I really liked you information on making Wedding Invitations, my daughter and I are currently working on making her invitations for her wedding for next October. You touched on some of the ideas we had only we are using embossing on her cards. Thanks sooooo much!
Hi there! Adobe Illustrator does have a bit of a learning curve - my husband is very adept at it, so he helped me a lot with this. I couldnt have done it without him. There are other design programs that are easier to use like Microsoft Publisher, its just not as flexible. And its only good for printing at home (which I was doing anyways). But Adobe Illustrator is a very good program, I would reccomend it if you have the time to learn it!
OMG they are soooo beautiful! I cant decide on my wedding colors. blue and rasberry pink look soooo beautiful but i have no idea what to do, im getting married next year in october. i still have time but geez theres SOOOO much to do! i absolutely LOVED ur invitations though! VERY BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you so much! Yes you definitely want to pick your colors out before anything else, cause everything kind of flows from there. You could do some really nice fall colors - Teal is a great color because really it goes with any season. When is your wedding? Congratulations!!!! SO EXCITING!
No, I got the clip art online from a website that sells clip art, I cannot remember the name of the site for the life of me. I just typed in google image search the design I was looking for, like "swirlys" or "damask" or whatever it is, and a bunch came up. Good luck with your search!
@dredice1908 The damask paper is printed, I got it from Michaels arts and crafts store, I had to buy the sheets individually, so I waited until they were on sale for %30 off. The printed part I did on the computer using adobe illustrator. Good luck!
Very pretty invitations. Congrats on your engagement. I am also in the process of making my own invitations/programs. Thank you so much for the great suggestions!
@opp62610 you are so welcome! I hope it was helpful :) sorry for the delayed reply, my life was crazy for the last 6 months!! Are the invites for your wedding? Congrats if they are, and when are you getting married?
Gorgeous! This helped alot! Did you go to a print shop to print on cardstock? Or did you use regular paper over cardstock to print?
