Immediately after televiewing this official last episode, I watch an SNL from September, 2009 where Jerry is on the same prison range as the Oz characters, and tgen I watch that episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm with Jerry and the gang.
Just before this clip, a scene with them in their jail cell that's sad. The camera slowly zooms out while Jerry and George talk about the top button of the shirt, like in the lst episode. Etc etc. Nothing changes.
Personally I loved the finale. If they had of gotten Jerry and Elaine together or something along those lines that would have been lame and exactly the opposite of the what the whole series was about. The show was never about happy endings or anything working out for anyone. For 9 years they were greedy, selfish people. Putting them all in jail I thought made a lot of sense.
Ahh The Finale. I am one of the biggest fans of this series ever (IMO) but I still don't like it. There are too many loopholes with it and such, but it was good to see everyone come back.
"you suck i'm gonna cut you". that line was said by larry david. anyone else see the meaning in those words, especially since its the last scene ever of seinfeld?
@mikecachino I'm pretty sure it wasn't all done in 1 take....so that means when you see George and Kramer....it doesn't mean a joke was just told. 70 thumbs up for a stupid comment? Lmao.
Though I'm not really a fan of the Seinfeld finale, this last scene is pretty hilarious. They should've done one more episode, maybe even an hour-long one, a whole year after this aired to show Jerry and the others getting released from their year-long sentence in jail and returning to their regular lives. At least then the show would've lasted through the entire 1990s.
When he says "I don't come to where you work and knock the license plate out of your hand", is this a reference to the Globochem skit from Mr. Show? Or is this a take on a standard comeback to hecklers?
It's a reference to a standard comeback comedians use. "I don't come down to where you work and heckle you". But, since they're in jail, where the stereotypical job is making license plates, he personalized the comeback for inmates.
hi does anyone know of a tv series(80's) from america, basically its about a gate in Egypt that a american family go through (not sure why or how) but they end up in a different dimension or something, where they are on a planet like earth, but different, for example a country or region where women rule and men are slave, trying to get back again, help ! p.s its not a cartoon
@freemind4ever AHH CRAP. I knew the title like, five minutes ago! It's based on this amazing novel, whose name escapes me as well. But it's a fantastic book. Try Googling it. That should give some helpful results
