Great videos Rob - Can I ask you what you think of my diet? I am 6'1", 195 lbs, about 13% body fat, 33 yrs old, and am going for muscle building and fat loss at the same time.
2200 cal per day. 225g protein/day, 1 protein shake in the morning, then 6 meals of the following:
110g skinless boneless chicken breast (with garlic and ginger), 35g brown rice (cooked weight), 100g mixed frozen veggies, 4 peanuts, 1/6 tablespoon olive oil, 60g salsa. (323 cal per meal). Will it work?
OMG imagine doing this every day! I rather build up muscles slowly than waste my time with stuff like this. but hes a professional soooo.... whatever.
It makes me laugh when poeple say 'Ian is fat' this is not evidence that his advice is not working. Genetics play a HUGE role in how the body looks. Rob just has better bodybuilding genetics than Ian thats all, it dosent mean he knows what he is talking about...
He said the more you cook carbs the faster they will get into the bloodstream which dont make sense...oats (not cooked) = medium fast carbs BUT when cooked they GET slow digesting carbs.
@LiftingForLife You should do a video with clips of the comments he makes and refute each one, I'd watch it and I'm sure others would like to see it as well. He states a lot of factoids most people would agree with so it would be nice to hear the empirical evidence of why they're indeed factoids.
@funnyhappydays yeah, if he says you must eat carbs to get lean, and drink water to get stronger, and more importantly never go close that overrated proteine, well he must be right, he is in a good shape isn't he?
@LiftingForLife Sorry to drop you the news, but you are fat. Don't pretend that you know everything about nutrition and fitness when you obviously can't even handle your own health.
PS. If you wanna criticize rob, please give an exact example and proof that anything he said was false.
@LiftingForLife Get the fuck off Rob video you fucking fat fuck moron!! You ain't got shit on nobody and what make u think a fat fuck like u can give advice on nutrition?? What a joke! Get some results first then you can talk like u know something
Is that the reason why you look like a fat lesbian chick, compared to Rob?
PS: You might want to watch your words if you want to avoid crying on Youtube for another 2 weeks this time. But hey, do whatever the F you wanna do. You're a joke, McStruthers.
@LiftingForLife I can understand how you can question videos about the hodgetwins, as they aren't professional body builders. However, when you feel the need to try and refute what someone like Rob Riches, who is a pretty well renowned and professional, body builder, it might do you some good to actually give people an example of what he's saying that is actually wrong as opposed to just saying it. It would save all the negative comments and makes you look less like an arrogant douche.
@LiftingForLife So...him saying blueberries are fast digesting carbs, and oats are complex carbohydrates are wrong? Those claims are actually correct. Like I said, examples please. I'm not here to argue with you, I actually watch your videos. And I don't think I speak for myself when I say I'm acutally interested in what you claim is wrong information presented by Rob Riches.
hey i didnt really get a liquid type when i bletned the oats pancakes was it cuz of the type of protein i used? how many grams do u put of oats as well
Like and Favorite link clicked! Thank you so much for taking the time to show us these easy yet delicious and healthy meals. I'm definitely going to try some of these recipes!
You deserve so much more attention/views for the information you give and such quality of knowledge towards fitness / diet. All the other fitness/diet videos that have 500 000 views don't come close to the quality this gives. Great Job man. I`m only 16 and I literally just came back from buying every single ingredient you mentioned and will be starting to make these meals myself. Great inspiration Rob. Keep it going !
I was wondering about something. This might be a completely rookie question, but your first meal was the protein powder pancakes. You said the 2-3 pancakes would be around 45 gr. of protein? But I heard somewhere that our body can only "use" around 30 gr. of protein pr. hour? Is that true or?
And by the way, thanks for the videos. They are great.
@Fattycantu Not it´s not correct. It´s just something like a "guideline" u should follow that each meal should contain like 30g~ Protein. Our body is able to store/use a really higher amount^^
hey guys go check out my newest video on my body transformation it will be greatly appreciated i also plan on doing a series on my first body building show so make sure u SUBSCRIBE =)
i really like how he tells us what to eat.. for me, i think diet is more than 50% of the work to get the body we all want.. not a lot of people tell us what we can eat, even if we ask them.. they usually tell us to subscribe to their website, which usually isn't free :(. so thanks for the free advice.
hey Rob, In your opinion, what would you recommend as a pre-workout shake for a hardgainer such as myself? i have been consuming mass gain protein as both pre and post workout shakes but im curious what else i could try. or if you think i could just add whey powder such as you were using and mix it with something else?
Thx a lot Rob!! These videos that you make are FILLED with positive information on how to keep in shape and I just wanna say it's awesome! It has definitely helped me learn more about nutrition and how important it is to have good nutrition towards your body. Your videos are not only my favorite but very, VERY inspiring. Thanks a lot brother.
Rob those "yam pancakes" tastes great!! I just made some (eating them now) but used chocolate casein protein and strawberry whey instead of the vanilla and I can't believe how good they are! I even added slices of apple to one of them and one with blueberries. The taste = AMAZING!
Why take out the yolks? Egg yolk increases HDL while lowering LDL, plus it contains about 2-3grams of protein and jammed pack with fat soluble vitamins.
Great video..Love the breakdown of the different types of carbs and how the body absorbs them at different rates...the yam protein pancake is a great idea, I'm gonna try that one. Thanks Rob
the first time i tried the pancake recipe it sticked lol but it smelled great! and the second time wooow i was a cheff lol thanks rob for this recipe! :D
Hi Rob, another great video thanks for this, iv just a quick question could what you have cooked here be frozen and then microwaved or would it ruin the food, as i am in the military and live in the barrack blocks and dont have access to any cooking facilities except a kettle and a microwave. i want to clean up my diet but food the mess serves isnt what you would call healthy or even edible.
@Jws1989 lol do they serve steel cut oats? those are very healthy...i cant understand why they wouldnt serve healthy foods? dont they want their soldiers in top shape??
@Jws1989 damn thats rough man. guess you really are left to your own devices on that one...that being a kettle and a microwave lol.
all kidding aside though, that really bothers me. the men fighting for their country are served garbage to eat and are expected everything in return. i damn well hope they serve better food on the front lines!
dude....i tried the yam cakes today and they kicked butt.....i added a few walnuts to the mix and they were awesome.....keep the recipes coming dude......thanks
Hi Rob, well done on your progress this year, your whole presance has stepped up a gear, nice work!
Just a quick note on watermelon, the sugar is high glycemic, you are right but the amount of sugar in the melon is so little that it actually has a low glycemic load i.e there is not enough sugar in it to substanstially effect blood sugar.Worth noting as they are great in smoothies etc especially if you blend the seeds which are amazing antioxidants. Keep training Rob!!
wonderful video! very informative. Rob what are your thoughts about incorporating good fats with carbs? many people say only have good fats with a protein source only.
