Hey don't disrespect the fender metal head, it actually was a decent amp. Oh lordy lordy it didn't have tubes, a lot of metal guitarists from the 90s used ss heads. Chuck and dime to name a few.
Sorry Fender but its not going to workout. I love fender guitars dont get me wrong, all guitars I own are fender and will always be fender. Amps however, no. its Marshall or Peavey for me.
Let's get serious shall we? This amp, which retails for $2,599 can't even compete sonically with a $600 Bugera 6260. If Fender is going to try and shill us a high gain amp, does it really cost almost $3K to get there? My prediction? It will last as long as their Metalhead.
Its MSRP is $2599, which means it actually gonna sell at about $1,600. And I don't think Fender is going for the mass market on these things. Likely they'll only make a couple hundred or so, instead of trying to compete in the high gain market where they haven't had a strong presence since the MetalHead Amp.
Oh dear, the old "this doesn't sound good to my ears therefore it's crap" argument gets wheeled out again. Just 'cos you don't like it, doesn't make it crap. Gotta love comment sections on the internet....
Now they're finally gettin' it. This sounds really good, even with the aweful compression inherent with YouTube videos. I bet, without even looking, that there are comments below that say it sounds bad. If you are one of them, shame on you. Your just trying to give the illusion that your hearing and taste are better than most, when in actuality your just showing your lack of tone recognition. THIS IS GOOD!
@0Heavy0Metal0 That is one of the most hypocritical things I've ever read. Saying some thing to the effect of = "Shame on you for thinking it's bad sounding, trying to give the illusion that you're ear is better when you're in fact just wrong as it sounds great". That's the same argument doubled back on itself.
@ibanezbloke Really? mmm..interesting. You know what, your exactly right. I did sound hypocritical. That is not what I was trying to convey, but I can see how it would be read like that. My bad. I was really just trying to say that there are so many negative comments on some of the other Fender demos that were unjustified, and that this is finally something I think they got right, so there shouldn't be too many negative things to say about this one. I just chose my words poorly
