  • Thank you very much ! for the wonderful Sri Suktam.

  • thanks for nice video

  • thank you for this video.may your life be filled with lakshmi.

  • Lovely video

  • This is a wonderful rendition. May I know who has sung this?

  • thanks bro....

  • thanks,

    jay mata di...

  • wonderful. Thanks

  • Thanku so much for this!

May Thaayar shower Her blessings on all!

  • Alakshmeeryae nashyatam means:

Alakshmi means Jyesta Devi, goddess of poverty n sister of Lakshmi Devi.

the one who is not Lakshmi.

    Nashyatam means: may get destroyed.

So the phrase implies.. May the poverty get destroyed. or May the godess of poverty or Jyesta Devi not enter our lives.

I came to know the meaning when i hurd it in a pravachana.

  • u need a pat on ur back for this volantary service to humanity. well represented with photos. pronounciation is very good. daily i recite this for thepast40 years. thank u on behalf of all

  • thank you very much

  • "alakshmeem nashayamyaham"-O Lakshmi!May I destroy - drive away inauspiciousness from my home with your blessings

  • it rocks!!! Hope it gives me a good life...

  • when we write sanskrit there ll be a word which ll be like 'J' pronounced like A(1st letter A) or less than A. the word A does not appear actually in that sentence bt it is used as a catalyst only for purpose of Pronouncation.

so pls dnt mix up Telugu meaning with Sanskrit meaning.

    Alakshmi is a wrong word.

if u pronounce A along with the previous word then it adds up a meaning to lakshmi.

  • thank u soo much for uploading Sri Sooktham.

    Bless You.

a comment passed by a viewer may b right.

bt i say.. when u write "Prapadye Alakshmeerye Nasyataam" in Sanskrit (devanagari script) the word A in Alakshmeerye will be the end letter to PrapadyeA ..Lakshmeerye.

and it is not Lakshmeerye Nashyatae.. it is LakshmeerYeNashyatae. the word Ye will be the starting word of Nashyatae like Yenashyatae.

over all it ll be like..

    PrapadyeA..lakshmeer..YeNasyataam.

    contd...

  • I surprise for one thing. So called great masters of Sanscrit do blunder in Sri Suktham. It is in fourth slokam " Chandram Prabhasam.." ....They recited as "LAKSHMIRME NASYATHAM" but it is " ALAKSHMIRME NASYATHAM " if we recite as they sung entire Lakshmi will vanish. I deeply regret for telling this. All who follow Sri Suktham Please take care of this thing and read as "ALAKSHMIRME NASYATHAM " Thanks

  • Absolutely, it is indeed "alakshmeem" - and what you have explained above is true. Unfortunately, more people don't know this.

  • Thank you

  • text of prayer is half listed. can u give full text(link)

  • i recite this daily. But had doubts in pronouncing the sanskrit words especially reading them in Telugu script. This is so well rendered that I should be able to correct myself soon. Thanks a lot. Any idea on who has recited this?
