why dont they wear helmets? i dont mean to sound nasty or anything, just a question, surely your more likely to fall off standing on a horse than sitting on one?

@xMakeUpBySavannahx You're more likely to land on your feet if you fall off when standing on a horse as opposed to sitting. Statistically speaking there are actually more injuries from falls in dressage, eventing and other equestrian disciplines than there are in vaulting. Vaulters learn to fall properly so as to avoid injury. It's actually safer NOT to wear a helmet because it throws off their balance. You don't see gymnasts wearing helmets for the same reason.
