The only reason Avatar is popular is because of it's special effects. The story was simple, dull and unoriginal, Avatar had a very obvious anti military, echo freindly political message. Star Wars had a better, more universal story. Avatar is just CGI diarrhea.

Awesome video! I totally loved it, completely epic! I think Avatar is a fantastic movie, better than The Pantom Menace and Attack of the clones. But of course, the original Star Wars trilogy and the fantastic, epic Revenge of the Sith, are far better than Avatar. Just my humble opinion.

@Ilubatar100 To call Star Wars original I really need to stretch the boundries of that term. While the story was fairly original pretty much every visual shot in the first Star Wars trilogy (the good one) was "borrowed" to a level (some directly taken from other films). Avatar has a story done over and over again since Dances with Wolves. But when it comes to visuals Avatar is probably one of the most original films ever made. I will always love Star Wars more but not because of its originality.

@vlad007001 I totally find that funny. What they could have done better with the plot is to make it more creative and awesome.

Star Wars prequels could view Anakin's experiences that are comparable to Luke's only he makes the wrong choices instead of the right choices. Palpatine's ingenious plan to conquer the galaxy through clone wars and conspiracy fills the background entirely.

Avatar could have been nothing more than an adventure on a primitive planet unknown to any starfleet.
