the only reason he chose to stop screaming was because of the SURGERY that he had. yes i'll send you and anyone else an interview where he says he had surgery from screaming that lightened his voice & made it almost impossible to hit his hi notes. getting the surgery resulted in him not being able to scream the same. he screams but its different now. dont spread rumors.

@spyhunter1223 its on the all access dvd. the band after sounding the seventh trumpet wanted to stop screaming, but were too afraid to make a huge style change, they didnt know if they could write songs without screaming. matt knew that he wanted to stop screaming completely on the record after that, with was COE. self titled had very little screaming. there has been rumors that there will be screaming on the new album coming out in june

i know that he stopped screaming b/c of choice. that's not what i'm contesting. i have the all excess dvd and it's great. i love it. however, he doesn't say that he can scream like he used to, and if he could, he wouldn't sound so different when he screams now. he had surgery. that, as well as a desire to stop screaming lead to the a7x we all know and love today. having said that, i still think stst and wtf are better albums than coe and the selftitled. but i love em all :)
