  • 80's Rule!

  • i like this song ! wow! i remember my teenager, yes!!!!!!!!! joseph co from sapangpalay bulacan 09277710762

  • i would gladly have a go with all of them!!!! YUM

  • love SB, i used to have it on in my car all the while and my mates would get pissed of with me, but that was in the 80s, now they know what SB was about , they love it too, brings back there youth

  • They were kind of like the poor man's Roxy Music, if Roxy had never gone to art school but i amdit they're a guilty pleasure.

  • Once again, proof that CD sales are down because music nowadays are CRAP.

  • Im 42 year old heavy rock fan but I love spandau ballet

  • Noto con interesse un plagio con Bennato , C'era una volta , edito negli stessi anni per il tema del falsetto

  • I really love this song for some reason. As a male it's a bit embarressing admitting that i like spandau ballet but i really do. A good band with good musicians.

  • @Jimjam1212

There is nothing embarrassing about liking Spandau Ballet. I'm a 45 year old male and love this stuff because it's great music.

Now, embarrassing would be liking Def Leppard.

  • By far the best male voice talent of the 80's bar none

  • Long live the '80's!

  • I love this song even though I can hardly understand a word of it.

  • great track, great memories ....happier times...long gone

  • The best song they did and also on top 10 of all the 80's I believe. Not only great music but words are right on.

One day he'll build a statue with his hands.....lifeline...... live and let live in love.......live and let die in love......NEITHER HAS A GHOST OF A CHANCE, THOSE DECISIONS ONLY CAN BE MADE ONCE,...

  • them were the day quality music at its best

  • Love the jumper Tony!

  • This song realy brings back alot of memories. Look how young they are. Those were happier times. My favorite group from the beginning.

  • @thaihorsex agree with you completely, the 80`s were the happiest time in my life and Spandeau were a fantastic group.

  • this song makes me feel so happy

  • seeing them on friday!!

  • ooo ooo oooh!

  • might just be my fav Spandau song....

  • i miss living in the 80's!

  • I thought its just me feeling the world has become more rough and corrapted. the music became lame and not fun. Bimbos and pimps rull the music charts

  • @mobyboy got to agree with you on that one

  • @mobyboy unfortunately you're bloody right man. I thought this kind of feeling had something to do with the coming of the age, but I found out that's not the point; whenever I hear and see things like this, nice, funny, positive yet classy and cleverly done, I can see they're standing the test of time. Stupidity, cynicism, arrogance, excess and so on seem to be more fashionable nowadays but I'm pretty sure good things always come back. Time will tell.

  • @mobyboy

    times change.

  • @mobyboy lmao what?!

  • So do I. I wish I could turn back the clock...

  • i wish i did

  • Mitici Spandau Ballet che ricordi gli anni 80 i migliori secondo me

  • only the uhuhhh part at the start.

  • Great share Cheers !

  • This great tune was one of their many top ten hits, which is hardly ever included in eighties compilations. As much as I enjoy 'True' and 'Gold', they're a little over played at times.

  • Great tune, well produced, and interesting lyrics .....

  • i was working 4 them at the nec arena lastnite, saw them from the stage, they were good

  • My Favourite Band of the 80's.......oh Martin you are too much for my eyes to take in, i had such a thing for you and even now remember how i felt when i gazed at your poster on my wall, i know Shirley is lovely but why oh why couldn't you have been mine......lol x

  • This is one of my favourite tracks from the 80s.

Spandau Ballet, Your music is real cool.

    Best Wishes Aaron :-)

  • Saw them In Dublin tonight the very first cocert of their comeback tour. They still have the old magic.

  • The best two decades for music IMO were the 60s and the 80s

  • Luv it. Gr8. My favs r Lifeline, Gold and True.

  • Tony looks like the handsome boy next door.

  • MY favourite Spandau Ballet songs are True Gold Ill Fly For You and Through The Barricades

  • This song is soooo gooood

  • my fav spandau song luv these guys

    ♥GARY KEMP♥

  • i m from spandau---- hehe---

    berlin

  • Ack, how far American music has fallen - we had it all when these guys were hitting...but they're back together...and my Swing out Sister is still going strong. Elevating Britpop to an even higher level than it already was. Still gives me chills.

  • me fav sb track

  • rotters Doncaster ...what things we got up to but what great times we had...

  • Keep on saying it..their best song

  • This is my daughter Amelia's favourite song. From Terry4555 Singapore. ;-)

  • I love this music! good video!

  • i really really really really love spandau ballet....no group in this generation could equal them...

  • I love Spandau and really want them to come to the US in the fall BUT Steve Norman cracks me up in this video :)

  • That last comment was a reply to helibabes, but it showed up the top :-/

  • Just the best Spandau song! so glad they are back together...fab band...fab music

  • Absolutely beautiful-has brought me out in goose bumps and brought a tear to my eye!! What a band!

  • loved them until Roxy Music came along with Avalon and blew them out of the water. They were the original true romantics. But heck we all need a little romance in our lives.

  • Dont care Theyre old and so im I. And they wrote beautiful songs and so did I. They were born in the sixties and so was I . And you were not so I dont expect you to understand

  • When they tour later this year, don't expect them to sound/look like this, or you'll be VERY disappointed!!

  • so love this song cant get enough of it

  • I want Tonys cable knit jumper!!!

  • In the vid for To Cut a Long Story Short one of them is sporting the classic Icelandic Jumper!

  • I am really hoping for an announcement for a USA tour. I am 16, it seems I was born during the wrong era, into the wrong country. :[

  • @ImBetterThanYooo

I'm 15, and i wanted to go to their concert in Amsterdam but i was

to late with buying my tickets :(

  • @ImBetterThanYooo That's such a shame. I was born in 1978 and still feel like I missed out as I was only 4 when this was released!

  • @ImBetterThanYooo SAME! I'm 16 and I completely love all the music of Rick Astley, but alas his music has faded from its hype in the 80's (but a new single released tomorrow! so excited!) and I desperately want him to do a US tour! Get out of England Rick!

-Like your taste in music, let's keep in touch, seems we have the same music and same problems to share :P

  • They'll be also in Barcelona!!

  • cheers ! :)

  • if you make it drop me a line how it was. hope they will come to holland also !

  • great time indeed and i am 44 :)

  • SPANDAU....ARE BACK """

THERE GOING ON A FULL UK TOUR.

TRUE LEGENDS OF THE FANTASTIC 80s MUSIC SCENE.

  • Does anyone know if the new gold cd & dvd has the original videos or not?

  • Saw Spandau Ballet live back in 1985, they were amazing! I hear they are reuniting later on this year for a few shows.

  • Great song from the album True - still a classic after all these years

  • THE 80's!!! An INCREDIBLE time to have been a teen.

  • Such a great upliftig tune!!

  • By the way, is it just me or do Gary and Martin look a bit over-excited at 1:23-1:25?

  • why couldn't i be born in the 80s? why why why? omg they're all so fit!

  • love d 80's . . . .

  • i keep waiting for gary and martin to make out already.

  • Roxy Music?

  • They seriously need to bury the hatchet and just get back together already.

  • But why did they split up in the first place?

  • Songwriting and royalty issues. Apparently, Gary Kemp wasn't the sole songwriter as it were. They even took the case to court. A little similar to The Smiths.

  • I was told that they split because Tony Hadley wanted more than he was entitled to.

  • I love Tony Hadley forever!

  • Yep - the guitar, bass, and sax in this...can't help but move when I hear this one....

  • My very first Spandau video - has always had a special place in my heart :D That Stevie N.....wowie!

  • The True album is to this day the best stand alone piece of music I have ever heard. It is the standard by which I continue to judge new music to this day!

  • Another vid that was shown in the states...and I remember it by the red telephone line and the little girls...wow...what a memory!

Such dapper young gents eh! Another one of my all-time faves from *True* ~ that whole album was genius...bloody genius!

And just look at them?! C'mon...Duran who??????

    xoxoxo
