I have the exact same camera and lens. (Silver too). Don't be put off by the colour as I almost was, as this takes great photos just as a black one would.
Since having it for just under a year, I have got a flashgun and the BG-E3 battery grip to make it a lot more sturdier.
This has camera has got my shots in a newspaper and I now work Freelance with it and hoping to go pro with a job I applied for. And all with this camera!
