Its baffling that no Shenmue characters have appeared in Virtua Fighter as unlockable fighters. Even if their IPs are dormant, Capcom keeps them alive by featuring their characters in their other franchises. Capcom and Nintendo do this, its one of the reasons they are so successful.

The only reason Ryo was in Sega All Stars was because Sumo wanted him in the game.

Sega is allowing its own IPs to die while publishing other people's games. That's idiocy.

@cryinglion: I totally agree. If I look back at some of the games for the Dreamcast Shenmue is one of the games with the most potential for the new systems. Better graghics and a lot of new possibilities due to the limited performance or power on the Dreamcast. just think of what might be possible in Shenmue 3. Yu Suzuki's original dream could become reality...

I play Shenmue up to every christmas and I love this game as much today as I did for ten years ago. Music and graphic are just amazing. Hvae never played a game with same atmosphere!

@mysega: What I don't get is that SEGA understands that there is a huge following for this game. And yet, they'd rather continue wasting money on stupid Sonic games that nobody wants. They even went as far as teasing us with Ryo's appearance in Sonic's newest racing game. I don't understand SEGA's backwards thinking.

@mysega I agree. The atmosphere pulls you in and you really feel like you're living in Dobuita. As much as I love GTA IV, Shenmue has something special that hasn't been duplicated yet, not even in newer sandbox games.

I love the music in the information menu so much.
