Spider mines don't hit "floating" units, this includes drones probes SCVs vultures and possibly archons as well but I don't think so.

No archons and darkarchons aren't affected because they are considered as 'Gods'. There are four categories in SC. Ground units, Air units, Workers and Gods. Archons and Dark Archons are in the Gods category.

Spider Mines can still damage those units, they just don't activate when those units pass over them.

Hovering units (SCVs, vultures, probes, archons, dark archons, and drones) do not trigger spider mines. In this case, gogo only moved SCVs and vultures up the ramp, with his tank staying on the low ground, away from the mines.

Why are the colors different than what the players see from their POV?

yuo can change your color in game by pressing shift+tab it just makes it easyer to spot enemy and your troups if the color are green and red

There's some option that allows them to see "Allied Colors" and "Enemy Colors" red and that ugly green color. For the players of course. For spectators, we see the colors as were assigned to them.
