Might I suggest another fingering for your left hand too? unless you want a strain of course.. just use index finger on the 5th (G when on the C-chord) etc. then the thumb on A (on the C-chord). This'll give it a more swingy feeling.

Imo, Jerry Lee wouldn't have been able to play like this.. especially not at his current age either!
