  • I guess we got left right at the station. Maybe someday Black Christians will catch up to South Africa, Catholic Hispanics will catch up to Spain, Mormons will catch up to um.. reconnect with their founders with two moms and the state of California will catch up to Iowa.

  • This is a Lose Lose Decision either way. If Prop 8 is overturned you will have people protest and riot and if it is not overturned you will have the same thing.

FUCK ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO THINK PROTESTS AND VIOLENCE IS THE ANSWER!!!

  • tvkid9879 - I welcome open and thoughtful comments, but I don't appreciate profane and disrespectful messages.

  • long beach!

  • This video was very well done. Thank you for posting this.

  • *sigh*

im not entirely out, but tomorrow night, i will be standing in santa ana. and i will celebrate or i will protest, but the world will here : )

    thanks for posting this

  • Right on Sean! Great Video! I will be there to either celebrate or protest in Santa Ana, California! EQUALITY FOR ALL!

  • Thanks for this video !!!! Greetings from Belgium, and we pray for equality-decision by the court of California.

    Gaygreetings, Holebis ♥♂♂,♀♀♥

  • NO ON H8!!!

  • wow. this was not well done. i mean, sure it gets the facts across. but thats not all that matters here. the reason the no. on 8 campaign failed wasnt because more people just agreed with prop 8, but that their campaign was MUCH better. ours was all black and white and somber and sad things. they didnt inspire people! prop 8 the musical? win. too bad it was too late. i love the message but hate the delivery.

  • Hi Wiiosten - thanks for your comment. How do you think the delivery could be improved?

  • Next time our side should resort to lies and half-truths like they did. It seems to work.

  • wiiosten....wheres your video?...what have YOU contributed?

  • It's very easy to be critical when you provide nothing to the discourse.

  • Are you saying the "Yes on 8" campaign was better? It was better at lying and creating fear, I will give you that. They made it sound like your straight marriage would be in trouble if you voted no on 8. Cracked me up. The same people that voted yes on 8 are the same people that said it would be the end of the world when a black and white person got married. I HATE fear advertising and the yes campaign had that down to a science. Very sickening!

  • Yeah, their campaign was better, but they also have the benefit of using fear to drive their pathetic arguments. If we have learned anything from Bush and Rove it's that fear will turn out the votes. The problem is, what's there to be afraid of if gays are NOT allowed to marry?

  • Ya, I hear ya! Over 18,000 are allowed to STAY married, so they can keep being fearful. Another blogger wrote something about homosexuality being taught in schools. Oh it will, just not by the teachers. These people live in a cave, thats all. Ignorance is rampant! It is only a matter of time, EVERYONE will be able to marrry soon, I am not worried.

  • this WOULD be recorded in the san fran/bay area.

  • Well done...

  • Ill never understand why people like you sean werent making videos to help defeat prop 8. I would have loved to see your talent on tv.

  • I have lived here my whole life 2 and I completely agree with you. Shame on Cali!!! Well shame on the people who supported prop 8 atleast!!!!!!!

  • cherylele, if you ask me, I think the real problem that California has is that it is way too easy for the public to amend the state Constitution.

  • Bravo!!! And exactly correct! Either way, go to your local rally if at all possible. Be heard, be seen, it will reinforce the idea on your politicians that you vote. This is Not about 'gay' rights...it's about EQUAL rights. Period. To give the government the power to discriminate against anyone is to give the government the power to discriminate against anyone it chooses. Peace.

  • finally lgbt and supports have something on tv to be proud off, wonderful/powerful job!

  • Sean, thanks for putting together this outstanding promo video for Day Of Decision. I've posted it just about everywhere possible. Know your efforts and moving video have already helped generate interest in attending our Florida DOD action and am sure will do so for all our nationwide actions.

  • very good editing!

  • Nice

  • good work. i'm really anticipating this event. regardless...win or lose...i'll be there.

  • I, for one, appreciate Sean level of conscientiousness. And if Maine is the next state to get onboard I, a native Californian, will begin to wonder what happened to our formerly "trendsetting" state?

  • in my opinion, ever since arnold became governor, things have soured in california. i'll be glad when he's out of office. i don't know why the voters ever put him in to begin with.

  • I'm all about this cause, but why are your videos always so long? This could have been 30 seconds. I think you'll have trouble getting people to sit through the whole thing.

  • don't nitpick.

without sean, the video wouldn't be here at all...

if you prefer saying the same message but in shorter videos, why not make your own?

  • As it happens I've made about a dozen. They're posted under the username "stop8org," and I think they all have far less dead space than this video.

  • I just sat through 4 hours of Wagner today...I think I'll make it through this video....and Tampa will definitely "represent" when the decision comes down! See you at the courthouse, y'all.....

  • mattymatt - No worries about your comment. I do see merit in keeping promo videos short because of the shortened attention span of some. Whenever I do the promo videos, I focus more on the concept rather than on time limits. I actually do have a few videos that are shorter, like the Light Up the Night for Equality promo video from last December and the Eve of Justice promo video last month. I'll try to keep that in mind next time I do another promo. Thanks!

  • Let's keep it peaceful too people!

    We are non-violent.

  • Nice work. I'm ready for the ride...

  • I just think it's time for the federal gov. to step in and recognize gay marriages nationwide.

It's more than obvious that we will have gay marriage allowed in the US sooner than later.

    Tx for the video.

  • this is from wiki: "the California Supreme Court seemed ready ... to uphold the ban on same-sex marriage, while appearing reluctant to undo the 18,000 marriages conducted before the ban was passed.""

if they are the EXACT judges as last year though, then keeping prop 8 would be hypocrisy. i read that around June 1st, is when Prop 8 will be kept or thrown out.

i think MAINE could be the next state to get on board.
