The thing with it is that they never shut down in the same length of time. My iPhone 4 is very sporadic in how long it takes as I have to turn it off alot at work. I noticed that it will sometimes switch off between the table and door of the canteen (about 10 seconds max) but sometimes takes until just before I get onto the floor (about a minute by the time i've been to my locker) Its not even a case of apps running because sometimes its quicker when I've got a lot running.
