I know that some companies are uncertain because Zii doesn't have much volume shipped, which is a whole chicken-n-egg situation because without a big customer they can't get volume, without vol they can't get a big customer. When Creative deployed such a limited tablet then it didn't enhance their profile.
I've loved them since it was 3dLabs but it just isn't getting the right traction. In Linux programming is made easy by provided libraries, perhaps they need to spend more time on Android?
i have no idea why the zii chip did flourish back when it was first known of its existence - it had soo much promise and the time when the first 1ghz snapdragon appeared - the first zii chip could do everything the snapdragon couldn't
i dont know why it wasnt a big hit . it might because of the chips unique architecture - or maybe because of its price
i would really like to know why it didnt become a big hit
@CRAKIZGOOD i would like to know aswell...it has a lot of potential, but i think it has to do with programming. i have a creative Ziio tablet, and its quite unstable. it crashes a lot. maybe thats what made bigger companies look away?
