im a combat physician ...at first i didnt know why command wants to put me in harms way .. but after saving a wounded comrade and finishing the mission i had never stop doing it ... i salute all the combat medics / combat physicians who serve out there, leaving the comforts of family and love ones in order to save lives... be safe always...
Thank you, Mausergirl. Nice job. For ten years, I was a Military Medic - Navy Corpsman, and then Aeromedical Evacuation Technician in the Air Force. This gives a good feel for what that time was like.
God bless these heros, and all who serve this Great Country. We must study and preserve our Constitution or these brave soldiers fight in vain. Let Freedom Ring.
i was a rn medic attached to the royal marines.wounded twice in action. borneo and aden.GOD BLESS ALL FIELD MEDICS AND NURSES NOT FOGETING THE DOCTORS.keep your dressings dry boys!
Very good video. Being a medic was the hardest thing I ever did. Not only are u expected to fight but u also have to look after everyone else. If u want to see combat make sure u become a line medic.
I am a US Air Force Medic and I am so thankful to have the honor that I do to serve! People may knock the medics becuase they are non-combatants, but for every 1 medic they are worth 15 soldiers, marines, airmen. We are the ones that fix them and put them back out there to defend your freedom.
there's an angel on the battlefield-ready 2 help the wounded while incoming screams are their calling are @ the distance, thank u 4 helping when the world stop.
love it...it's those who patch up the wounds of war while surviving the screams of incoming actions of the unknowned. PEACE through hearts and ctrl headshots till the end....
Don't knock the man because his information was a bit incorrect, I'm a medic with 1st BCT, 2/504th, 82nd Airborne. Doc is a moniker used by both, though usually Navy Corpsman usually gets the little added Devil Doc. But regardless were all the same and trained in the same place now. So stop down rating this man.
Thank you for honoring the medics!! I was a Combat Medic until I broke my back. I am not paralized. My back is not what it used to be though. Wish I was still over there in Iraq!!!
Thanks for remembering those who are often on the front lines - our medics. USAF medical services specialist technician, '83-'85 - never saw war, though. Worked stateside, taking care of those who served as well as their family. 5/5 stars!
no, sorry dude...the word doc came back all the way from ww 1, it was an army term used by all infantryman and scouts before the term medic was put into wide use, plus it doesn't really matter if its army or navy...ur still a doc
Hi zoo i'm also thinking of joining up but need to work on fitness, as far i know from uk medic side you can be in the field all the time or based at camp, also the usual admin jobs apply which is a big part. Go for it mate! See you there!

I should know I was one for 22 yrs.
Wow, I had no idea what the combat medics went/are going through. A close friend deployed again today (third tour in Iraq). Let's bring them home. enough is enough. We are losing too many sons, brothers and significant others.
wow..i cried and i usaly dont cry... thank you for the servace and yes.."Greater love hath no man than this who lay down his life for his friends"... insperational words.. i plan to go into the coast gaurd and fly hellicopters for them in the crazy whther they have 2 fly in or a medevack pilot for the army. GO CIVIL AIR PATROL!!!
i plan on being a army combat medic or a navy corpsman. When i join either one and if i have 2 go 2 war i promise that i will always put my fellow soldiers or marines lives before mine. And that i will do my very best to take care of my wounded comrades and to get them home to thier family and friend's
Finally I find a video about us medics. I've always said any man can be an infantryman and shoot a rifle in a firefight, but it takes a real man to put down that rifle, and render aid to a wounded man in the midst of said firefight. Too bad I can't do it anymore. Hit by an IED christmas day of 03, took shrapnel and herniated 5 discs in my back. Can't even be an EMT or Paramedic :(. Oh well, yeah for GI Bill and Army college fun huh?
Im going through the same shit your going through.Once VA approves my vocational rehab training issues Im just gonna take a gunsmith course. Its not the same as it was when I was driving an ambo in Philly. Or a Hummer in Baghdad. I wish you the best.
thank u so much for ur service. words cant even describe how much respect i have for u and all those who serve. Soldiers and marines have always been a role model 2 me. They are ultimatly my heroes. I hope 2 become either a army combat medic or a navy corpsman in the future, and i made the promise 2 myself that i will always place my comrades life before mine. I only hope that i will serve with guys like you.
Learn all you can and when you become a combat corpman never worry for the MARINES will watch over you. Combat corpsman is not the same as being an HM. Combat corpsman go through a type o Marine training.
wanted to thank you for posting this video. an old medic myself, I served in desert shield and storm and got out soon after. I will never forget what an older medic told me when I got to that unit. a medic in essence is a friend wanting to help a friend. the rest are details. my own thoughts are that it never changes. only the details.
im leaving on the 10th for the army to become a "doc" my thought is if i can bring just one person back home to his/her parents, wife, or children, i did my job.
godspeed and all the blessings to all those going into harms way-make god grant all of you the valor/empaty/ and wisdom that you will need-and make no men question your decisions/motives/porpuse-so others live-zombie18d
I am a combat medic. I leave in very soon. I cannot begin to tell you how much I love my brothers and sisters in-arms. Everyday I remind myself that there are many people who need are help. God Bless the United States of America...HOOAH!!
1st I owe my life to a Combat Medic and 2nd my 20 year old son is leaving for the great lakes to be a Navy medic.
Thank you to all the medics out there, My brothers, my sisters, my extended family you will always be. Thank you for exposing yourself to enemy fire just to save my wourthless life.
God Bless all our troops. My fiance was a medic in the infantry, he went with the invasion he is shown at 2:42 and 3:08. My heart greives for those lost but "I know" that he made and saved so many yet still will not be called a hero. He lost some of his best frinds. I can not express the deep respect I have for ALL of you.
im a SPC in the US army, combat medic all the way. I enlisted when i was 17 years old into the NY army national guard, and have spent most of my time with the infantry and cavalry. At one of the lower ranks in the army, i have Captains and first sergeants calling me Doc..there is alot of respect between infantry and medics. as a medic, men are prepared to jump infront of a bullet for you, aslong as you are prepared to jump on them the second they go down. Good video
this movie reminds of what we medics get to live for and that alone waakes me up and will be serving true till the day i die a soldier in the united states army
I watch this remembering my dad talk about the medic in his unit while he was in the 1st Ranger Battalion the man was fearless and every man in teh unit went into combat knowing he would help them and i wish to say thank you for looking out for them even when under fire thank you for your sacrafice
I watch this remembering my dad talking of the medic in his unit while he was in the 1st ranger battalion the man was fearless and every man went into the field knowing he would help them thank you for your sacrafice
THANK YOU is not a stong enough word for these medics, My hubby was a Medic over 13 yrs he is now mentally scared for the rest of his life (PTSD) (long story). To me they are heros fighting each day to keep the wounded alive, forgetting thier fears to save other . THEY ARE THE ANGELS OF WAR. May God bless them all and keep them from harm
i was an air force medic for two years. these air force, army and navy medics are the true heroes in any war. they do their absolute best to bring our men and women back alive, even if it costs them their lives, like airman jason cunningham on robert's ridge in afghanistan. HUA! i have nothing but respect for any medic in the armed forces. thank you and god bless you all.
No one deserving of a tribute more than the medics and corpsmen whose fight it is to save lives. I was privileged to give some and their patients a ride back in Vietnam over 30 years ago. Well done. Aloha :) RVN Dustoff 110
In WWII the must be scared to crap when going on the beach but the medics were brave and they gave there lives for the other people in the way and i Salute it.
Hello to all. I was sent allot of these tribute vidios by someone who was trying to hurt me because my fiance is in several of them. He never wanted me to see any of this EVER! It hurt him very bad to know that I had been sent these. These are the images that wake him in a panic in the middle of the night he is in this one at 2 min 44 seconds. Brave men and women meet Lt. Naqvi United States Army. Thank you all for what you have done for our country.
I am a Navy reservist, who just got off active duty with 1st Mar Div serving as a Corpsman. I lost my former roommate over there last August. RIP HN Chad Kenyon.
i recently joined the army and signed up as a medic and i want to say thank you to all that have served or are serving and to those who have died my you rest in peaace
I recently joined the Army National Guard as a medic and am heading off for training in less than 2 weeks. I thank you for this video, reminded me of why I enlisted.
Rest in Peace SPC CANTRELL, you will never be forgotten. I thank you for making this, it honestly brought tears to my eyes. TAZ MEDIC FOREVER (DELTA 2/32!)
I loved my job and continue to do it in the civillian world. I remember always wanting to be a nurse and so I did it, no questions asked. I was a flight nurse and was deployed 04-05 to Iraq. I'm glad I have that training and knowledge under me, it make's me proud to be who I am.
tanks for posting that man, being a military medic gal myself it makes me feel proud and gives me motivation to carry on and keep my boys carrying on when i return to war in a few weeks.
I'm just a young kid still in college, going away for Territorial army training tomorrow, I want to be a medic in the regular army once I finish my education, watching your video has quelled all the fears I have and has inspired me even more, wish me luck.
love the video much respect to the men and women of the medical corps in the armys world wide, playing the hearts and minds games. all our medical corps soilders in ireland are trained to paramedic and phtls standards
Spectacular vid...your editing skillz are topnotch. Thanks for posting this - these men and women who serve as medics are some of the bravest Soldiers /Sailors /and Airmen in the service - and they deserve to be recognised.
It's like "Please Remember Me" an emotional video and you chose great pictures.
Many rookie's say medics aren't real soldiers and while my first days as soldier I was so stupid to say it too... Medics have a hard and very often a dangerous job and they do it often brave in the first line of the combat zone.
im a combat physician ...at first i didnt know why command wants to put me in harms way .. but after saving a wounded comrade and finishing the mission i had never stop doing it ... i salute all the combat medics / combat physicians who serve out there, leaving the comforts of family and love ones in order to save lives... be safe always...

Great Video. I have been thinking of joining up and the path I would want to take is that of a (68w) Combat Medic
mgraves079 2 years ago
When you enlist, MAKE SURE you get in your contract 68W mike 6 option.
That will get you into the Combat Medic school, and then send you to LPN school once you have gone through the 68W course..
You will be one year shy from getting your RN degree/certification.
If you join the gaurd or reserves you can become a commisioned officer once you get your 2 year RN degree.
There is not any money to be made with simply the 68W MOS when you get out into the civilian sector.

i plan on being a army combat medic or a navy corpsman. When i join either one and if i have 2 go 2 war i promise that i will always put my fellow soldiers or marines lives before mine. And that i will do my very best to take care of my wounded comrades and to get them home to thier family and friend's
Convenient8765 4 years ago 2

Lots of luck.

wanted to thank you for posting this video. an old medic myself, I served in desert shield and storm and got out soon after. I will never forget what an older medic told me when I got to that unit. a medic in essence is a friend wanting to help a friend. the rest are details. my own thoughts are that it never changes. only the details.

Good video

If in this land of sand swept winds, and searing heat,
It should be that my life ends, my duty done.
Do not leave me here with those that caused my death,
Bring me home to rest in gentle sunshine, rain or snow,
And i will sleep content in this my native earth.

i was an air force medic for two years. these air force, army and navy medics are the true heroes in any war. they do their absolute best to bring our men and women back alive, even if it costs them their lives, like airman jason cunningham on robert's ridge in afghanistan. HUA! i have nothing but respect for any medic in the armed forces. thank you and god bless you all.

It's like "Please Remember Me" an emotional video and you chose great pictures.
Many rookie's say medics aren't real soldiers and while my first days as soldier I was so stupid to say it too... Medics have a hard and very often a dangerous job and they do it often brave in the first line of the combat zone.
