  • Looked on the AM website and couldn't find the Hypercoated FR500's, are these the Chrome, Anthracite, or Black-Chrome ones?

  • @gsiggs they are indeed hypercoated. american muscle is one street over from me about a mile away. I checked the site and it looks like they dont have any in stock so u should call them to see whats up. Heres a link where they sold all 4 with tires and there is even a picture of my car in customer rides. Call and find out whats up

  • @shortthrow50

not letting me put link sorry dude

  • i have h&r ss. you think another coil would be to low? i also got 305 35 18 tires. u think it will rub??

  • @kmacho714 i think that if another coil were cut that it MAY rub but not 100 percent sure. im in the same boat. Another coil will drop at least a half inch maybe a tad more. i think that cutting a half coil may be perfect but as it stands now, my exhaust flange drags on everything. H&R ss i think may be lower in stock form as what i started out with "sports"

  • @shortthrow50 did u feel any differences after you cut it?

  • @kmacho714 yeah. the ride is stiff as hell. not good if you drive the car everyday

  • @kmacho714 i think if you roll your fenders youll be fine, just rent the tool!

  • @Mrgearhed i just put some 305 35 18 kumho. they fit awesome. BUT im selling my car

  • looks so fucking nice, i also have the fr500's love the way the 285's stick out in the back, looks great, love the mineral grey as well, the most beautiful color offered from the factory

  • Hey mr shortthrow how many inches is your car lowered?? And what kind of springs you used cause it looks damn good!!!!

  • @9mustangmartinez hey dude. its lowered a little over 2 inches with h&r sport springs with one full coil cut off all four springs. To cut the springs, i used my hand held grinder with a cut off wheel installed on it. thank you

  • Don't fake the funk bro. Those are replica wheels. Car looks though, but real FR500s. Have ford logo on lip

  • @whtecivic was not trying to pass them off as ford racing fr500's. They are fr500 replicas from americanmuscle which is a mile down the road from me which most people buy to save a hundred bucks. I did not put "ford racing" fr500 wheels in my titlle. Does not bother me that they are replicas becuase we are talking about a 7 thousand dollar car.

  • sexy !

  • Can i ask how much you lowered the car front and back? Im about to get the same size wheel and tire package myself, And was wondering. As im going to be adding a lowering kit to my purchase as well. Thanks for the reply. Awesome car btw.

  • @ownTer I lowered the car with h&r sport springs but only got about 1 inch drop. I wanted lower so i pulled the springs back out and cut a full coil off of each spring with my grinder. This gave me about 2 inch drop all around. The car measures 25 and a half inches up front from the fender to the pavement and 26 and a half in the back

  • @shortthrow50 Thanks a lot for the quick reply man. How is the ride with the cut springs? I know you didnt cut much, but other than a more ridged ride. How is it. ...again....sweet ride

  • NICE!! im getting the same rims on my thunderbird

  • nice car brother congrats ,i want one

  • @themexikan1000 hey thanks bro

  • Super nice ride!

  • SICK ASS CAR!!! Great job on it....classy yet muscular mustang!!

  • @JEMANF thanks!

  • is it lowered

  • @MustangBoyz150 yeah lowered with hr sport springs plus a full coil chopped off on each corner. over 2 inch drop

  • dude really nice car ... how much if you had to let it go with no feeling just for what its worth and i can tell you love your car

  • @MrJasongreen71 honestly, i would probably let it go for 10k. doubt anyone would pay that so i guess its stuck with me haha .thanks man

  • Nice GT, but are those deep dish in the back? I can't tell with you filming like Michael J Fox and all..

  • @MysticDMBherb yeah sorry about the shaky filming. Some else said something about that on here a while back. I dont know what my problem is. anyway, yeah the rims are deep dish in the back

  • Again, I have to tell you how much I love the look of your car! Check out my updated Bullitt video...lowered, wheels, exhaust!

  • @OhYeahAboutThat hey thanks man. on my way to check yours out again!

  • very clean. stance is just right too.

  • so you ever curb your chin spoiler? and how is the speed bumps? im thinking of dropping my 02gt in this color but thats what im worried about. and how would stock 17" bullit wheels look dropped. i love the look of them now but just want to know if they will look just as good when dropped.

  • intially with the h&r's, it dropped almost an inch. I took my lowering springs out and took my grinder and cut a full coil off of each spring to give it the drop it has now. my car dropped a little over 2 inches. So in order to do this, your gonna have to chop those eibachs in the same fashion. Be warned, your right will be stiff as hell and i wouldnt recomend doing that to a daily driver car. I think you could get this drop comfortably with coil overs but they cost a few bucks

  • how much is this car lowered... i think I'm going to get the eibach pro kit with sway bars/ struts/ shocks/ springs that lowers it 1.1" and add the same font spoiler lip and was hoping your lowering kit was around the drop

    please lmk

  • Looks... expensive!

  • I just had sex with your stang........sorry?

  • I have the same ride man. Right now it is at the Mustang Shop and has been for about a month. Getting a new rotating assembly, porting and polishing the heads, installing a Procharger D1 new bumper, hood and some other stuff. I have been looking at these rims on American Muslce and couldn't decide whether not to get them. After seeing your video I have decided. They look great!!!

  • @graffix3001 would love to see the finished product on video bro!

  • @shortthrow50 I will definitely make some videos when its done. I can't wait. You never know how much you like your car until you don't have it.

  • wow this color looks so hot on this car. Hey bro could you please give me the color code you have on this beuty. THANKS!!!

  • @kool994 I'm pretty sure its TK.

  • Comment removed

  • Damn this pony is sooooo sick... Fuck that the. Stock spoiler is bad ass too

  • @SlickTexan21 hey thanks buddy!

  • looks incredibl, if you took off the spoiler it would be perfect!

  • That looks incredibly low compared to my HR supersport springs, how is the ride quality? My ride quality was completely terrible, even on small cracks in the road would create a harsh "thunk" sound/feeling. I did all supporting mods too: steeda x-2 balljoints/bumpsteer kit, adjustable tie-rod ends, caster/camber plates, brand new shocks..

What did you install when dropping the car?

  • @ShaneRaweewon The ride quality is harsh. I cut a coil off of each HR spring to make it even lower. The only other mod i did was put some new shocks on the rear becuase the old ones were bouncing. I dont recomend this setup on a daily driven car. This car only comes out of the garage probably once a month for a little cruise

  • @shortthrow50 Thanks man, yeah the supersports itself were incredibly harsh. I can't imagine how harsh it would be cutting a coil off of them haha... I put them on my daily driven 2000 stang and it felt like the roads were tearing it apart.. for my 2001 I think I'm going to go with coil overs. Btw my 01 stang is mineral grey too, yours looks great

  • BONER ALERT! BONER ALERT!

  • What kind of rims?

  • @JEFFREY2817 fr500

  • @JEFFREY2817 read the title.....

  • @TheZman77 that wasn't on there when i watched the video...

  • wow .. great looking car , rims look great on it

  • Wow FR500's look great on the gray Mustangs. I may get them for my DSG Mach

  • Your car is beautiful and the wheels set it off just right!

  • awesome!

  • did u need spacers for the drop? i got 18" fr500s too and i wanna drop it but im worried the wheels will get tucked under the fender lol

    very nice car

  • @patrickpp14 thanks man. no spacers were needed and no rubbing

  • @shortthrow50 wow thats sick. well it looks sick as hell man keep it up

  • @lilsk8r888 thats a tuff call with that color. being since its a little darker, personally i would go with the chrome for a high shine

  • @lilsk8r888 i looked at the chrome and I really like the chrome. However, i feel the chrome would have been too much with the color of the car so the hypercoats are a happy medium. You wont be dissapointed with the hypercoats on the mineral grey stang you have. I always keep a fresh coat of wax on the rims so they are protected from the brake dust.

  • @lilsk8r888 they are indeed hypercoat. i live 5 miles from american muscle and i picked them up in person. I do put car wax on them so maybe it brings out the shine more. they definatly arent chrome

  • Beautiful MG GT!

I haven't seen hypercoated FR500s on a mineral grey yet.

    Absolutely gorgeous.

  • did you have any trouble with the springs?

  • That's beautiful!

  • how much is it dropped total?

  • beautiful car what exhuast are you running on it

  • @c0p555 thanks. flowmaster american thunder catback. rest of the exhaust is stock

  • Maaaaad props on this beauty!! I'm in love with your GT.I own one as well, and she's nowhere close to be this gorgeous.she was neglected by her previous owner, but I'm gonna give her all the love she deserves :) anyways,i love how simple and clean yours is.no need for nothing extravagant, and that's how I want mine to be. What kinda springs you got on her?

  • @Hayabusagsxr1300 thanks man. i have h&r sport springs but i also cut one full coil off all four springs to lower it even more. i reused all the rubber isolators as well

  • ..... WOW! THAT is FREAKIN' Gorgeous!!!

  • love it

  • what kind of lip is that on the front bumper, i want one. and sick gt bro

  • @gabem919 Mach1 spoiler

  • Are those deep dish in the rear?

  • @Joshtb22 yeah, deep dish in the rear and flush up front

  • @Joshtb22 yeah, deep dish in the rear and flush up front

  • @shortthrow50 Where did you purchase them?

  • two suggestions dude. get a shorty antena and get rid of the spoiler. then youll be done

  • clean gt man! looks good

  • jajaja alright bro, im going for 18th then, u live in miami by any chance?

  • @habana305 nah. i live in PA bro. My car is from there though beleive it or not. I have a friend that owns a tiity bar down there

  • @shortthrow50 stang looks sharp.....I think a shaker hood would make a nice complete look. btw I also live in PA and go to shows all the time. The season is here, I'll keep my eye open for your car at the cruises

  • @gambietti thanks man. i would like a shaker but i have to get some 3.73's for this thing first. Coming from a 347 stroker stang to this, car feels like a dog. What is the stock gears in this car? 3.27?

  • @shortthrow50 I do not think you even have 327s.....it may be 308s. Consider motive 390s if you are going to keep it n/a. If you go with a blower, stay with 373s

  • @gambietti I just had 4.10's installed yesterday. i shoulda asked the guy what the stock gears were in the car. This car wont see any blower or turbo. The 410's feel really good in this car.

  • @shortthrow50 same here, just love the feel of it. Took some time to get used to them at first

  • jajaja alright bro, im going for 18th then, u live in miami by any cance?

  • hey nice mustang brother, i have one same year and im planing on buying the same rims, but i dont know if to get them 17x9 in the front and 17x1.5 in the back, or 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the rear... mine is low too, what size do you have on?

  • @habana305 hey thanks man. I have the 18x9 up front and 18x10 in the rear. I wish they made them with 10.5 in the rear. I have seen one stang before with the 17 inch fr500's. I really wasnt crazy avout how they looked. With this setup and as low as my car is, my exhaust flange where the cats meet the flowmasters, sits about 2 inch off the ground. I have to map my routes out when i go out for a weekend cruise. 17's would have my car shooting sparks

  • question. does ur tires rub on fenders? what kind of springs u got? stang looks sick

  • @kmacho714 Surprisingly the tires dont rub at all even on sharp turns. Springs are H&R sport springs and with one full coil cut off on all 4corners. thanks for the comment

  • @shortthrow50 wow nice but i mean like on the rear fenders. i have hr ss on mines and sits really low. and im thinking on either 18x10 or 17x10.5 . im wondering if i need to roll my myfenders

  • @kmacho714 oh. I dont think you will need to roll your fenders. i have had it jack up pretty high on one side up in the front and the tire was tucked up in the fender on the one side in the rear. I suppose i could look out in the garage later to see if it clears the inside of the rear fender.

  • @shortthrow50 can u please check on that. im worring that if i have some passagers on back. that my tires are going to be all messed up with my fenders. i love the look of 18's. they look sweet on your car. but u have 285's i really want 305's

  • @kmacho714 I was wrong. You will need to roll your fenders if you plan on riding with passengers in the rear . Even with my tires. I do plan on cutting some more coil to lower even more but in your case, I dont know what to tell you. I have 2 other vehicles i drive primarily and never once have i put anyone in the back seats. Thats a tough call for you bro

  • @shortthrow50 i heard that people have more problems wih 18x10 than 17x10.5 . ill probably roll them with a bat lmao.im thinking on either on black 03 cobras 17x10.5 or black 18x10 saleens. idk man. i wanna be able to have passengers on back

  • @shortthrow50 and yeah my mustang its my daily driver lol

  • Love those fr500's, was thinking about putting them on my 02 Mineral gray GT. I swear my car looks just like yours, now I'm going to pick a different wheel !! haha.

  • I love those wheels...I wonder how they would look on my Bullitt? Check out my vids and give me your opinion!

  • @OhYeahAboutThat I looked at your vids dude. I love bullit stangs and I wouldnt change a thing. The fr500's would look good as hell on there just as on any 99-04 stang but I would have to think really hard about changing the flavor on the car you have. The bullit is rare in my eyes. I live in PA and never see them. I used to have a 03 cobra years ago and I thought it was rare until I saw one at least twice a month.

  • @shortthrow50 thanks for the comments! I know what you mean about keeping the "Bullitt" look, but I still REALLY like those FR500 wheels. I just added a FR500 steering wheel to my car and it's awesome!!

  • my favorite wheels on that year stang...cant wait to get a bullitt

  • Very nice car,

but man, you're shaking the camera like the old grandpa ;)

  • @victortest89 Thanks. sorry about the camera. Its one of those Flip minoHD cameras. Its really small and doesnt really stabilize the image well. I do smoke and drink alot so I think years of doing that is taking its toll on my steadiness as well.

  • looks great. What size tires in the back?

  • @SoCalJohnston Thanks. After multiple requests, i finally went out and checked. 18x10 rims 285/35/18 goodyear F1's in the rear. up front i have 18x9 265/35/18 Fuzions

  • @shortthrow50 nice man. Idk what I wanna run on mine. Im thinking about going to 18's instead of 17s

  • @SoCalJohnston If you go with fr500's, go with 18's. I saw a stang with the 17's and with that particular rim, it doesnt look all that good. The person with the 17's even regretted it. I know its all preference but the majority go with 18's

  • Man i love ur mustang!

  • sizes? 18s obviously.. how wide f&r?

  • @danimal511 18x10 in the rear and 18x9 up front. I forget what tire sizes i have on there. I can go to garage and look later. Shes under the car cover for the winter

  • Not blowing smoke but one of the best looking new edges i`ve saw

  • @leonardbullhock thanks bro

  • omg i love this color soo much i was looking for the name soo i can get MY stang repainted

  • nice mustang!!!! what is the offset of the rims???

  • love fr500 they look good on mustangs n crown vic intercepts

  • verry nice..I want my mustang that color

  • did you change the caster's??

  • @3BEEPS no. I never even got it aligned afterwards. The steering wheel is straight and she drives straight with no pull or uneven tire wear. I dont drive the car much at all beucase its pretty much a garage queen. I would recomend an alignment to anyone else but i dont really care. Also, It would be interesting to see if the car would fall into spec without aftermarket caster /camber plates.

  • what did you do to drop it?

  • @3BEEPS i took some h&r sport springs and cut a full coil off the top of each one with my grinder.

  • @shortthrow50 very good i dean and save u a ton

  • I love you car! I have a mineral Grey 02 GT also. I was going to the the Black Chrome FR500 Wheels but i could afford them lol. Yours looks really clean. I want the suspension set up you have. can you give me all the detailed specs on whats on it and what you did to it to get it like that? thanks!

    -Fellow Stang owner

  • looks good!!

  • Wow she is very sexy! I would date her. Lol Mineral Grey and Dark Shadow Grey are the best colors in these cars. Beautiful

  • I like the black FR500's with the chrome lip which i will get for my stang in the near future i have the grey ones with the chrome lip on it now

  • damm thats a good looking ride

  • damm thas a bad ass mustang

  • BEAUTIFULL <3

  • are those chrome or anthracite? and im about to get the black 18x9's and 18x10's for my 04 silver metallic Gt..beautiful car man

  • @coolguy3432 thanks bro! the finish on my rims are called "Hypercoated". Almost like an in between of the 2 finishes u mentioned

  • what percent tint is that? very dark, but done nicely.

  • @volp70 i had 20 percent done. I agree that it looks much darker. perhaps its becuase i had a strip done on the windsheild too. I also had my mountaineer done with same tint and doesnt appear as dark. honestly, i wish i woulda just had 5 percent limo done

  • @shortthrow50 yeah, it's nice. BTW what suspension set up are you running? It's the perfect stance....haha.

  • @volp70 Thanks dude. I have h&r "sport" springs (not super sports) with all iso's in and i personally cut one full coil off each spring on all 4 springs as well with a grinder. They dont make a spring to lower a mustang as low as i like it without removing iso's. This is my 3rd stand where i had to do this. Sure it makes the car ride stiff as hell but as you may already know, you have to sacrifice comfort for looks. Also the exhaust drags on the slightest of bumps lol

  • @lilsk8r888 ill have to double check foryou tomorrow but i beleive i have 265 35 18 up front and 285 35 18 in the rear. I dont want to go to much wider in the rear becuse i fear it maybe a taller tire with the less stretch

  • what kind of lowering springs u got on that beast

  • @boomsrme

H&R "sport" springs with one full coil cut on all 4 corners

  • beautiful stang bro

  • thanks guys. ill check out your gt jefe. I was tossing around the idea of throwing a 03 cobra bumper on the front becuase im not a fan of the sloped up front bumper on the gt. What do you think?

  • @shortthrow50

You know I was thinking of doing it to. But i dirint do it only bacause of the ''Thats Not A COBRA'' you know. I went for the Chin Spoiler of the MACH.

That looks nice on all GT'S.

  • @jefekm1 yeah, ill probably just leave it as is at this point

  • Very nice MUSTANG, Mint Garage Condition. I have the 18x9 FR500 Chrome on mine. Look at my video, its uner "2000 Mustang AKA Keyra"

  • that's a nice clean gt :)
