Domestic violence is one of the hardest crimes to take to court, most of it is hidden or unreported and its your word against his when you are in the privacy of your own home. If he would have fought back and hurt her, he would have been viewed as a terrible person. My friend's sister was in a abusive relationship, we told her to not to stay with the guy anymore but she intended to still say that she loved him. I dunno what goes on, but it must be hard to women in abusive relationships wanting to leave or not. Domestic violence is one of the hardest crimes to take to court, most of it is hidden or unreported and its your word against his when you are in the privacy of your own home. Prosecution is an issue for everyone regardless of size, colour etc. And getting out is not as easy as people think, why? because the systematic abuse leaves u numb, u lose yourself, u exist and its hard to be brave enough to leave - this is a positive video to raise awareness why are u all fighting, be strong together!

@11TheAnswer11 My mom did not receive such pity. It's pretty white women that are payed attention to. Minority and unattractive (fat, ugly) women are not pitied. Just because there is help available doesn't mean women are always delivered from their situations. Men are not being helped by accusations of onesidedness and double-standards. They need as much help as women do. Not to long ago there was no help for women. There is hope now. Bring that same hope to the men that need it.

I would report a situation if I thought he was in an abusive situation. I just happen to be more experienced with violence and abuse towards women, which is why I raise awareness about that specific type. It won't happen to me because I can profile an abusive person, thanks to 3 years of knowing one. :)

My mother was battered for 3 hours and then threatened with a gun by my father, and we spent the next year worrying whether we would have to move in a shelter. I remember the women who's heads were misshapen and tearing of multiple band-aids. I remember when I opened the door to my mother's bedroom and the terror I saw when she thought I was Daddy. I remember the emotional crap my dad put us through.

Thank you for sharing this video! I grew up having a very violent father, every weekend involved broken dishes, bloody faces and threats of murder. It surprised me that i thought I was strong enough to endure the pain like my mother. This is no joke, this is painful!!!
