Hey Chillin' This is NOT a version by the McCoys, rather it was from Rick's 2nd solo L.P./Album. It was released as a single but only made it up to No. 94 on Billboard's Hot-100 in Apiril..........1975. There'll be a quiz on Friday ;-)
This should be about ten years after the 1965 original McCoy's version, which Rick sang lead on as well! Rick should've been about 16 or 17 when he recorded the original with his band, The McCoys back in '65. This would make him about 26 or 27 yrs in this video. Rick was the original lead singer of the McCoys.

This was the huge hit, but I prefer the tune it was based upon. Let's see, "My gal sloopy?" Well, this one was the monster hit, so those who love it, enjoy!

i much prefer this version of the song. the older slow version is not to my taste. the melody and harmonies are much better in this version.

This is a souped up version that must have come out 3-5 years after the orig McCoys simpler version. Right?

@TheGB1950 Actually this is Rick Derringer's (former vocalist and guitarrist of the band) solo version, released in 1975.

Anyone have conclusive evidence who the young lady is? Lots of conjecture but if anyone knows, please tell. Thanks

@MrSparky148 All the speculation is just baloney. She was an unknown dancer hired for the video.
