forever be above rainbow warrior no matter how much you pathetcally bitch that metallica stole a riff

  • of course if you can play something and you think its talent but people think its shit means you have no talent justin bieber is a talented singer but he isint a good musican he doesnt know how to write a proper song thats why his songs suck so much balls

look a dave mustaine he sucks at singing but his guitar work makes up for it

your nothing but an ignorant fool period

  • @HardforJesus now enough with this fucking bullshit i dont give a shit if you hate metallica then its your problem if you got a problem with my opinions you can go fuck yourself and go bitch to your god

    grow up and move on

  • @kingstomman Hey metaltard, Metallica didn't just yank this riff, they ripped tons of their greatest hits from others. Including your precious Enter Sandman. Get some perspective before you go tearing into good old fashioned classic rock.

  • @SillyLitleGirl

First of all get a life, this argument was 7 months ago

Second of all i don't concider Enter Sandman such a great song either way "ripping off" two songs doesn't mean metallica is not a great band both bleakhouse and excel failed to succeed in music as metallica did

and btw thats it only 2 songs they ripped off care to name another? enlighten me.

Also get your facts straight you're statements are pathetically stupid you proved yourself to be mentally challenged aswell.

  • @SillyLitleGirl Also i really don't see what's so fucking wrong with a band ripping off a song or two EVERY great band does that.

And if i see my own idea used by a famous band and i get to see it on tv getting credit for it or not id still be happy, now metallica admitted sanitarium to be an influence of rainbow warrior i put an emphasis on the INFLUENCE cause metallica only copied 3 power chords not the whole song.

as for enter sandman everybody knows the riff is copied so whats the deal?

  • @kingstomman: It's called "Plagiarism" and it shits on creativity. If it's accidental, it's a little different. Metallica has repeatedly done this "stealing riffs" gag. I'm not saying anything about either bands' merits as musicians, I'm simply stating that one is comprised of multi-millionaire theives, and the other are pure artists who make jack shit now.

    "....And Justice For All" indeed.

  • @CallingCrowe Hahaha "Done this repeatedly" Bullshit all i heard is 3 similar riffs to other songs if you got any others please enlighten me.

Fact will always remain Metallica are one of the most influential bands in the world if you disagree then I'd like to see you on stage and do better.

  • @kingstomman: Ah, yes, the typical "Can you do better?" argument. Please.

"Similar" - You obviously don't play guitar

I could say the same for people who bash politicians.

    I won't deny they're influential. I never did, and wouldn't.

This song (admitted by James) alone is enough to make them irresponsible artists.

Enter Sandman is very much ripped from Excel, and I'm not going into semantics on that. Deny the obvious all you want.

End of the Line = Why Wait by Pearl Jam, almost note-for-note

  • @CallingCrowe Your pathetic ignorance really makes me laugh you keep getting stuck between anywhere and nowhere every band makes a similar song to a one of the songs they got influenced by infact 'stairway to heaven' was influenced by a song called 'Spirit" Taurus would you call led zepplin a shit rip off band? the grandfather of rock. you also call the "typical" can you do better argument. well that's stupid ain't it? cause its true can you do better than metallica? if so enlighten us.

  • @CallingCrowe Pearl jam's why wait doesnt sound anything by metallica's end of the line i think you must be drunk typing this.

  • @CallingCrowe Your stupidity is ridiculous you let other people who posts videos on youtube let you make your pathetic opinion you find a video metallica rips off pearl jam! BAM in your stupid head they ripped it off no they did not cause they don't sound similar also the riff for enter sandman has a lot of common notes which classic guitarists and even beginners use. you must know nothing of guitar yourself to claim such statements. and Rainbow warrior is one of the songs that influences them.

  • @seraglukemicky19: Okay, your horrid word-salad of terrible English just gave me a screaming headache, so I'm going to continue to ignore you, since you're obviously blind with ignorance.

  • @CallingCrowe Ah incorrect punctuation just gave you a headache. Makes a lot of sense you always have seemed to get stuck between anywhere and nowhere.

Unless you have anything intelligent to say other than some pathetic grammar insult then don't even continue to make reply and make yourself look like a complete fool.

  • @CallingCrowe But what i find funny is that you are not capable of reading, For the simple fact that my English was pretty good there... It was just to hard for you to understand considering you are some 15 year old punk who tries to act smart.

A fool you were a fool you remain,

  • @seraglukemicky19: And now you're sliding into hilarious assumptions. I'm done here. Enjoy your idiotic fanboying, if you're lucky James Hetfield will let you suck his dick. A hole is a hole, after all.

  • @CallingCrowe Hilarious assumptions? f it's so hilarious why can't i see you respond to it? you lost you got nothing to say other then "let you suck his dick" what an immature response, typical 15 year old that doesn't know anything about nothing. Have fun basking in the shame of your own immaturity and ignorance.

  • @seraglukemicky19: You also lack the ability to click on a name before making gross assumptions. =D

  • @CallingCrowe i can't find why wait. i want to compare the two songs

  • @CallingCrowe If you listen closely to 'Tapping into emotional void' and 'Enter Sandman' you will see that they sound only a bit similar but have their major differences the smiliarity is combined with common notes so anybody who thinks they ripped off excel is a long way from being right. The only reason why people think Enter Sandman was ripped off was because it was stated by Mustaine.

  • i was in cracked.com and i just found out that metallica and zeppelin stole some songs is this tru

  • metallica did openly admit to ripping off the main lick from this song, even though they never stated the band in the interview, i am still and will always be a hardcore metallica fan regardless of the fact,

  • Hetfield admits it; though not openly: "The riff for that song was lifted from some other band, who shall remain anonymous."

  • You have to admit this is a bitching song, regardless if it was stolen by Metallica/ inspired them to write Sanitarium.

  • fuck off metallica

  • Thanks for the link or else i dont think i would have ever been able this song

  • SANITARIUM

  • @Metallicathrashsam, Metallica knocked off this riff, they admitted to doing it. Plus this song was done in the late 60's. So even if you claim they stole it from Tallica, you're wrong because this came much earlier.

  • Sounds like Metallica's Sanitarium...

  • @apriltucs not correct it is Sanitarium sounds like this

  • @ironscull actually, this song came out in 1981 and sanitarium came out in 1986.

  • @ironscull

    Third Paragraph Dumbass

  • @ironscull

Google "Prime Cuts: Metallica - Guitar World" and read the third paragraph dumbass.
