Giving to the poor is not giving a donation. the whole picture is compassion, movement of the heart to rescue to give freely. Giving to the poor is spending a day in some run down shelter and becoming a servant doing something the public would laugh at you and scorn you for. Giving is not money thats what all religions do.

Well, even Christians can think that God may not love them anymore. I have struggled with that for so long maybe because I'm kind of a judgemental person so I figured.. hey we have to be perfect for God to love us.. I'm not claiming to have given my life for helping starving people, but I have done more than most people. I have helped out at two different food sorting facilities and a facility that sorts out donated supplies for homeless people.

Hmmmm...but you're missing the second half of the story...God created man and man CHOSE to separate himself from God. God wants people to choose to love and serve Him because love isn't real unless it's a choice. Because of man's choice to live separate from God, evil exists in this world. However, God made a back up plan in the form of Jesus Christ. The world isn't irrevocably ruined. There's freedom and redemption all wrapped up in one person.
Jesus Christ coming in the flesh was set from before the foundation of the world. God wanted His Son to be the savior for all mankind on the cross and give forgiveness to all who will come to the cross and believe on His name and repent of their sins. If you read romans 3 you realize why Jesus Christ had to come to justify us before the father. Yes people are starving because of sin which leads to death brought on by generational curses. The gospel of Jesus is The Power of God!

The first chapter is on 'Human Behavior towards God'...meaning those who ignore, despise, reject, etc. I'm putting in common statements of people, with my answers and Biblical answers(if I can).
the words and delivery are what really make this song. You can feel the passion and gratefulness in the singers voice. This song calmed me down after a stressful couple weeks.

Well, even Christians can think that God may not love them anymore. I have struggled with that for so long maybe because I'm kind of a judgemental person so I figured.. hey we have to be perfect for God to love us.. I dont know.. then I just trusted that Jesus loves me.. and I'm me and I can't do much about that? im not sure if thats the right thinking

We could never be perfect enough for God. thats why jesus had to die on the cross, to take the sin that separates us from God, so that we can have a personal relationship with him :)

the grace comes from people who arent apethetic making comments about starving people in africa and do nothing to help them. are you helping hungry people. yes i am, i work with the homeless here in mississippi. we feed them. what have you done today to make a difference, christian or not, you can still care>

You're trying to make me look like the bad person for asking a real question.
I'm not claiming to have given my life for helping starving people, but I have done more than most people. I have helped out at two different food sorting facilities and a facility that sorts out donated supplies for homeless people.
But again, what does that have to do with your god's grace? He loved them soo much that he allowed them to be born to starve to death?

well for one thing hes not MY God, and people live by free will, those people chose to live in a desert. and its sand, what grows in sand? not much. they choose to overpopulate, not taking into consideration there might not be enough food for their children to eat? and you want to blame it on God? they have the choice to move, but do they? theres been people in africa starving for centuries. im glad you help others, i greatly respect and appreciate your compassion to help mankind.

It's funny how christians like to attribute anything good that happens to them as a blessing from god and anything bad is either your own fault or the boogyman's (devil's) fault.

Your anecdotal evidence doesn't hold much ground.
If there were a god, he wouldn't have spend 6 days making a unfathomably large and complex universe out of NOTHING, only to have it irrevocably ruined with his first generation of humans.
That's like pulling out of the car dealership with your new car, only to be t-boned by a semi in the intersection right outside the dealership. Only worse because god is supposedly omniscient and saw it coming lol

Hmmmm...but you're missing the second half of the story...God created man and man CHOSE to separate himself from God. God wants people to choose to love and serve Him because love isn't real unless it's a choice. Because of man's choice to live separate from God, evil exists in this world. However, God made a back up plan in the form of Jesus Christ. The world isn't irrevocably ruined. There's freedom and redemption all wrapped up in one person.

Jesus Christ coming in the flesh was set from before the foundation of the world. God wanted His Son to be the savior for all mankind on the cross and give forgiveness to all who will come to the cross and believe on His name and repent of their sins. If you read romans 3 you realize why Jesus Christ had to come to justify us before the father. Yes people are starving because of sin which leads to death brought on by generational curses. The gospel of Jesus is The Power of God!

I think it better, even, to extend that same grace and love we have been shown to the "nonbelievers and haters". The apostle Paul was, we cannot forget, formerly Saul, and hated Christians and Christianity. But he experienced the grace and love of Christ the Lord.

Amen! Liking and loving are not the same. You don't have to like what people do, to show them love, to demonstrate love toward them. Love is not just a feeling; it's acting in someone's best interest regardless of how they have behaved or will behave, or how you feel. Desperate, lost, broken people do desperate, dangerous, sometimes hateful things out of fear. Imagine how much you would love someone who saved your life. Let's not let them down. It's our job to be the Way, not just point to it.

Yes, maybe, its the will of the Lord to love our "enemy" but if they don't ever listen, don't follow and even don't care at all in spite of every good thing we do, why waste your time with them? They will ignore you, laugh at your back and even and mock you. Religion is nothing but a plague on humanity. All religion does is promote hate and ignorance towards science and nonbelievers. Honestly, as long as there's religious ignorance, there will be war in this world. Amazing how people can be so close minded... ignoring sound scientific evidence. I think that you are missing the point of religion. You see, I have known many religions and their doctrines. Almost all religions have one thing in common, a missing connection. "Religion is Evil" is a very illogical statement, why? Because it is people who makes evil out of somebody not religion. Christianity is a religion and it does not promote hat but rather grace, love and compassion. Only, false religions promote hatred and racial cleansing.

This is my favorite song from them. The lyrics are so powerful even with a simple piano in the background it really gets to your heart. I can imagine seeing Jesus coming down from the clouds and this song coming on.
