  • where the heck is gandalf?

  • that's so crazy about all the stuff they took out, but I'm glad they did! and The mouth of Sauron was WAYYYY creepy. Kudos to those make-up artists!

  • oh good lord that they didnt use the sauron idea in the end.

  • I actually sat in the cinema and thought "Wow this is stupid." when I saw the Witch King's morning star... still do. It's ridiculous! A mace would have been both more appropriate and way more awesome, IMHO. Also I still don't understand why they gave the Witch King an enclosed helmet instead of the 'floating' steel crown with a gleam of eyes he had in the book. Way more sinister than what they came up with. Over all I found the scene very disappointing - not that I could have done any better. :P

  • All the time I was like 'Hell yeah, there's another part of Behind the Scenes' and then I saw, there's no Part 8... I feel so terrible right now :D

  • 6:55 The Mouth of Sauron doing a Yoda impression?! haha lol XD

  • 2:04 that's what she said

  • @11:31 How about lurtz?

imagine if he didnt die back then in fellowship and he became a high ranking general

aragon will avenge boromir by fighting lurtz and killing him

I really didnt get why they didnt do that lol

  • Now I get it why in oficial adptation of the movie into the video game the Witch King looks like Sauron xD.

  • I love how they actually got to use some of the footage for something completely different.

  • o for god sake he created so many scenes for the movie

which he ends up deleting in the final movie

so much work and effort gone waste

  • lmao at turning the mouth sideways. thank goodness they didn't keep it, it looks like a vagina XD

  • DEGER

  • Out of all the things in the LOTR trilogy, i think theres plenty more things to point out then 'man, that mace is a bit big don't you think?'

  • Heyy isn't 'Mouth of Sauron' The guy that plays Zeddicus in Legend of the seeker? o:

  • they should have done the big duel!!!

  • THEY WERE GOING TO HAVE SAURON IN THE FILM!!!!!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH for these outtakes!!! I had a great time!!

  • Do you see the hugging people at 06:34 ? or is it just me.....?

  • i love hearing the witch-king giggle next to peter jackson.

  • All i was looking at where those damn dead horses..

  • The mouth of sauron is one of my favorite parts in the movies, I always remembered it from when i was little

  • Oh and all due respect to Mr. John Howe but the Witch-King's helmet on the movie is much fiercer.

  • 0:09 and 0:11. Isn't that Morgoth/Melkor on both pictures? Especially the second, with Ungoliant. Or am I missing something?

  • @bloodystain I think you're right. Even if it is it was to create the concept of the armor.

  • @bloodystain

That's really Morgoth and Ungoliant. They are about to destroy the trees of Valinor. This art was used as a cover for "Morgoth's Ring", one of the 12 volumes of "History of Middle Earth". I don't know if they misused this in the Outtakes or were just trying to show the whole art of John Howe.

  • Good that they didn't use Sauron the Fair. Sauron lost the ability to take on a fair fall at the fall of Nümenor.

  • Im saying it: I love Viggo.

  • Thank you for this! Have enjoyed watching all the parts immensely =]

  • I clicked this video and before it even started I pressed "Show more" on the description box hoping for a "Part 8 coming soon"... but alas

  • heir of Ildur!!

  • if your eading this and you've only seen lord of the rings original then go see extended edition, it is 10x better and longer

  • 2 people haven't watched LOTR!

  • Why isent The Mouth Of Sauron in the movies?

  • @SuperOblivionDude It is, but only in the extended version on DVD.

  • Bruce Spence is the only guy who's been in all three of the most successful film trilogies in history: LOTR, Star Wars, and The Matrix trilogies.

  • Some people call it a mace, some people call it a morning star...

I ended up calling it 'damned heavy'

    xD

  • Thank you for posting all of these. I was wondering where did you get them? Are they on the extended edition or was this on tv one day?

  • Oh..and by the way...soon there will be the movie about the hobbits..well..what i want to say is:Why they don't make a movie that continues the trilogy??is that impossible??no its not...why??well...the idea that came to my mind was..The Witch King Of Angmar...like the game..somehow lets say he didnt died at all..he is a wraith anyway right?? ;) and about the hobbit movie..please i hope they will show us the whole first battle of Lord Sauron...it MUST be on it...otherwise...it will be not worth!!

  • @AdminTheKing But..........That would be stupid as Tolkien never wrote a sequel to LOTR.

  • @TheBioLover

He actually intended to and got a chapter in rough draft form. It was concerning Aragorn's son as king and the re-emergence of a cult of Sauron worshippers. He died before he could make any meaningful progress though.

  • @Havenwaters Shame, it sounds interesting...

  • @Havenwaters How do you know that. Where did you get that info. I need to know. I am a Tolkien fiend.

  • @mavarek666

If you asked me which book, I wouldn't be able to tell you but I distinctly remember reading that the Nazgul were the men who Sauron gave the Nine to and he enslaved them through the One Ring. All the rings are bound to the One Ring. Dwarves were unable to be corrupted by Sauron through the rings due to their hardiness and incredible greed (heightened by the Seven), and the only reason the Elves weren't enslaved is because they took theirs off when they discovered that....

  • @Havenwaters

Annatar was Sauron and he put on the One Ring which led them to realize they were played. Men however were niether wise or hardy enough to resist the One Ring's control over the Nine and they received unnatural long life and power but then turned into wraiths eventually - bound by the One Ring's power. Once the One Ring was destroyed - all the rings - the Three, the Seven, and the Nine had their powers dissolve due to their being bound by the one Ring. Therefore the Nine that...

  • @Havenwaters

were keeping the Nazgul existant lost their powers and so the Nazgul faded. In a way it was like the oathbreakers that Aragorn redeemed. They were destined to never rest until their oath was fufilled. It was somewhat like that with the Nazgul - they would never know rest til their master was destroyed as well as the object that held them enslaved to their master. As for the elf rings, thank Eru that Galadriel cast down Dol Guldur with Nenya before the One Ring was destroyed.

  • @Havenwaters Wrong about the elven rings. The elves were not affected because it was the only 3 rings not made by Sauron, but made by Celebrimbor... Lord of Eregion.

  • @Aranadhel

No. They were not affected because as soon as Sauron put on the One, they realised they had been duped and they took off the rings and Celebrimbor sent them to secret people (later known to be Cirdan, Elrond, and Galadriel). When Sauron was defeated by the Last Alliance they could freely wear their rings without fear of being pawns of Sauron since he didn't have the ring. Celebrimbor still made the Elven rings with what he learned from Sauron and everything Sauron taught them was

  • @Havenwaters

for the purpose of enslaving them.

  • @Havenwater Celebrimbor learnt from Sauron, yes but amongst all the rings only he forged the Elven rings, hence they were not bound at all to Sauron.

  • @AdminTheKing A nice thought mate but I think a large amount of Tolkien fans would be a offended and I don't think Peter Jackson would want to do it. Best leave it as it is, as they are, i.e, masterpieces.

  • @AdminTheKing have you read any of the books? the book is called the hobbit, or there and back again. btw the battle of dagorlad, which i assume you are saying is the "first" battle of Lord Sauron, which isn't, where the ring was cut off was wayyyy before the hobbit. so i doubt they will show it all.

  • @AdminTheKing

The Witch-King and other Nazgul became complete and total servants of Sauron thru the nine rings meaning they could only exist as long as their master did who in turn could only last as long as the one ring did.

  • First of all...we must say a BIG BIIIIG THANKS to @xXmellemXx for uploading this epic stuff....it really help many of us to notice and keep some....stuff of this which belongs to the creators of the lord of the rings...what i mean is many of us didnt just saw these videos to have a good time...in fact we kept something from it...something that for many people out there is different and means something...!!Anyway i rally really enjoyed it i want more...if you haver more stuff please let us know!!

  • it sucks that this is the last vid

  • The witch king of Angmar looks amazing love him :)

  • Is the scene with the Mouth of Sauron in the extended version? Cos it certainly isn't in the Theatrical version.

  • @chinghxd Yes it is :)

  • Haha. I my self thought that the mace in the movie was too small

  • If i was sam i would of killed Frodo and gone onto destroy the ring myself.

  • is any of this footage on any of the DVD's?

  • The Mouth of Sauron design is absolutely ingenious, yet I haven't seen the trilogy in such a long time that I've forgotten most details! The split in the lower lip especially, that really freaked me out. Opening and closing. Right, freaky as hell and brilliant. The enlargement idea was such a great solution too, I can't help but be impressed since I'm an aspiring designer as well. Thank you so much for putting these up, it is actually very educational to us artists! <3

  • Part 8 please :(

  • Haha the mouth of sauron is trying to be serious and then the horse is being retarded and hes like Fucking Jesus!

  • I don't remember the Sauraun guy at all

  • @gydeme He's only in the extended version of Return of the King

  • I really want to do movie makeup. :(

  • Sauron and Saruman disliked this video.

  • @liveforlife2494 and the witch king

  • @liveforlife2494 And the Witch King

  • @liveforlife2494 and gollum

  • @liveforlife2494 It's at 4 now. The Witch King and The Mouth of Sauron also disliked it lol

  • Its weird to see the name "Quisling" used so widespread around the world.

  • ... did Peter Jackson just compare the Witch King to Jesus?

... moving on, yes, moving on...

  • @TheAle89515 In a way... it's not as bad as you imply. One could say perhaps the Witch King was a great man enslaved by his weakness for the ring - 9 for mortal men, doomed to die... Or you could say in a way the Witch King is the antichrist, hence represented by the inverse of white/holiness, yet the Fellowship prevailed and evil was destroyed - similar to the way in which one might envision a medieval representation of Jesus tempted by the devil in the desert... don't hate on Peter Jackson. ;)

  • @Kaeseia .... if I hated on Peter Jackson I wouldn't be watching these videos. I simply thought it was funny how he realized after he made the "crown of thorns" comment that he might have gone into territory he shouldn't have, and you can see that on his face. That's all... (aka I found it FUNNY not OFFENSIVE I'm not even Christian).

  • of coarse...the black rider is...black -_-

  • @TOMBuster13 Lol that's so racist right?

  • @CENTRINOaki nah its more like: everyone is white in the movie(don't really care about that), but the onlyone with 'black' in his name is the black rider, wich i think is pretty funny that he's played by a black guy :3

    me no racist btw :3

  • @TOMBuster13 Aaaah sorry, I mistook you for a person who goes waving the racist card at everything. I think it's just a coincidence that the guy who played the witch king is black, though it is kinda ironic xD

  • Come to think of it, it was a bit disappointing to see a massive troll fighting Aragorn at the gate. A troll ? Blahhh...They already fought one of those in the Fellowship. I'm thinkin' maybe they should have worked with Tolkien's original idea of having this hideously wicked sort of servant of Sauron greet them but make him more of a demon or evil spirit than a man.....but what do I know? Just the nerd in me coming out...

  • @dhog41 that's in the extended edition dvd :)

  • @dhog41 I agree, the troll was not intimidating at all. Could have used a much more significant character like have the servant of Sauron join the fight. I personally found Ewonyn's fight against the witch king more awesometacular. Epic unforseen confrontation, epic line, epic kill. Props to the princess! :D

  • Am I the only person that had to be reminded that the movies were actually about Frodo and Sam while watching them? Seriously, one second I'm so pumped because Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli did something awesome, then it cuts to Frodo and Sam and I think, "Oh shit, little people! Forgot about them!"

  • @sylentknyte

    and fangirls!!!

  • What Pete doesn´t think is good enough, he makes bigger!

  • Bruce Spence as the mouth of Sauron :) so awesome! :)

  • I'm really happy they didnt include that Aragorn/Sauron fight. Cant even imagine how much fanboys would have cried over it.

  • it's exactly 3am. i should really go to bed... BUT WATCHING THIS IS SO MUCH MORE FUN!

  • The Mouth of Sauron is a Black Numenoren.

  • "Because it's ludicrously large, but it works because it's ludicrously large. You see that thing and you see the look on Eowens face when she sees it, she's terrified."

    I so perverted.

  • 0:55

'Wraiths on the horses', not 'race on the horses'

  • the mouth of sauron character was pretty lame all the way around.

  • I never, not once, thought about how the mace was impossibly huge.

  • Holy hell, did they build the eliphaunt?

  • seriously thank you SO much for uploading these!! whislt it will cause most likely cause me to fail my exams, it has provided me with so much enjoyment :) i will think of you when i'm a 60 year old fry dunker at maccas :) x

  • 3:14 -> Something about the dreaded Witchking letting going, "Oh god!" amuses me to no end :)

  • could you imagine the Eowyn/Witch King fight in 3D with that mace :O

  • @panny14 whoaaa- that would be quite thrilling!

  • Stop being awesome! I have an essay to write!

  • 'For Frodo', you're wrong Aragorn. You should say 'For Frodo and Sam', i think everybody knows Sam is the true hero, lets face it - Frodo wouldn't never even got close to the mountain of fire if it wasn't for Sam.

  • @whatever8271 who cares hahaha

  • @whatever8271 same goes with every other member of the fellowship. That's why Tolkien wrote them into the story. And beside that - without Gollum the ring never would have been destroyed. You can't pick out one exclusive hero in this book, but you also can't remove someone.

  • @whatever8271 No, the point of emphasizing the evil in the One Ring is to show just how great a feat it was for Frodo to have carried it for ages without succumbing to its power like the ringwraiths. In the end of the books when the shire was freed by the 4 hobbits it was Sam who got the most praise and the hero treatment from the shire folk because they were unaware of the huge role Frodo played in the saving of Middle Earth.

  • @whatever8271 Sam does play a seriously important part but it'd be stupid to write off Frodo's role in the saving of Middle Earth and say he's not a true hero. I understood at least that much as a little girl even though I didn't grasp the entirety of the story then. I understand it better even now that you can't pick out one particular character as the "true" hero 'cause even Smeagol played a major part in the ring's destruction and you wouldn't necessarily call him a hero right off the bat

  • @whatever8271 Sam = the most BAMFiest of all BAMFdom....in the book. He gets the shaft in the movies.

  • @whatever8271 he said what they told him to say

  • @whatever8271 Yep.

  • @whatever8271 Everybody knows Sam is a true hero. Ask any fan, and they'll tell you- Heck, more people prefer Sam over Frodo. Don't worry.

  • @whatever8271 well said. People don't give him enough credit. Stupid fat hobbit, says Gollum. I say wisest of all you nutcases XD

  • @whatever8271 I agree Sam was also a hero, but then again (not directed at you) people have to think what it was actually like for Frodo to have his soul being taken away from him by the Ring, having to go day to day basically dying.

Sam was a hero, but Frodo, just being willing to do such a thing for Middle-Earth, was the bigger hero.

  • @whatever8271 If Sam wasn't with Frodo, Frodo would've been dead within a day!!!!!

  • @whatever8271

Yes, Sam is a hero and Frodo couldn't have done it without Sam. But lets not discredit Frodo, he did manage to fight against this horrible burden (the ring) for a long time and he was almost able to destroy it before it took hold of him almost completely. I like both Frodo and Sam, they are both amazing characters and great friends.

  • Hey guys I play this tabletop game called war of the ring it's all the factions in it ents elves even dwarves I would really love it if you got into this game and spread it around the minitures need glueing and painting from you but it's really fun I collect uruk-hai please try it and spread the game to your friends models can be found in any games workshop

  • @alal249 ?wtf XD advertising much? bahahaha

  • Thank you for sharing all this FABULOUS footage. Mesmerizing!!!

  • screw going to bed, i'm gonna watch this all night.

  • @KazegamiWind im with you on that one

  • Thank u so much for uploading this! I really enjoy watching it :D

  • dam! Andrew!

  • Well, when you have a film trilogy as epic as this, there better be some epic behind the scenes. Thanks for the uploads.

  • Annatar. I wish I had met the one who was able to trick Elves.

  • The Mouth seems mor elike a cenobite from the hellraiser flix. Not a bad thing. I mean. Think about it. Those nasty buggers would make you shit your pants if that walked out to talk to you. lol

The orc is a lumbering idiot and here is this guy that lived this long in the ranks of so much horror and rises to the top, no less. So the character here is to me a very dark one indeed. =D

  • Witch-King Lich King :D

  • I understand their reasons for leaving out the fight between Aragorn and Sauron, but I still would have liked to see it. I really wish that the mouth of Sauron was there!! he was terrifying. =D

  • It's incredible that they actually didn't yield to the temptation of using this spectacular duel scene with Sauron, though they had already shot it, just because they felt it didn't fit with what the story was all about. The involvement that was shown in that movie is definitely what makes it unique. Looking forward for "The Hobbit"!

  • all the armor TECHCS!!

  • 2:22 damn she got pissed off, and all the blokes laugh haha.

  • Wow always wondered what sauron look like b4 he was a giant floating fire eye ball

  • im happy they let out the Aragorn and Sauron duel, beacuse reading the books you know that Sauron cant regain his physical being without the Ring. It would have had true fans confused. Although i will admit the ghost scene and then the true Sauron did look cool.

  • @heaphcakes1988 The book states that he can take physical form, " He has only four on the Black Hand, but they are enough" How would the ring help without a physical form, you're thinking of the films.

  • Sauron ghost is fucking awsome

  • some call it a mace, a morning star. i call it damned heavy

  • I AM NO BRO

  • most of these scenes are found only on the extended versions, thats why some are not so familiar.

  • Ive seen lord of the rings a hundred times yet i cannot remember the mouth of sauron....

  • @madhatterlove107 jits only on the extended edition :) along with hours of deleted scenes

  • @madhatterlove107 he's only in the extended version of the movie. For some reason, they cut him out of the theatrical version

  • 07:59 That's pussy talk...

  • Have the new outtakes and behind the scenes been uploaded? Or am I just blind?

  • 2:04 That's what she said!

  • @EdwinMarc No, it's not.

  • 0:12 - That's not the Witch King, that's Morgoth with Ungoliant destroying the Trees of the Valar. How do I know this? No fucking clue.

  • without special effects, quite embarrasing... running towards the green screen yelling like a maniac.

  • Peter Jackson is a genius, Best movie ever made (and I'm not just saying that)

  • I think its amusing that Bruce Spence talks about the character he plays as the most make-up and prosthetics he has had, and a few years later he did star wars episode 3....

  • I like all of this.I found a lot joy, learned, touched and laughed.lots of things I didn't know before.all the actors are so great and cute:)Now I'm so excited that I want to watch the movies again!!

I love Aragorn since I was a child:)

    Thank you for uploading all!!

  • Isn't that kind of mace known as a flail?

  • Sauron disliked this

  • The mace made the witch king more awesome because it was HUGE!

  • 0:54 omg harry potter?? :'D

  • 1 Orc disliked.

  • oh my gosh you rock! i love watching these!

  • Not only did he get all covered up beyond recognition, he was cut from the non-extended version of the movie. Wonder how he felt sitting in the theater watching it for the first time? :D

  • The final troll that Aragorn fights with isn't Rogash, The Troll of the North?

  • @LionsGate1997PT" Rogash is not in any canonical Tolkien works." directly from a lotr wiki.

  • @TheRaellz oh, ok i just thought that it was him because i have the game "The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-Earth II - The Rise of the Witch-King" and there's a new army (Angmar) and one of the bosses of Angmar is Rogash, and he really does look like the troll that Aragorn fights :)

  • @LionsGate1997PT yeah they do look alike. loved those games.

  • I really love these uploads! Do you have some more of them?

  • Aragorn should have fought with Sauron

  • They used a black guy to play a black rider. That's racist. :|

  • The Lich King and the Witch King of Angmar look and even sound almost the same! There's a NPC in Honor Hold called Isildor. Thank you, WoW! And thank you @xXmellemXx for uploading these!

  • viggo/Aragon is the best!!!!!!!!!

  • THANK YOU so much for uploading!! loved watching that!

  • thanx for uploading the whole thing!

its really great to see how they really felt!
