Additionally, the handful of features that I do like from Vista and 7 have been emulated easily on XP. So, I don't really have a reason to upgrade to 7 unless I get a new computer which would most likely require newer hardware support and drivers to function at its best, something that XP is no longer good at seeing that it's almost 10 years old and is not optimized for (or even aware of at install) hardware made within the past 2 years.

So after using windows since win95 (kind of wish I was old enough to have been around for 3.1x) I haven't been able to upgrade from XP. Windows 7 is good and I had no problem with Vista really, it only had a bad start which 7 did not. 7 is a more complete Vista and that's all it is. I do not like the Aero interface, sure it's shiny and nice but it's impossible to customize besides the color. It's like they made the windows pre-xp interface all over again just it features translucency.

I have had a windows 7 computer I built myself for about a year and I have not had 1 virus why because im not a fucking idiot viruses actually do more damage to a mac then a pc I proved it I put a virus ...trojan horse on my friends 2010 macbook pro it is now a fucking brick it destoyed it nothing works turn it on and it just has a blank screen.

I am not an Apple fanboy. I have a Windows 7 computer because it has far more support and PCs are cheaper. I don't have the money for a Mac. I managed to trade a few PS3 games for an iPod though which I do love... For computers I got with PC but the better OS is Mac's...

I don't get viruses because I am not stupid... I don't use any antivirus programs because I know what I am doing. For the average person Macs have the safest OS. That is why businesses that can afford Macs get them. If they had Windows computers programs may just not respond and it will crash or some other random thing can happen out of now where. Not that it happens a lot but they just aren't as reliable.

Like I said. For the AVERAGE user Macs are the safest. Linux isn't pre-installed and most people don't know how to install an OS. Linux requires some experience. I would say Linux is the safest that I know of. But for average people Mac's are the safest because they know how to use them and they are preinstalled.
