Here's some advice for the reviewer, look up the word brevity. I just wanna see the product and the quality and you've buried that under a whole bunch of talking and useless banter. This video could have been 2-3 minutes long.

I just got one of these but the newest version which has a red display and no headphone jack so its all integrated with the component cable. However the sound clarity is perfect, no white noise or static... But i went and used it in my friends car and it sucked. Point is if your car does not have a good antenna or good fm reception for that matter, this will not be a good product. I have a Audi RNS-e nav unit and it utilizes a strong shark fin antenna so i get great reception...

Don't put up with static. Its totally unacceptable for the price. The transmission is terrible with this thing. Try running a gps app... the spoken voice directions you will not be able to hear. Airplane mode for a handsfree transmitter? Belkin fails... knowing their product, it will fail within a few months to boot.

All of my other Belkin products (car charger, portable power pack) continue to work since upgrading from the 3G-S.

this is a good product but it's not perfect. the big problem is when I change the gear (to 5th gear), the gear rod touches the transmitter controls which just sucks. I think they need to redesign the item and set the controls just on the mic button rather than having the controls on the base.

I have brought it but recently found that the product has recalled by Belkin since end of last year because of safety problem with the part connectted to the cigarette lighter of the car that will cause short cicrcuit problem harming the user. I want to have refund from my local agent.

Although genrally a good review, it would be useful to describe: if it supports RDS information display of the songs and say something about the handsfree. Also the information provided could be cut down to 5 minutes.

Great video. How well does this compare to other iPhone hands-free products? On a scale of 1-10? A friend of mine has one which isn't belkin but says the person on the other end of a call can hear a lot of engine noise and he has a new car with a quiet engine. I'm just worried about wasting $100 on this if there is something better. What's your opinion? Thanks

I spent about 80 dollars on a belkin fm transmitter like this one, and to tell you the truth it was a huge waste of money. My $30 Belkin transmitter worked a heck of a lot better. The only downside to it was that I couldn't charge my Ipod. So thats why i bought my new one. But my advice is save the $50 and go with the simpler models. Great review though!!!!
