@SootySparkleberry Rainbow Christmas Pantomime as this was taped on Christmas in 1987 so it would more than likely had been the Christmas Pantomime one which was shown
Wow, all my favorites together, Dennis, Rainbow, Sooty and films such as Diamonds On Wheels, Swiss Family Robinson, Dumbo, Alice In Wonderland, Ghostbusters and especially Bedknobs & Broomsticks. If only Children's ITV could still be like this today and not show all the meaningless crap of today. I was only 2 years old so I was way too small to pay attention to these brilliant things but I remember Bedknobs was taped for me and I'd watch it every day until late 1989. Please come back decent TV.
Wow, that's such a low-key clip of Ghostbusters, it looks like it's just three men walking around a library. Did the CITV editor not watch the film for longer than five minutes?
The version of Ghostbusters ITV transmitted was so heavily cut to make it 'suitable' for children (even though it was already innuendo and all).
Regarding the mention of Disney I recall that the channel's classic cartoons were pretty much from all that studio not to mention ITV would eventually do a Disney Club on Sunday mornings.
Brilliant upload. I still have that Rainbow Christmas Panto on Thames VHS somewhere. Also, spot Lisa Maxwell (DI Nixon from The Bill) presenting The Splash Gang.
They dont do this again sigh

Was CITV sponsored by Disney or something. There are at least 10 mentions of Disney in the first few minutes.
At 03:18... "There's lots of very poignant and funny moments, not least of all when a fire breaks out at the posh peoples home".
Oh good! Lets hope someone gets burnt alive or is severely disfigured.
Ghostbusters is a childrens film now (then)?
Wow. I remember Mr Horatio Knibbles but I had no idea what it was called until I saw this video. Even better, the whole film is on YouTube.
