In the remastered version it's in F (I think)

And in this they're playing in D (I think)

Wonder why they keep changing it

  • THIS SONG KILLS EVERYTHING ELSE

i am agree with junichi84 for the attitude of GEORDIE !! it's a great great guitarist !!

  • This opening sounds like Banshee song on Juju.MONITOR !!!! KillingJoke rules.only at the very begining rythm of bass if slowed down. Rest of song song itself actually completely diff.~

  • Thundering fucking insanity. Different class.

  • I think the drum set needs more Tom-Toms.

  • -Diana??!!! hahahaha! -That "conspiracy" is a bit TOO close too home....Like coke, booze and self-delusion.

  • Maybe Di but Kelly? no explained that !

  • Reference to Grace Kelly, famous US actress, Princess of Monaco, &tc and also a very popular subject among many UK Punk bands.

  • @crispian67

Heh, not quite. Actually in reference to Dr David Kelly, a UK Ministry of Defence scientist who was involved in the case for Iraq's WMD's. He was found dead after being summoned to give evidence at the official inquiry, officially declared as suicide. Many people suspect foul play.....

  • @JJ62 @JJ62 Hey JJ62! Of course you're spot on! As a Brit expat in Oz I don't get much UK news tho I did hear and read about Dr Kelly (name's mention of which I should've noticed Jaz talkin' bout~Duh!) during the WMD in Iraq enquiry . I was a teen during Killing Joke's heyday when "the Wait" was released, which is still as awesome today as it was listening to back then. During that time there really was a Punk/Post-Punk obsession with the tragically deceased Princess of Monaco, Grace Kelly.

  • I like the new metally punch to this song, better than the old version, and metallicas. I also like the way Geordie can play a guitar without it having to be all pointy and black, just a good guitar.

  • Follow the leaders!

  • Asteroid. Off the 2003 albulm.

  • One of Metallicas favorite bands

  • the very end of Asteroid

  • killing joke the rules punk rock

  • What a fuck.....

    Powerfulllllllll.....

    Great Band!!!!

  • I didn't know a Baseball Fury was the singer for Killing Joke...

Massive song that makes more sense with each day- true genius!

  • thats funny but i dont think anyone else will get it

  • Some people believe that Jesuit General Peter Hans Kolvenbach ordered the death of Princess Diana.

  • Kolvenhoof!

  • it always looks like geordie is miming. Any other guitarist would have to put in loads more effort to get that sound. Fan bloody tastic show

  • This track is to be carved on the moon as memorial stuff! Awesome.

  • agree

  • Jaz Coleman is one of the few people (Iggy Pop,Steve Albini and Nick Cave as well) who look cooler as they get older.

  • ok then i will make a note of that in my notebook

  • I noticed with my ears!

  • Hell Yeeeaaaaah - I was in that video shouting like a c*nt!! X-D

  • This is good good stuff!!!!! RIP Raven

  • Driving down from west yorkshire on oct4 to see.. The Greatest band that ever roamed the Universe!

Nice one vendex77, could not have put it better myself.

  • The forum , oct, both nights , The place will be demolished, by the most powerful band in the world, let the drill bit pierce your skull

  • Can't wait for the gatherings on the 3rd and 4th of October. Going to see Killing Joke at the Forum both nights! Hopefully they'll play both these songs - The Wait on Friday (Killing Joke (1980) and What's THIS for gig) and White Out on the Saturday (Pandemonium and singles gig). I'm waiting Jaz - I'm waiting for you to sonically assault me >:-D

  • I cant wait either. RIP Raven.

  • the chorus is awesome....sonic!!!

  • Look at his eyes 3:30-3:31.

  • Many of us waiting Jaz, and waiting for more to ask the questions and to demand answers.

    Killing Joke Forever !!!!

  • this is bad ass !

  • "The Joke" shows it's greatness of here.

Bloody brilliant, Jaz Coleman still on the edge and Paul Raven (R.I.P)banging to the sound of his own bass.

The biggest "freak" (in a good way) is Geordie here. I mean look at the man. No big tattoos or warpaint on his face, simple shirt and cap, cool attitude, almost doesn't move a face muscle, but pulls out the hardest metal and rock riffs out of his guitar like it's nothing. Respect Geordie!!!!Respect.

  • Killing Joke can still rock after all these years!

  • Fucking Brilliant! Thanks for posting! Where is this version from, and what year was it?

  • Shepheards Bush Empire 2005

    Available on DVD

  • Thanks.

  • The Wait , what an awesome track.

    Great Live band.

  • Whoa Jaz, mate! Get some protection, soon, pal! We don't want to lose you! But, keep on asking!

  • thankz for the good work
