@Motorfordtoyota there's a billion of them . . . your kinda stupid. Think about how much money that is going to be for GM, STILL an American car company.
@ActionBastard85 GM has enough money trust me I know. The company I work for Nexteer formerly Delphi steering, formerly Saginaw Steering Gear of GM located in Saginaw MI was sold two weeks ago to a Chinese company named Tempo. There is no such thing as an American car company anymore sorry if I sound bitter.
@eqagj I'd forgotten i'd watched this . . . but yeah true enough I guess, gm should be called governmet motors, maybe thats why they're making decent cars again . . jag is now an indian company, volvo is chinese now? . . .etc. everything gets sold back and forth again and again. lol they just better not duck sauce my mustang lol
@jeffsandychelsea i agree; if it was designed in america than it wouldnt be jap crap; people like to still think that gm are american cars. In my honest opinion it looks too much like one of those cartoons you see people drawing on the streets. Rivieras are supposed to be a clean aerodynamic design not a bunch of intake ports in the body with neon tubes running up and down,
ITS AN EYESORE FOR A BUICK BUT I LIKE THE INTERIOR. PERHAPS IF THEY MADE A PONTIAC VERSION OF IT THAN IT WOULD BE NICE.
This Riviera concept looks tons better than all the eyesores Buick has built since 1974. It certainly captures the tautness of the original Riviera, unlike the piggy version of the mid '90s with its hideously long overhangs.
Buicks from the late '90s to today are the most boring anonymous designs ever, which is why nobody is buying them.
Bring back the '66 Riviera, and Buick would have a hit! They used to make the most beautiful American cars, they should go back to their heritage lines.
@MrDavfit Fuck that, shit was ugly.. Buick's not going to do that because they actually want to sell cars. Best looking riviera was the last one 95' or so..
what should i say after reading all this comments special people who didn't like it my friend if you can't move your ass here and U.S. and some real action quikly then let the chines do it for you and stop complaine because honestly we are very very slow as americans we need to get our self some heat and luren how can we move faster WE ARE VERY SLOW PEOPLE
Buick Riviera...NOT. Riviera is a personal luxury car. A different name is needed for this smart looking sports car. Thanks China for keeping Buick relevant.
As cool as those doors are... it feels like more and more cars are doing style over substance. How the hell are those doors ever going to be able to open in a parking lot with one car on each side?
Are you kidding? This is the NINTENDO generation hard at work. They've never even seen a tie. Old School to them is Speed Racer. No idea. And what? We're supposed to embrace a new Riv from where? China? NOT.
i have a 1996 riviera, its mint, it does have 197k on it but the previous owner kept it clean. i love my riviera and i think that this concept is a disgrace the name. i mean dont get me wrong its a nice looking car, but i wouldnt label it as a riviera. not in a million years.
If its chinese, its garbage

MrDavfit 2 years ago
The 79-85 Riviera was, like all American cars of that period, UGLY.
Take the '65-68 Riviera and update THAT.

nateronan 2 years ago 2
@nateronan You're right, that mid 90s crap is NOT a Riv. Check out the ones fro, the mid 60s or 70s Those were Rivieras

The same goes for Bill Mitchell and Ned Nickels as well. Nothing can equal the '63 to '65 models, period.

I had 2 65's, a 66 & a 67.
You are absolutely correct.
The 65's were my favorite.
This thing is ugly.

I'm all for progress, but have any of these designers even looked at photos of old Rivi's?
mcadarette 3 years ago
only slightly similar but yes, it makes you wonder. you would think that would be a prerequisite.

I have a '95, and I'm with you 100%. The only similarity is the fact it's a two-door Buick. What ever happened to GM copying German engineering?
