Hello,
Have you had any issues with the saw-dust bag not collecting the dust? I talked to Makita and they indicate it could be a design flaw. I found it a little misleading having a bag on there that does nothing. Otherwise the saw is a good product. Here's mine on youtube: Makita LS1016L Miter Saw Dust

actually there are two models one with a 10" and one with a 12" blade. I'm going for the 12" for the 15" crosscut capacity

It's actually a 12" blade, not 10" as the guy in the video says. And yes, you can easily cut 2x6, 2x8, and 2x10 lumber.
