Okay, Final Fantasy VII is my all time favorite game and I would usually say it beats most games but Chrono Trigger is better. I can admit it. Everyone else should. I think the reason FF VII is my fav is just due to nostalgia as well as characters, storyline, gameplay, etc. Chrono Trigger though is beyond innovative, its fucking magical. Every JRPG fan should play this epic adventure.

the snes version pawns the psx version...hands down. i mean, those loading delays!!!...how could they fuck this so bad!!??...However the system files where you can collect pictures, info, and music was pretty awesome for us chrono trigger hardcore fans. the videos wheren't THAT good tough : I.

All in all, the best game/rpg/experience/script, storyline/MUSIC/etc/etc of all times. Its rich how this game pawns ff7 and all the ff hype....ROTFLMFAO

I think the best way to play Chrono Trigger is on the (PSP) snes emulator. Im agree with OSHIDesu, the snes rom weights about 4MB, the entire ISO weights about 600MB. Besides the snes rom doesnt load anything, the ISO does, the "now loading" can feel it between battles.

I completely agree. I remember when they first ported CT to the psx. I was really disappointed. The addition of the library was really nice for geeks like me, but the really cheap "DBZ" style animations didn't do the game any credit, and the load times completely killed the feel of the game for me. Seamless battles were what seperated CT from the FF series and the port killed that feeling.

I do agree that the loading did kill it for me...especially later areas in the game where you begin to encounter enemies every couple of steps.

The SNES version is about 2 MB, this one is about 600. The SNES version runs flawless. The only difference is that the SNES version has not got videos in it.

they actually do, wen a site gets 2 many hits they find it & upload viruses 2 it, uploading an eboot wit a virus on ur psp causes it to brick so b careful unless u have a pandoras battery

It's not about nintendo/sony, it's about the LONGEST, MOST UNFORGIVABLE LOAD TIMES IN HISTORY. Playing the PSX port would include those load times, but playing the emulated SNES version wouldn't.

Problem is no one can. Snestyl on psp runs the game extreme framerate problems, which imo makes it unplayable. That's why im considering emulating it this way via pops. Besides if it's running off memstick surely the load times will be decreased?

Are you sure about that? The load times likely resulted from data being streamed off of a disc. For an eboot, the data is coming straight off of the memory stick.

Even if it were that version, due to the fact that an eboot is contained on and that data is coming straight from a memory stick means that the data should load up fairly quickly.

Chrono Trigger was also realeased on the PSX, and the psp has a built in psx emulator so you can play games off the memory stick.
