  • Thanx!!! for uploading this... :)

  • first time i've ever heard of this series...pretty good so far :)

  • the narrator is Walter Cronkite, an american journalist who passed away I think three or four years ago. Back in the sixties and seventies he was known as the most trusted man in America and was nick named Uncle Walter. A wonderful journalist/reporter who exemplified what true journalism is supposed to be. Sadly the reporters of today can't hold a light to this great professional man.

  • those who want to se the rest of the documentarie go to thepiratebay and search war and civilization foror now there are 7 episodes the last one will be uploaded tomorow

  • wow i loved this, thanks for uploading, assirians, babilonians, hitites, egyptians, and eaven greeks practised a diferent kind of war in the brons age!moustle they used war chariots!becaus the horses dident have yet a powerful back

  • wow i loved this,thanks for uploading

  • Why does history always begin with the Greeks? How did they invent war "as we know it today." ?So Assyrians, Babylonians, Hittites, Mesopotamians, and Egyptians didn't practice the war that we know today?

  • I remember watching this years ago as a teenager. I was deeply impressed, but I couldn't remember the name of it. I'm very happy to have finally found it. Thanks for the upload!!!

  • war today is fought by pussies , there's no honor in puting a bullet in another man's heart 100meters away , only honor was in hand to hand combat or with swords

  • @BayouBluesMan I would rather be alive than honorable to be honest with you.

  • @buio5 not really my friend if u refused to do battle or fled u'd be shunned by the community especially in sparta no one would talk to u , give u food or shelter u'd eventually commit suicide.

  • @BayouBluesMan Good point but I meant to say I would prefer a gun to a sword most times of the day.

  • @buio5 u raise a very interesting debate my friend , why would u prefer then gun? u think it'd give u higher survival rates ?

  • @BayouBluesMan A sword has it's advantages yes, however a gun is much easier to use, just point and shoot. A sword needs skill, skill needs training, I dont like that.

  • my god i haven't seen this documentary for years, god bless those who uploaded this....

  • @MultiGunner666 Thanks for good comment... Please if you have tame watch our other documentaries.

  • i beleive the first "alien race" that comes to earth will ask us trrops in a war on their own planets to fight as mercenaries simply because we have become so good at it, and we breed quickly and learn how to fight even more quickly.

  • @spitandfire That would actually make an interesting book.

  • @adamjohnwest There is a short story with this theme called 'Ranks of Bronze'. There is also a pretty

series of books called Janissaries by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle.

  • the answer to the guy at the starts question, i highly dought it, we love war as a species, its horibble yet we continue at each other all the time, even if we get world peace, i think it would be far in the future and probablt the reasons for war will no longer exist.

  • so happy to have found this! Thnx for uploading!

  • How is the Greeks first, Akkadian, Assyrian, Babylonians, Egyptians were the first to start of decisive battles.

  • @seanamico Egyptians were our pets my man learn your history everything came from the Greeks ! !

  • @JAEAREONE, Not according to reality.

  • @seanamico Egyptians were around before everyone but they were tools they werent as advanced as Roman and Greek learn your history.

  • @JAEAREONE, Not true, you have to give where its due. Egyptians were the most advance at one time as Greeks came much later & were advanced, as many others that continued to come after except Arabs, Turks & Mongols which are total brain dead people all others became more advanced. Greeks are not as advanced today, this does not take away from what they are, what they were & gave to the world.

  • Comment removed

  • @JAEAREONE, Greeks, Roman after them, Persians before them, India, China were all very advanced. Iran actually held in the university of Gondeshpure & invited Greeks, Indian & many others to exchange & expand mathematics, science, astronomy & so much more. Arabs claim they saved the Greek works, but in fact it was the Persians that knew who Greeks were & the work must be saved, they already experienced Arabs burning all the libraries in Ctesiphon & other cities in Iran & destroyed all they can.

  • @seanamico If i was to pick the strongest empire i would pick the persians!!

They dominated through out the years!!

  • @JAEAREONE, Well they have all come and gone. I have seen Iran become a great power after Mongols, after Turks & China has made that transition with Communism to become a super power. If Iran could put aside this cult of Islam & interference of UK and put them in there place, it has the ability to become a super power again.

Each nation became weak by a weak leader as Alexande, Genghis Khan & many others proved it. Would you not want to know what would happen if it was Alexander vs. Cyrus.

  • @seanamico Alexander looked up to Cyrus though. But yes i could imagine the mayem behind that tought..

  • @JAEAREONE thought

  • @JAEAREONE, I know he liked Cyrus but to have some of these meat in a battle, these are true leaders & warriors that would not run, hide or back away from a fight, they were great tacticians.

  • @JAEAREONE, To see what Genghis Khan would do vs. Qin Shi Huang emperor of Chin. I always wonder what would happen when it was two great leaders not one strong & the other weak & unprepared for war.

  • @seanamico arabs,turks,mongols...umm arab...wasnt persia in arabia or babylon...turks..ottomon...??

  • @thepope38, Iran ruled Arabia for 1200 years. Cyrus sick and tired of the invasions from Babylonian and Assyrians invaded and took them out and ruled it for over 1200 years, lost it to Arabs and then took it back until English separated it from our land.

Turks brought by Arabs to control Iranians got there ass handed to them by Turks and got owned for nearly 800 years and the stinking Arab rule was less than 200 years.

  • @seanamico Sure not to reality its History that its according to.

  • @JAEAREONE, I dont understand, reality its history that is according to?

  • The narrator is the great Walter Cronkite. Thanks you so much for posting this. Damn America needs more reporters like this man. At one time he was considered the most trusted man in America.

  • thanks dude i tried to record this but it never came back on

  • whats the song at 5:46
