  • tobiko is fly fish eggs not crab eggs... bleh imagine crab egs disgusting.

  • @SwerdThaViewer Yes, Ikura is Salmon roe, Tobiko is flying fish roe.

  • Hey, sushi EXPERTS, I have a question. I purchased sushi-grade salmon and ahi tuna and frozen tobiko on Saturday with the intent to make sushi Sunday. My plans didn't work out and now I have a sealed jar of tobiko and two packages of raw fish in my fridge today (Tuesday). I think I will have to cook the fish, but what about the tobiko? Is it okay? The jar is sealed...Thanks!

  • @thou9009 i placed my tobiko in my freezer. should last a long time. as far as the salmon is concerned, eat it sashimi style... don't you dare let any heat touch that poor fish!

  • It's Tobiko as he said, it's flying fish roe. Typically orange and sold at most Asian markets. I suggest the wang brand!
