We should change our own lifestyles, God shouldn't adapt to ours and than be blamed for what we should be doing selflessly.
God is infinite, and is not confined to one space in time, meaning - Him being present at a place of worship, does not limit Him to being everywhere else in the world (I know, try and wrap your mind around that). We are called to be His hands and feet, so before you blame God for children dying of starvation, ask yourself what you are doing, because we're called to be His hands and His feet.

One time as I was ending a prophetic song-I heard a voice singing behind me (with my natural ear). But no one was there. No one was singing anywhere in the room. I asked those who could hear the song to come up & sing with me what they were hearing. When they did, we were in 3 part harmony! A pastor actually saw the angel. It created an atmosphere that was out of this world! Glory to God!

If someone says something crazy it must be true! Not. How to tell he's lying? There cannot be two waveforms on a track. Saying "oh my God" isn't using His name in vain. Misrepresenting God's character or nature & speaking falsely of Him is what taking His name in vain means.

i had an angel sing with me once! i was up late at night.. was really hurting emotionally after a hard day, and i started making up songs and singing them to God. and that sort of man's voice that you hear later on in the song, that sounds halfway like an instrument and halfway like a really rich male voice, started singing with me. i was alone in my room. i was so amazed that i quit singing, and then it stopped. but it was definitely an angel and it definitely does happen! God is REAL.

Oh my gosh...just a couple weeks ago...Our Praise and Worship team was having intercession at my church...and as our lead singer was singing...3 different guys in the team said they started hearing these AMAZING harmonies...and they looked up, and NONE of us had a microphone...we were all praying or playing music...Our lead singer was the ONLY one with a microphone at the time....at first they just dismissed it as they were just hearing things...until they found out the others heard it too. Jesus said that we need to become like children - for everyone judging and saying that this isn't real, maybe you should become like a child and just have faith! It may be hard to believe by your human intellect, but if you just have faith and let your spirit witness whether its true or not, you will realize that it is totally God. We can only have faith so far as it goes along with scripture. Quite frankly we see this as dangerous because there is no biblical foundation for being drunk in the spirit. Oh yeah there's a verse about not being drunk with wine but filled with the spirit, but being filled with the Spirit is characterized by fruit not gifts of the Spirit.

Sorry saints but I could not listen to this song all the way through. My Spirit was jumping. There is no glory to God in this "worship" song. It is not based on scripture and there is not one line that praises God. These are the last days and there are many spirits and signs and wonders going out to deceive the lost AND the saints. Being drunk in the Holy Spirit does happen, I have experienced it before, and my friend has too, we were at camp trying to go to sleep, and all of a sudden she falls out of her bed and starts laughing her head off, our dorms were under the chapel, and we just got out of service so it was pretty cool :) God is amazing, we were worshipping at camp, and one of the directors took a picture of the worship session, they look back at it, and there is an angel in the photo arms stretched over the chapel
Being "drunk in the Spirit". Yes, I've had this happen, but I honestly don't believe it's a God-thing. It's a psychological phenomenon that is no different than Eastern Meditation.
The reason I came to this conclusion is simple... does it give glory to Jesus Christ through spreading of the Gospel of His salvific plan? No. It does nothing but make you feel tingly. I have honest problems with the "getting fuzzy with Jesus" side of things that personally, I'm still working through theologically.
Word of advice... you need to trust in God and stop judging. Second, ask God and be ready to receive. Being filled with the Spirit of God is awesome and there is so much freedom through the Spirit. We enter in to the holy of holies throught the blood of Jesus, not of our own mental theology or capacity of understanding what is and what isn't. If you can't get pass the fear is because Satan is holding you back from receiving.
Being drunk in the Spirit is no where in the scriptures. The Word of God is the only source we have for undeniable truth. There are other Spirits at work in this world beside that of the Holy Spirit. The Word of God is the Spirit's own instruction and if there is anything, I mean anything, that is contrary to the Word or cannot find a foundation in the Word then it is not of the Holy Spirit, for He will not contradict Himself. Test the Spirits.

@143suzieQ143 I disagree, and believe that be a very inaccurate teaching on that text. However, if we continue this conversation it will no doubt evolve into an argument and that benefits no one. So I will let it rest with that and if you desire to know more about why I believe this then you can message me and we will discuss this in private.
A word more about other spirits. Allah is a real demonic spirit, Baal is a real demonic spirit, etc. Other religions do have sincere, powerful experiences. However, they are anti-biblical and do not point back to Jesus, in John 16 Jesus says that the Holy Spirit points back to Jesus, if that is not happening then the Spirit at work is not the Holy Spirit.

But, hey, have a little mercy and humility, we all have our issues anyway. Him saying oh my god is no worse than whatever it is that you stumble over. So, repent for your own sins first.

That's not what "taking the Lord's name in vain" means. The Hebrew word "shav" we translate as vain means empty, having no meaning, or insincere. A better way of translating "Do not take the LORD (YHVH)'s name in vain" is "Do not take the LORD's name falsely" or "Do not speak or act in the name or character of YHVH falsely." Saying "oh my God" isn't using His name in vain. Misrepresenting God's character or nature & speaking falsely of Him is what taking His name in vain means.

i had an angel sing with me once! i was up late at night.. was really hurting emotionally after a hard day, and i started making up songs and singing them to God. and that sort of man's voice that you hear later on in the song, that sounds halfway like an instrument and halfway like a really rich male voice, started singing with me. i was alone in my room. i was so amazed that i quit singing, and then it stopped. but it was definitely an angel and it definitely does happen! God is REAL.

Oh my gosh...just a couple weeks ago...Our Praise and Worship team was having intercession at my church...and as our lead singer was singing...3 different guys in the team said they started hearing these AMAZING harmonies...and they looked up, and NONE of us had a microphone...we were all praying or playing music...Our lead singer was the ONLY one with a microphone at the time....at first they just dismissed it as they were just hearing things...until they found out the others heard it too. (:

Jesus said that we need to become like children - for everyone judging and saying that this isn't real, maybe you should become like a child and just have faith! It may be hard to believe by your human intellect, but if you just have faith and let your spirit witness whether its true or not, you will realize that it is totally God. And it is possible to be drunk in the Holy Spirit - in fact it is plain awesome:)

@86blessed It is not lost souls that have a hard time believing this, it is mature devoted Christians who see this in contradiction with the Bible. We can only have faith so far as it goes along with scripture. Quite frankly we see this as dangerous because there is no biblical foundation for being drunk in the spirit. Oh yeah there's a verse about not being drunk with wine but filled with the spirit, but being filled with the Spirit is characterized by fruit not gifts of the Spirit.

The angel is the '3rd voice' from 5:43-5:52 and the '2nd voice' from 5:52-6:00 because Jason isnt singing in between 5:52 and 6:00. But its
the same voice both times and also doing the same harmony.
PS. To make it easier to pin point when you are listening: it is actually the MIDDLE harmony while the three voices are singing and then it continues with the backup vocalist to 6:00

Sorry saints but I could not listen to this song all the way through. My Spirit was jumping. There is no glory to God in this "worship" song. It is not based on scripture and there is not one line that praises God. These are the last days and there are many spirits and signs and wonders going out to deceive the lost AND the saints. The Holy Spirit does not bring fear and where in the bible have we seen the holy spirit cause people to have their eyes roll in the back of their heads?

My sister and I have been drunk in the Spirit of God before! It was like we were being melted like butter! Never thought such amazing overwhelming love existed! WOW! It was the most amazing experience of our lives!!! It was the coolest thing to experience it with someone else. Will always hang on to that night. God is soooo cool!! Praise you Lord Jesus!

Being drunk in the Holy Spirit does happen, I have experienced it before, and my friend has too, we were at camp trying to go to sleep, and all of a sudden she falls out of her bed and starts laughing her head off, our dorms were under the chapel, and we just got out of service so it was pretty cool :) God is amazing, we were worshipping at camp, and one of the directors took a picture of the worship session, they look back at it, and there is an angel in the photo arms stretched over the chapel

Being "drunk in the Spirit". Yes, I've had this happen, but I honestly don't believe it's a God-thing. It's a psychological phenomenon that is no different than Eastern Meditation.
The reason I came to this conclusion is simple... does it give glory to Jesus Christ through spreading of the Gospel of His salvific plan? No. It does nothing but make you feel tingly. I have honest problems with the "getting fuzzy with Jesus" side of things that personally, I'm still working through theologically.

Word of advice... you need to trust in God and stop judging. Second, ask God and be ready to receive. Being filled with the Spirit of God is awesome and there is so much freedom through the Spirit. We enter in to the holy of holies throught the blood of Jesus, not of our own mental theology or capacity of understanding what is and what isn't. If you can't get pass the fear is because Satan is holding you back from receiving.

Being drunk in the Spirit is no where in the scriptures. The Word of God is the only source we have for undeniable truth. There are other Spirits at work in this world beside that of the Holy Spirit. The Word of God is the Spirit's own instruction and if there is anything, I mean anything, that is contrary to the Word or cannot find a foundation in the Word then it is not of the Holy Spirit, for He will not contradict Himself. Test the Spirits.

A word more about other spirits. Allah is a real demonic spirit, Baal is a real demonic spirit, etc. Other religions do have sincere, powerful experiences. However, they are anti-biblical and do not point back to Jesus, in John 16 Jesus says that the Holy Spirit points back to Jesus, if that is not happening then the Spirit at work is not the Holy Spirit.
