me and my friend were at these auditions...it took what seemed like hours to get the crowd shots...after a while we started getting irritated and the producer just kept saying this is the last shot...a million times...and then it took hours to audition...we got there@

Yes, it's true. I'm from Portugal and i went to the "idolos" auditions with a friend and she didn't pass this preselection. Now we know why reeeeally bad singers go to the final judges: Just for the show!!

O.K. So I'm confused. Are you going to another audition? I think they ought to put a change of producers in so the people last in line get a fair chance and not be tuned out by tired ones. Of course, this is pretty typical of the other side of the camera....long hours. In this case it would be fair if they would try to make a change. Doubt it will happen.

I thought the experiance was pretty retarded. They said every booth had a specific thing they were looking for and if you didnt havent wether you could sing or not they wouldnt let you in. I heard 4 diff people before I had to sing, and they sounded amazing and they still didnt make it through. Oh well.... better luck next year!

I auditioned around 6:30 that night, and I had judge 1. He was pretty much a jerk. One of the girls in front of me introduced herself and said where she was from, and he and said... "And?!" as if to say "I don't really give a crap, just sing."

So, you pretty much summed up the audition perfectly! I went Wednesday to register, and I was told that the earlier you registered the earlier you auditioned. Then, on the day of audition, one of the event staff people told me that they reversed the order of the tickets they gave us. So the people that showed up late to register were the first ones to audition.

Ya, there were like 4 sections in the 100s that all got their tickets late Thursday, but they let them go before all the 200s anyway (who got tickets Wednesday). Not cool.

My sister and I got there at 2:30 am and 14 and 1/2 hours later we got to audition. We were worn out because I was so excited that I could sleep for about 48 hours before that so my throat was dead. Make sure to SLEEP!

I auditioned in Boston this year and felt the exact same way about the experience there. It happened to be raining, though... lol. that was probably the worst part of the whole experience. Talking to people in line made the time pass fairly painlessly, so that wasn't so bad.
