  • I really, really hate price match at walmart. I think it's just the attitude of the people who work in the ones in my area. Have trouble every

    time.

  • I love the un-extreme approach :) Not a big fan of walmart. Long lines and bad customer service make it too much of a hastle. (At least in my area.) Maybe this could make the trip worth it :) Thanks hip2save!

  • As an employee of Walmart myself, I have discovered that other places have lower prices than walmart and they piss me off when you can only use one coupon per item. Price matching is nice, but I have used coupons at CVS and Walgreens and have gotten items cheaper there.

  • go to another Walmart with the coupon and use it there instead

  • I don't know how the people waiting in line will like me price matching everything I get. I can see alot of MAD faces. I get that when I take coupons. ugh.

  • And if the coupons do not match the items you are trying to buy I have an issue. 9 times out of 10 when that happens, the customer wants to argue about it even though they are in the wrong. If my register rejects your coupon and I see that it matches the purchase I will override it. If it doesn't match, don't get mad at me when I say no.

  • @fredloftonab thank you for this!! i work at walmart as well and it sux when people argue with you. but at the same time people are also dumb and dont read their coupons before they try and use them :( retail is hell, i tell ya! lol

  • @califrontiers if you think all male cashiers are going to have no issues with you using coupons I can tell you that you are absolutely wrong. I have no issues with a customer using 30 VALID coupons on their purchase as long as they are doing it responsibly. When I have people trying to use 30 coupons that have a 4 per transaction limit and want to break up their transactions, I'm going to have an issue.

  • I notice if you avoid the Walmart and Target women cashiers and take your coupons to the Walmart and Target male cashiers; they do not have a problem with coupons. They seem to love it and if an error occurs while scanning they will look at the coupon or call over the manager. In dealing with Walgreens and CVS the cashiers (no matter there gender) get excited for coupons. Cashiers need to read their corp. coupon policy before they become the coupon police.

  • I have never understood why some cashiers just don't try to scan the coupon first and if it doesn't go through THEN see what the problem is. It irritates me that some have to look at every single one, look at your items, then scan it. I would think if it scans it can be used, if it doesn't scan then there might be a problem. I had an issue with those body washes, I got two but she said I could only get two, it wouldn't allow me to get four. She didn't even try so I said whatever

  • @gapeach8600 I am a cashier and while I understand your sentiment but those coupons are much like a contract if you look at the fine print and it said to do it this way. I have to do it that way. (and also @deannavlogs If I made policy I wouldn't be on a register LOL Upper management makes the policy I don't) can you give an example of what coupon you used?

  • Walmart cashiers make up their own policy as they go

  • I have found that different WalMarts seem to have different rules even though they have a Q policy. I recently printed a Q for tape. You could print 2/person. I had 4 .. 2 in my name/2 in my hubby's name. The cashier said she could only take 1 Q because they had the same barcode. Normally that is true but these had our names printed on them. The Mgr told her to take them. Doesn't always go that smoothly though. Sometimes I feel like I'm talking them into taking a Q that they should take.

  • Okay First off LOL love your vids and im an extreme couponer and if you want i could send you (through youtube) my 87 up2u gum coupons because im not going to be using them.

  • i use the $1 off the UP2U gum all the time haha. $0.28 for gum is a steal for me!

  • i ordered a crunch wrap during that sale, and came home and opened it and the only thing on it was sour cream and lettuce :\

  • @CaseyMcLaughalot You're not any better. "she cant spell worth a damm"... It's always hilarious when people can't can't spell deride someone else's spelling ability. Frankly, her graceless spelling and your run-on sentences don't recommend either of you.

  • you are so sweet thank you

  • Gee, stuff is cheap in America. For that laundry detergent, here in Australia it would cost at least over $10.00.

  • where do you live cause my Boise location wont do overage.

  • awesome video, i hope u called that manager back and educated him. really i would call this manger;s manager!!! thanks for video!!!! ;)

  • verey very informative! thanks so much.what happened with the dial isuue?

  • you have tought me a lot in such a short video :) is that walmart in austin?

  • i bring the ads as well because i know how they are. however, what i do is i write a list of what i need from each store and the price as well as the sizes because i dont have time to search through the ads while shopping. usually walmart is less expensive to shop however, i have found just as you did with several items that isnt so for everything.

  • Love your video. Learned a great deal about shopping at Walmart. thankssss

  • Love it! This way is much easier than going store to store.

  • Omg is that your coffee in every segment? lol Love the vid!!!!

  • Thanks for the info!! I never knew that :)

  • Here's what's gonna happen. Walmart, target, onset, albertsons, etc.. Is going to change their policies so you are allowed only manufacturer's coupons printed by the manufacturer and no repeat coupons. Plus they are going to place a limit on the total number of coupons you can use in one trip. No multiple transactions to use more than the coupon limit.

  • @originalgrissel most cashiers who are not in their first couple weeks of the job do know the policies. When you bring us a copy of our own policies, you have already caused our opinion of you to be that you are a "know-it-all". Especially when you try to explain to us that we can ad match a Walgreens register reward. How would you like for one of us to come into your workplace and tell you what your company policies state?

  • Walmart does need more coupon training? Just this week I went and the cashier was nice but said he was poor in couponing training , so when he ran my coupons I explain what he had to do.

  • i love all your videos you are very very funny...and i have lerned a lot with your videos...It is my first time subscribing to anybody(I had some problems with my comp)

  • You should of Called!

  • I love your attitude! You handle yourselfwith class.

  • Hi Collin, I use 2 be a cashier, & the attitudes that you might get from them on coupons, is because of a few reasons. They don't really mind that you are getting something for free, (I love using coupons) its that the transaction is going to take longer, their going 2 have a ton of coupons stuffed in their draw, and they have to add up every coupon at the end of their shift 2 do the paper work and by that time they really just want 2 get home 2 destress. & heaven forbid some how they loose 1.

  • I ran out of space. lol. Loosing a coupon is like loosing money 2 the store. Their til won't be right & they can get written up for it. Also because the transaction takes longer, they could end up with a hugh line of ppl waiting...which means irritated ppl that take it out on the cashier. It is a very stressful job 2 have. & its common that a few times a week someone is extremely rude 2 the cashier. & they rarely know about couponing so they don't see it the way we do. otherwise they would b :)

  • @DrJubes No she got it with the money she saved from couponing :P

  • That's why I go to to Target!!

  • wow i thought suburbanites were a foreclosed on...

  • call me an idiot, but where do you get a sunday newspaper?

  • @TheJuicyLoo You made me laugh, lol. You get a Sunday newspaper on Sunday, and you can buy them at stores.

  • @TheJuicyLoo you can them anywhere. gas stations, you can call your local newspapers and specifically ask just for the sunday's paper to be delivered, and grocery stores. but you can only get them on sundays.

  • I'm a customer service manager for Walmart and found your video informative from a customer perspective. You taught me a little something about those coupons.

  • @Sklujan u are management at the most evil store in history

  • @Afroxec How is that?

  • What most of you dont realize is Shopping at walmart supports them to continue treating their employees like robots. (coming from a former walmart employee) the 14 percent less you get at walmart compared to other competitors prices is that the products are less because they dont pay their employees a living wage 20-30 percent less than the industry, therefore they have the budget to charge 14 percent less. Thats disgusting, and their clothes are purchased from third world countries!

  • Love to live in USA why cant we get that in UK???????????

  • my Wallyworld won't let us use comp ads with coupons, I would check with the store before I go and use this method

  • I love your videos. I really like walmart videos since I shop there all the time.

  • my friend recently had a problem at our walmart when she tried purchasing travel items. The cashier was rude and told her she couldn't use a coupon on travel items so ,like with you, the manager was called but she said that no wheres on the coupon did it she could only use it to purchase certain sizes, so she got it!

  • You should call 1-800-walmart!

  • Loved the video and please show more Walmart shopping!!!!!!! I am trying to learn Walmart

  • WOW I HAD NO PROBLEMS GETTING THE DIAL BODY WASH!!! THEY ALLOWED THE 1.03 OVERAGE FOR ME!!!

  • So just to be clear on this one, I have 6 coupons for 2 off on any tide detergent and my local Walmart has the tide travel size for .97, that means I can use the coupons towards the travel size and still make $6 overage?

  • @diagonza76 well im pretty sure you can unless it saids no trail/travel size`

  • Hi i like your videos im just about to start using coupons can you PLEASE help me out a bit more how do you buy large amounts when most coupons and stores state one per limit?

  • I loved your video I dont usually do price compare but now I think I will. I am so greatful for your video.

  • GET FREE PRODUCTS....youtube.com/watch?v=XGBzVnhtDro

  • I have a question about the travel size items you got: Given that you had a 2 dollar off dial coupon, wouldn't it have been a better deal to get the big bottle. Yes, you would still probably have to pay a little for it, but you easily get 5-10 times the amount of the product. Do you buy travel size items if you have a coupon for something you would otherwise not get or because you use them when you travel? Have been wondering about that, because I got free cereal at CVS, but it was only

  • a small box. I could have gotten a bigger box that was worth it more if I compare the price per ounce.

  • "....there's something about you getting something free or you getting something even more than free...that people don't like."

You're absolutely right. I had a Family Dollar store coupon for 2 12-pks of Coke for $5 and a manufacturer's coupon for $2/2. The cashier said I could only use 1 coupon. I explained their policy states otherwise. His argument? This would reduce them to almost free. (2 for $3. is free?) I had to whip out the policy I had with me. Only then did he agree to accept it.

  • Honestly sometimes I think it is because they are not getting it and you are! The "If I cant have it no one can" kind of thing hehe. It does get rather annoying that employees and even managers try to argue the policy. Hopefully my CVS trip today does not go that way... I have a feeling it will though.

  • do you price match at the register or do you have to go to customer service first?

  • I live in a small town in oklahoma where the only store we have is Walmart. I had a ad that said that the gilletee fustions proglide razors where 4.99 and I also had a 4.00 off coupon and they told me when i went to use the coupon that I couldnt price match and use a coupon on the same item. Wouldnt my store policy be the same as any other walmarts policy. I bout fed up with walmart, but i dont have any where else to shop.

  • @laceygaisford And you know the other thing some people have told me is their Office Depot/Staples/Office Max experinces are the same also because there isn't of of those stores around them so Staples won't PM or whatever store it is. Best Buy is also the same. There was an amaazing deal at Hhgregg but BB wouldn't PM because they were too far or didn't have an item in stock. They would actually call in a stock check to the competitor.Big headache. So if you think about it,it could always be worse.

  • @laceygaisford You know what sucks about this? It's the 'fair market' kind of technicality informal rule. If there's no competition, then they a lot of times they won't price match because there isn't competition in your area to go get it cheaper. So they think if you're forced to buy from them, then you'll buy it anyway because it would cost more to go buy somewhere else. This is why people do monthly trips and stock up. Sucks with the couponing because deals come and go weekly..

  • Great trip. What the Walmart Mgr said MADE NO SENSE TO ME! You did the right thing by leaving and doing your research. What site did you get the info from?

  • I tried to price match something at Walmart and they refused to do it. I had the ad and the Walmart coupon policy where it shows they do price match! They even have the stupid commercial all about it. The manager said no and would not budge even though I showed her the policy!

  • I thought you were going to say that you couldn't get any money back from the Dial coupon because of the fine print. I know some say,

"Redeemable up to the coupon value on actual purchase price. Cash difference, if any, between maximum discount and actual purchase price will not be refunded."

That is a quote from a Unilever coupon.(Pond's, Dove, Degree)

  • Id be printing what I found and taking that manager a coupon lesson in print....also, I would put a call into his DM...even though in your case it was just a .98c body wash....It probably happens Alot, and he really should know how to do his job. I really enjoy all of your posts!!! And I post them on our Facebook page "The Coupon Coffee Club" we love you there!! Come join us!

  • Great tips Collin! We had a similar trip at Walmart. We had overage & since our balance was down to $1 and we had one more $5 coupon the lady said she could not apply the coupon because we would be getting everything for free. I showed her the policy, she called her manager & was told we were correct. She was very upset we were getting mangoes, bananas & apples for free. After the manager walked away she tried to not give us the $4 back, the manager had to come over and re-open the drawer, crazy

  • u should get my mom into the "using cupons" habit lol she buys everything regular price and like even at the malls like for example charlotte russe (ma fav store) she goes there and buys stuff off the wall for regular price when there are the same exact replicas at like deb and other junior stores for cheaper prices

  • I LOVE UR OUTFIT! lol

  • @linaandayoosh Me too! The whole time I was thinking, what a cute outfit! :)

  • @mcg267 lol haha ikr my friend even said it was cute! lu lu luv it!

  • That's really funny about the Dial coupon, I used 9 at my Walmart and my cashier didn't even bat an eye. Saved 85% on my purchase :)

  • I can only assume that my local Walmart is accepting the Dial coupons for the travel size bottles because when I went in today to pick up a couple for myself, the bin was completely empty. Either that or someone just really likes that springwater body wash! :)

  • thanks for sharing that problem you had because I had that problem with the travel size tide using my 1.00 off tide with no size restrictions walmart and target wouldn't let me use it so I was nervous to use the dial coupon to get the travel size dial soap

  • walmarts is a HOT MESS.COM they dont have a glue

  • I had almost the same problem with that coupon. I called the the corporate office and they called the store manager to tell him that I was able to use the dial coupon. So I returned to the store and used me coupons.

  • thats funny you go girl

  • I always have issues at Walmart. Their CSMs in my store always have different stories. Its frustrating so I hardly ever shop there anymore. There coupon policy was changing every week and I was being treated like a criminal. There are many other stores who are understanding.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos - I wish there was one everyday!

Please try to film if possible next adventure with that Dial coupon, maybe with hidden camera, I wonder what they'll say

  • I'd love to see a sequel to this as well, did it work the next time you tried it? Thanks for all the coupon help!

  • I was waiting to see if u would mention ad match then stack with a manufacturer coupon. Is that covered in the ad match policy? I am still fighting with my walmart, they keep telling me i can't do both, i have to choose the price match or the coupon.

  • It seemed to be very quiet in your Walmart. Whenever I go there's always kids schreeching, screaming or wailing. I need an aspirin when I leave- ha ha.......

  • Thank you very much for taking the time to research and letting us know the outcome. I live your videos!

  • What an awesome video, thanks for showing "real" couponing.

  • I have never heard of the 1/100 lol wow that is amazing! Good to know thanks! I used my (18) dial coupons with no problem at one of my local Walmarts, but I did have a problem at Target today where I had to walk away because she was just being rude. It just happens sometimes that way :) you did a great job!

  • I usually call 1-800 WALMART IF I HAVE A PROBLEM. SOMETIMES i GET A $10 TO $20 GIFT CARD FOR MY TROUBLE.

  • @easymoneynch wow, really???? I wish they would pay me for troubles too.. LOL!

I will try my luck with that coupon next week,

  • Collin - You're dress is soooo cute!!!! Where is it from? And...love the boots

  • First of all you did a great job. Good format and I'm soooo glad you didn't buy 30,40, 100 etc of each item. The EC TV show annoys the crud out of me, so I quit watching it after 2 tries.

I am surprised, though that you didn't tell folks to print a copy of WMs coupon policy from their site to take with, in case of disputes.

Been couponing 30 yrs & have never heard the 1/100 thing.\

I'm guessing when WM corp sees this, the mgr is going to get raked over some 'hot' coals.

    Anyway BIG THUMBS UP!

  • @kathyctbc She tells people all the time to print and bring a store's coupon policy. :) She got me into couponing in the first place. She's very thorough, but not in a confusing way.

  • @mcg267 All the time and in this video is not the same thing.

Lots of new people might be looking at this one for the 1st time.

If they are new to couponing they might not know.

And she didn't whip it out this time, so how would a new person know to do that?

I said she did a good job, just not perfect.

  • It's pretty much common sense.

  • my wal-mart keeps a set of all the ads from the sunday paper hanging by the registers say they have them if you need to price match

  • Despite Wal-Mart's much-touted new coupon policy, it is STILL such a pain to use coupons there! The majority of clerks I have are coupon Nazi's and always make such a stink about it!

  • GREAT info! Thanks

  • I got my dial sample bottles with no problems. That was so weird I don't blame you for walking off though.

  • i used the same coupon today at walmart with no problem but that was some good info love your channel

  • Hi. I ended up using that Dial coupon for the smallest Dial lotion Walmart had. It's not in the travel section but by the normal sized lotions. It was only $1.97 so it was free with the coupon. :) and it was a pretty big bottle considering it was the smallest one.

  • Please go back and let us know how it goes :)

  • My Walmart wants you to bring in the whole multi page paper with the match deal. They said they need to see the date on them

  • hey Collin, why didnt you use the coupon on the dial nutriskin lotion??..the smaller ones are 1.97..i thought that was a better deal if you are using it at Walmart instead of WAGS this week..i guess it is more overage if you do it the other way..thanks for all you do

  • Which site did you find that info on about the 1/100 thing on the coupons? I would love to have a copy if that with me just in case I run to that problem. I love this video. Thank you. :-)

  • Oh I think you should print that and mail it to him. DO IT DO IT DO IT. I just hate when the managers find a reason even if its sounds like they made it up themselves. Great video!

  • I had the same problem with the Dial body wash today but they ended up giving it to me!

  • love your videos, getting taco bell today and you tell that manager ! :)

  • I only found your videos a few days ago and I've already watched them all! I think you're absolutely fantastic. Its great to see someone so genuine and generous, encouraging others to share the wealth (:
