  • pimp THAT… (wink)

  • Liberalism is a mental disorder.

  • this video is absurdly racist. why is every evil banker a white male?

oh, and where is any of their information from? i spent an hour on their site and found only very questionable secondary evidence. nothing of substance. what snobs--we aren't buying your bs, leftist pricks.

  • Great Campaign.. Drop those Tuition Fees, Debt is crazy

  • Lifetime debt for an education

    Wall Street loves it ~

  • I think there's a lot of confusion about what they're talking about here... this is actually an ad for Direct Lending --- the government believes they can provide loans and servicing to students cheaper and more effectively than say a bank.

These loans have to be paid pack no matter who you get them from. Government thinks they can do it cheaper. Yeah right. It costs them $100 for a hammer.

  • Affirmative Action=unqualified in schools

Best of the graduates, ought be the rules

    Minorities given most opportunities today,

where white student must earn their way

Grants for the smart, with the best grades,

not just for the Asians,Jews and Spades

The countries infrastructure is under attack

cause many colleges are often way too black

Let the students GPA's determine who gets what,

not the diversity counselor,or Affirmative Action nut

  • Pell Grants for college students should not be taken advantage of. It isnt welfare money and students who are serious should consider using it wisely to help their education. There are students out there who goes to school for the first semester, gets all their pell grant (about $4500 or more)and drops out of school...c'mon....you're gonna have to pay it back aniwase....i dont get why people do that....

  • ha wonderful video

  • Government Grants and Government back loans are the reason why school is so expensive in the first place.

As long as the money is going to be back up by the government, the college can charge whatever they want. They're payment is up front, eliminating the demand curve.

$33 a year used to pay for a year of school at Yale, figure for inflation, 1.5oz of gold or $1,500, and now it cost +$40K.

  • How about stopping the free handouts to everyone? I'm getting sick of everyone living off of the hard work of a few. You want to go to college? Pay your way.

  • Unless you get a scholarship or a pell grant all of the money you get as a 'handout' has to be paid back. You get 6 months from the time you finish college to start payments. And living off the hard work of a few? Like who's hard work? Financial aid isn't like welfare buddy.

  • fggf

  • hey it is working in CA!! HAHA. Hows that hope and change working out.

  • I definitely agree. Im trying to find a way to get back into to school. Gotta 4.0. Might as well use my noggin. If I could afford too. that lil 4500 pell grant didnt do shit for me but piss me off.

  • Then fuckin give it back you jerk. You should be happy you got that. You don't even have to pay pell grants off, they're like free money, and you're going to bitch? Take out a loan like the rest of us and pay it back but don't bitch that you got handed a 4500 dollar check for school. Most of us don't even get that.

  • Hard to tell you've ever spent a day in school. Your reading/understanding skills are null.

The point is it's not enough, you ingoranus. I work fulltime. Everybody doesnt have old money to dip into or rich parents. Also, everybody isnt willing to sell their soul stripping to get through college either.

For those who have a better understanding, the point is, dont tease with 4500 when school cost 10000+ a year.

They dont give u a check, they deduct it from your balance, you nitwit.

  • You want to help students, do away with the government student loan program altogether. It wont take long before college will become affordable enough that you wont have to give away your first 5 years of work to pay back the loans. There is a reason why people in their 60's could pay for their years tuition with a summer job, because there weren't gov student loans driving the tuition to unbelievable new heights every year. They did the same thing to housing making home prices skyrocket

  • You make no sense. You don't have to pay that 4500 dollars back. That was the point I was trying to make. It's a tease? Well then don't take it, maybe it'll add up for the next person that's willing to work hard instead of complain. Every Pell grant given out to someone who doesn't appreciate it is one that isn't going to someone that does. I don't have rich parents, I don't have old money. I have me, and my child and a whole lot of debt. So stop your complaining.

  • Oh and one more thing. 10k? So almost half of your tuition is paid for? Yeah. My tuition is about 17k. My sister in laws is about 25k. Your complaints are petty. It would take one summer of hard work and saving up to pay for your entire tuition. You don't even have to worry about loans and fees and interest if you're willing to work hard. How dare you sit here and complain. People like you are messed up and ungrateful.

  • Just because your dumb enough to go to a school whose tuition is equal to the cost of a house a year doesnt make my complaints petty.

The bottom line is that I cant afford school. stop trying to belittle people. It's a shame that people like you get off on that.

  • & I work hard EVERYDAY. Your assumptions that I dont make you look stupid.

  • I love it how suddenly you realize how petty you sound and I'm the bad guy. I'm not belittling people. I didn't call you lazy, I said if you worked hard you could do it. I did call you petty because you're complaining about someone paying for half of your tuition. That makes you look stupid. I didn't assume anything other than that you are ungrateful, and from your comments it's a very reasonable thing to assume.

  • @MommyNeva, Like I said before, everybody doesnt have parents paying their tuition, so dont try downing others because your ride through scholl is paid for by daddy.

The point I made is, if school was more affordable, more ppl would be there. If I can afford it, I'd be there. until then, I'll educate myself.

Half the tuition may not be affordable for everybody. smdh @ these shallow minded people.

  • This has nothing to do with if you can or can't afford school, it's your lack of appreciation for something you are being given. It's a hell of a lot harder to come up with 10 grand than to come up with 5.5, so try being a little more greatful. What you're doing is like getting a new car for christmas, then asking why you didn't get the rims, paintjob and leater interior to match.

  • You cannot be serious. First, how in the hell can you tell me what my comment is about? LMAO @ the nerve of these ppl. bottom line is if working full time, I still cant afford it, what good is it? not like I can use it, since I cant afford the rest.

everybody doesnt live w/ their parents, so school isnt the only bill a student can have. Stop being so narrowminded.

  • I don't live with my parents either, thank you. I also have a little boy. I haven't lived with my parents since I was 17. I am 20, and yet I still have managed to put myself in school. The point is that you're ungrateful for what you are being offered. There are other options and just paying for it outright. They're called loans. If you made so little money, they'd offer you one. You can take private loans out at a bank, and then you can pay them off. There are ways to do it.

  • Just because you choose not to look at the logical options doesn't mean you have a right to be so damned ungrateful. There are people in a lot worse situations than you are that still manage to get through school, and most of them would love LOVE to have half of it paid for before they even went. I realize that students have other bills. I certaintly do, but you don't see me whining.

  • You're so ignorant it's astounding. You think my daddy pays for my tuition? Nobody pays my tuition except me. Nobody. I work full time, and I am a full time student and a full time parent. And as far as I'm concerned, this conversation is over. You want to see bills? You should come take some of mine, I live on my own. Nobody pays my bills. I do it all. And I didn't get a pell grand as high as the one you were offered. You're an ignorant twit and I'm done with this conversation. Happy holidays.

  • @MommyNeva, would you look at that. This cunt cant keep her legs closed and she uses it as a bragging point? yeah, this conversation is over. You need more than book smarts.

  • Ignorant people are all alike. You feel the need to have the last word, always. And generally, it's with an insult. Does calling me a cunt make you feel better? Who are you showing off to? You're typing as if people are reading this. As if people care, which obviously they don't. Yeah, I'm a cunt. I have a little boy with my husband, and I work and I go to school, so obviously that makes me a cunt. I feel sorry for your parents, kiddo. What a dissapointment you must be. I hope you grow up.

  • @MommyNeva, I guess that explains why your going all out to try and get the last word right?

The last word doesnt make a difference to me. Your pointing your finger at somebody else, downing them, when you havent done shit with yourself. Please. Move on. Your so not worth the time to typr this.

  • I downed your attitude, child. Your ungratefulness was what bothered me. If I wasn't worth the time to type it, then why did you? Do you look forward to these comments? Do you intentionally goad people for some form of self satisfaction? Or is it just that this is the only attention you can get? You probably aren't even old enough to attend college. You're probably like all of the other middle schoolers here, trying to look cool. I hope that by the time you grow up, you lose your pettiness.

  • @MommyNeva, LMAO! ignorant people do like to have the last word. That's exactly why I let you have it.

    Enjoy your ignorance. LOL.

Oh, and what's disappointing is how you spelled disappointing. ROFLMAO! Grown as woman can't spell, but she has this big college education, right? Matter of fact, to be so college educated, you have alot of errors in that comment. Go do your homework lady.

    whomp whommp whommmp!!!

  • Is that Jessica Valenti?

  • Thanks for funding the ad Mr. Soros!

Amazing misinformation...the banker is taking nothing, the feds are. They are funding ALL of their dubious $87 B in fake savings on the backs of students. You should be ashamed to run an ad like this that lies to the students of America.

  • Nice to see my smiling face stealing money... ;)

  • It is sickening that banks and Wall Street got Welfare. They take the risk; when they lose, the public pays. Socialism for the big guys. These guys paid themselves more for what has been nothing but failure. Congress is no longer working for the people. The people's mood is frightening.
