As far as I am concerned since I am Greek by ethnicity, I also regard my European brothers and sisters as Greek too. We are the western world (including Japan too) & all refined Greeks. Western Way is the Greek Way. I don't think anyone tries to edit Greeks out of history, especially the French. I note that French intellectuals always express their admiration and gratitude for greek philosophy. And we also should take into consideration that there has been a great boost of scientific progress with huge consequences on modern world after the Renaisance,where Greeks did not contribute to thanks to the imposed Ottoman backwardness. Only in the last 2 centuries have we started to produce great minds again
with every respect the facts of the past say otherwise. That is not to say the French etc are the same because this is historical revisionism of the past. The French, Italians, Germans etc are wonderful people who have mutually felt respect for Greece.
Well if the other Bulgarians from the name hijacking north would describe them selfs as Bulgarians too instead of falsifying history, things would go better for the ethnic Bulgarians who live in Greece. I saw no discrimination towards Bulgarians on Crete near Hania in 2000
Ethnic minorities like the Albanians who come to Greece over the last 20 years? Once the economic situation in Albania will improve most will go back to Albania and Macedonians are no minority in Greece neither Attica Greeks or Cretans.

@ Vard2, i fully comprehend your statement regarding the Albanians and i tend to agree with you, as for the "Macedonians", when i say that i mean the Slavic Bulgarians from the region of Macedonia who still do have a presence in Greece and they are acknowledged by the Hellenic government, however, i do feel that Greece must do a little more to ensure they enjoy equality with its fellow Greek citizens, i may be wrong, but i speak as a descendant of Bulgarians from the Greek region of Macedonia.
