i have read that seyh samil had 4 sons, tow of them served in russian and 2 of them served in the Ottoman army. can someone explain why they served in the russian army? russians killed a lot of caucasian muslims and captured seyh samil.

The Turkic and Caucasian languages are of 2 different language families.Turkic being of Altaic and Caucasian of the Caucasian Languages.They might have borrowed some turkic words,but besides that they are 2 totally different language groups. Its like saying if Turkish speakers can fully understand Arabic, which is not true Turkish and Arabic are 2 totally different langs. of totally diff. lang. groups. Same with this.

It is a language family that originates from the Caucasus mountains and split up into Southern, North-eastern, and North Western Caucasian languages, and then from there splits into their own languages. And my friend, I did get this information from wikipedia, though i must warn not to trust Wikipedia completely ;)

Arabs are completely different from Persians . Persia was an ancient culture and the first super empire . Ofcourse I would be love to be associated with the Aryan Persians . But Arabs were a barbarian tribe for most of history . Their culture is made by copying from everyone , Persians , egyptians , sumerians and even jews . Arab and Arab speakers are completely different . Ask any Persian he can explain it to you better . English is spoken by almost everyone , it doesn't make everybody Anglo-Saxon .
