  • Yesterday meets the future! Those were cool videos and today they make awesome teaching material and more continue to be created today.

By the way, it's cool to remember the past, but also remember in order to live a full awesome life, keep your eyes on the future...it's full of brilliant adventures just waiting to be explored! :-)

  • This begs the question, if we whom still hold these truths to be self evident, and belive in them to the point of scarfice, and now to be called mentally ill, is that trained mental illness by the Gov in order to fullfill an agenda? Well I perfer this agenda than the Marx, Commy, whatever is coming, I Love this IDEA!!!!!! DO YOU!!! Then Help me make this go VIRAL

  • I loved these as a kid! Though now I think that if they mention provide for the general welfare, then they should have added withing the 18 enumerated powers granted.

  • GROUP HUG!

  • promote the general welfare???? hmm COME ON LOOK UP WHAT THE WORD LIBERTY MEANS ALREADY.

  • OMG! I remember this as a kid! This was awesome!

  • wow, This is exactly why I know the pre-amble by heart. I havent seen this for over 30 years....thank you.

  • I Remember every saturday morning I used to watch SCHOOL HOUSE ROCKS,,IT WAS GREAT,,,brought back memorys I think it should re air its a great way of teaching

  • They wouldnt be able to show that on TV today, it would be considered 'hate speech'. The solution to 1984 is 1776!

  • I remember this one ! Too bad most of our government has forgotten the lesson contained in this simple childrens short !

On a related note, I really liked "Bill". You know the one where a bill becomes law?

"Well, I'm just a bill, yes I'm only a bill. I'm sittin' here on Capital Hill. It's a long long way to the capital city, with a lot of other bills waiting to be signed"...or something like that :-)

  • thanks for the memories, yup shame we don't have this kind of programming today.

  • OMG I love it - THIS was how I learned the preamble...

This kind of programing is sorely lacking these days, and even if it was produced it would probably be so convoluted with political correctness we would not recognize it as anything resembling accurate education.

    Good memories here...

  • Nice :)

  • thanks for the post... we should have more educational stuff on tv!!

  • I did cry. I miss my life!

    Thanks so much. love,p

  • AWESOME V!!! You rock.... I remember Schoolhouse Rock like it was yesterday. I have my own version of Conjunction Junction. It goes like this: Bush AND Obama suck!

    Thanks for posting. 5 Stars!

  • Watch "The Obama Deception" in which it is shown that Obama has broken almost all his campaign promises and is little different than Bush.

  • Beauty V, Thanks for posting!

I suppose Liberals today would find something offensive about it.

  • Oddly(and sadly) enough, this is how I memorized the Preamble as a kid. It has come in handy more times than I can tell you....

  • Obama rendered the Constitution Null and Void.

  • Obama nor any politician has that power unless We The People give it to them.

American is certainly a nation of at least 65% idiots that voted for Obama AND allowed the Libs to just pass the biggest spending bill in the Nation's history without even reading it! - So just who exactly wrote it then?

I suggest you adjust your perspective friend.

Government is the problem - Power to the Sheeple!

  • STOP FEMA concentration camps!!

    great video

    peace

  • Love these! Almost made me cry.

It was like we all used to care.

(Old movies always had great morals in them too. Today, rarely.)

Like the school house rock about the Bill. "I'm just a Bill" "On capitol hill" Every Saturday watching cartoons, these would come on in between.

    Thanks CV!

  • The judge looks like Henry Kissinger. Hmmmm.

  • Hang 'em!

  • Thank you so much for posting this! It makes me cry to see how far we are from this simple joyful idea.

  • I bought the DVDs fairly cheap from Amazon....they are great watching even now! agree....we need a few new ones to help kids ( AND grown-ups) understand what the heck is going on NOW!

  • i remember this well im sure it was promptly ttakin off air in the late 70's early eighty's i think i could be wrong

  • Very cool. Kids need something like that now!

  • saturday night live did a few of these about the fact that the weapons companies make money from war and own all the major media.

  • Thanks for the reminder. I will be showing my son this video.

I doubt it will ever get back on TV though.

    watch?v=jeYscnFpEyA

Obumba has summonsed this man to the White House to discuss his "disturbing" video. We should all go with him :)

  • Ah yes, I do remember the Constitution. What a wonderful document it was.

  • Ack! Treason!!!! You'll receive an all-expense paid vacation to Camp FEMA for that remark!

  • They need to put this back on TV instead of all the propaganda B.S. that's on now days!

  • I remember this!! How about.. conjunction junction whats your function? Or the cartoon video for bad bad Leeroy Brown... the good old days... seems so long ago

  • I miss the 70's as well. Two days ago I bought a second hand record and eight-track player (Sears model). I was getting it going there at Value Village (More or less like a Goodwill store). It took a minute or two for the turntable to actuate due to disuse but eventually it came to life so I bought it along with two albums and took it home.

  • I loved school house rock!!

  • i remember it. but i dont know from how long ago. seemd like along time ago when my son was little. with all thats going on right now, this video makes me feel a little sad somehow.

  • Holy smokes! I remember this from when i was just a little snot. And i'm canadian. lol. It seems to me this was one of the shows i never ever missed for some reason.

  • i'm 49 and do not recall ever seeing this before

  • Me too, 53 never seen it. LOL. All I rember are talking horse or mule and some other strange shows from the early 60's.

  • now this one is definitely showing our age when we can say that we saw this on tv :)

  • Ohhh these were the good old days....WTF happened?!?!

  • I liked when Yosimite Sam was smacking that elephant across the ass with that plank and yelling "YA MULE! YA MULE! YA YA YA"

  • I miss the 70s...it really was the wonder years....I told my 13 yr old niece one night while we were watching an episode that it was really like that in the 70s...she couldnt believe it...she said "you didnt have cell phones?!!?"......id go back to 1973 in a heartbeat...i was 7...i had a schwinn stingray 5 speed..orange crush ...5 ft sissy bar ....and a handlebar am radio...W - I - N - G Dayton....Nixon, bell bottoms, end of vietnam war....and how bout the song..Hey there lonely girl....

  • Blue girl bike with flowered seat covered in vines and pink flowers and an am/fm radio my grandparents bought me so that I could listen to Life in the Fast Lane while speeding around in circles in my basement. Loved Schoolhouse Rock cartoons and songs. I'd hate to be a kid in 2009. To innocence of the 70's.

  • @centervilletn I was more for the 80's but it was still the same. Grape Crush, my Schwinn was bright Red and made of heavy steel. I had an Atari 2600, I must have spent every quarter i owned at either the arcade or a candy where you could look out over a sea of different boxes covering the floor and pick out anything you wanted and fill a bag for a $1.

  • This really dates me as it came after my schooling. My kids didn't get TV (we all did homework together after dinner) as they spent afternoons outside.

  • My kids had to learn this in school during the early 1990's. We used this video (yes, I actually own it) to teach it. They can still sing it now as adults. Its too bad these were taken off TV. "Interjections" was my favorite.

  • No, I am not that old. Okay, yes, yes I do. :)

  • Conjunction junction what's your function?

  • You know damn well that every time you read the preamble this song plays in your head if you were a little kid watching Saturday morning cartoons in the 70's.

Wouldn't it be great to hear all of the congress forced to sing this song on the steps of the capitol.

    "No more Kings"

    watch?v=ym9Ujw-xEOc&feature=related

  • we the people....

    are getting screwed

  • I got the box set of all the Schoolhouse Rock episodes for my kids - they're awesome. Sure they're dated, but the inventiveness of the songs and cleverness of the animation carries through. My kids love a bunch of them, though they sometimes get tired of me yelling to play "I got 6" or "Verb Is Action" again.

  • OMG - what memories that brings!!!

  • good lookin out cv

  • Thanks for that blast from the past! Also reminds me of the Shazam/Isis hour and Land of the lost. Great memories.

  • CV, It is a shame, but the schools don't teach the truth to our future "World Citizens". We are all going to have to have a Second American Revolution! Big Brother wants them all for his "Civilian Defense Force". We have exhausted all of our options.

  • HEY HEY HEY its the Fat Albert show! Yes, I remember too. Now careful, showing this might get u on a potential terrorist list.

  • *****..... :-]

  • Shucks!

I AM old enough to remember that.

    lmao
