@WoWkiddymage theres a counter for everything. and a counter for that counter and so on n so forth. just try it and if it works for you, use it. if not come up with something different
If someone lowers their elbows and hips to squash me down, I create space by pushing them away with my shins and reestablish good butterfly position. I would never simply "pick a side" as your student does here. This is a good pass if someone were to do that, but a good butterfly player wouldn't.
kEN - Another great video! How would you handle the stiff arm from the guy on the bottom? More direct, the bottom guy stiff arms the head and shrimps out the opposite side.

my prior video on guard recovery with the a stiff arm addresses this, but with a frame i would let my head ride upward in the direction being pushed and miove my body opposite. I hope that helps or can be visualized.
im just wondering cant he just get the underhook on the other side and on the same side extend the butterfly hook and sweep you?
