I know it all has to do with copyrights & licensing but i wish the Genesis versions of ToeJam & Earl, Road Rash series, NBA Jam series, Street Fighter series, Mortal Kombat series, TMNT series, Eternal Champions, Primal Rage, and Aladdin would've made it. those are Genesis essentials that should rightfully be here but once again stupid copyrights & licensing have to ruin everything for us...
This is a great collection. finally having all 3 Streets of Rage titles on one disc is worth admission alone, since Sega dropped them from from the US version of Sonic Gems Collection released in 2005 due to wanting a strict family friendly E rating. 49 games for $30 (in my case $20) is a steal. all that aside there is absolutly no excuse for them not including the Lock-On for Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Knuckles in Sonic 2, and Blue Sphere. they did'nt even include a DLC patch for it. it's nonsense...
I love this collection alot.I just got it today. But I hate that Michael Jackson's Moonwalker,Sonic CD,Knuckles Chaotix and Gunstar Heroes are not on the compolation and you cant lock on Sonic 3 and Knuckles. But this compolation is well worth it just for many classics.I love Phantasy Star,Streets of Rage 2,Zaxxon,Alien Solider,Sonic 3 and Alex Kidd as well.Just buy this compolation.
well if thats what you want then just wait a couple of weeks until the sega collection #2 comes out on XBLa. If you buy Sonic and Knuckles and you already have Sonic 2 or 3 (also the XBLa releases) then you can play either of those with the lock on. Thats what I'm waiting for
Dang I need to go get this! I got a Sega Genesis when I was 3 years old and played the poo out of it. Just wish this had online play and some more games, I would've loved to see Rampart for one. Oh well, still looks like a great collection!!
wtf man , street fighter - capcom , and if u aint noticed its a SEGA genesis with SEGA games , y wud capcom b there ......... altho a capcom collection wud b gud
Earthworm jim isn't owned by Sega, it was I belvie owned by interplay who I'm sure(if they did produce EWJ) would be more than happy to sell it to sega like they did for Bethesda with Fallout
i would have liked to see different games on here if you played the first one on ps2 and xbox youll see its basically the same im disappointed in this.
I bought it yesterday and I love it so much! Lot of games who I didn't know in the past and I appreciate. The archivements and unlockables games and interview make me long time to play it. Very nice compilation!
"If you don't love it, you ... must be gay or something."
Hahaha :)
That's the best line I've ever heard in a review (although I'm aware this is not a review). Anyway, yeah I'd pay madly for a SNES compilation, but Nintendo definitely won't let that happen on the 360 and PS3...
If you have your system hooked up to an HDTVv with component cables or HDMI, you can press SELECT during gameplay, choose Video, then press L1/RT to switch to 16:9 mode. You can also stretch the window by using the control stick on that menu.
Yeah but, Nintendo owns a lot of copyrights on a LOOOOOOOOOOOT of amazing SNES titles, I wouldn't say no to an RPG Collection though, SquareEnix owns most of the good stuff ;) And we could probably get a translated version of Bahamut Lagoon, who knows really?
Well, Nintendo already did something like this once with Super Mario Allstars, then they never really touched on making collections again. Since Sega is no longer a competitive company, it can now get away with releasing big collections like this.
Actually Nintendo did make a few collections after All-Stars. The first one was "The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition" for the Game Cube which includes 2 NES Zelda games, 2 N64 Zelda games and a Wind Waker demo. A third collection Nintendo had recently released was the Game & Watch Collection for the Nintendo DS; however, you had to be a Club Nintendo member and had the required points to get the game. I also believe Nintendo released a Puzzle Collection title as well for the GameCube.
Good job on the first impressions, one thing though, there is nothing online, not even leader boards, though I wish there would of been leader boards...but no leader boards...

In fact, the games do not look like they were made out of pixels but out of paint! That is just how awesome smoothing is.

I know, but all of these games were not made by third-party companies, only SEGA. I wished, though, that SEGA would have included "The Ooze."

It's odd, that game was on Sonic Mega Collection +, so I can't see why it isn't on here.
