Sheik was only in WCW for 6 weeks before they found out he couldn't work and let him stay home for the rest of his contract, which was a year. Someone wasn't keeping track of his contract status and instead of terminating it at the end of the year, it rolled over and he got paid another year. So Sheik got 2 years of pay from WCW for doing 6 weeks work. And you wonder why that company went under.

That is an impressive display of strength. I've tried Indian Clubs and find that the 20 pounders are even hard to balance, let alone swing. Any naysayers should grab a pair and they'll immediately see for themselves just how tremendous Vaziri's strength was.

Back in 1983, Iron Sheik challenged WWF Champ Bob Backlund to do this. While Backlund atttempted the Persian clubs, Sheik attacked Backlund and injured him. As a result, Backlund went into his match with Sheik injured, and lost the WWF Title.

I would guess they were teasing another attack on Sting based on people remembering this angle, only to show that Sting was too smart for that. But 99% of WCW fans had either never seen or completely forgotten that pre-Rock and Wrestling WWF storyline.
